I guess I meant the Heribei. Lots of resin production!

From what I remember, calcium level should be adequate in native clay soil. The parent material is rock, so it has lots of minerals including calcium. Clay soil has high buffering capacity for pH, so lime isn't usually necessary.

Good steady rain going on, glad I got those diseased leaves out of there! :smoke:

the only thing with the heribei is it never grew over 4 foot tall which could be a good thing if u are worried height or it could just be the pheno..if this plant would have been at least 6 foot tall and the buds are as compact as this one it would been a monster yielder..i never use the native soil here where i am. i always replace the holes i dig with either happyfrog, ocean forest or my own recipe. i want the make sure the roots have plenty of room to move about bc all i have here is old blue clay. i dont use lime but i do use Oyster shell flour which has plenty of Calcium and also Gypsum. i bought a few bales of Peat moss at walmart a few days ago bc they had all the potting mix's and peat moss half price since they dont keep it all i suppose. we havent had no rain here in past 7 days. its really dry out right now and temps are in the low to mid 90s so the ladys gotta have plenty of water right now.

Hey guys what's up! I was gonna leave one plant as a tester at plot 2 but after I went there and seen how big the sweet purple had gotten I said fk it and transplanted it as well lol this strain has been so easy to grow so far and surviving on nothing but oscomote and rain. Ever now and then I would give it a gallon of water when I went to water the biddy and it's did nothing but thrive with minimal care. Here she is in all her glory. I also wanted to show ya fellas what the root ball looks like. I always was curious as to what they looked like while actively growing lol

Nice root ball! Pretty dense! I usually don't pull the males that carefully. Been dry here too, we just got lucky this morning. Not sure what we got but it was enough. I'm going to have to go by walmart. My neighbor got a bunch of discounted plants recently. Then he had to figure out what to do with them.

what are those spots on your every plant on the bottom part? ; )
i have no ideal and dont worry about small things like that. the way i have to grow things like that are normal.

thx bro! the biddy i transplanted had the biggest root ball of all them. i bought some supplies the other day at wally world. they had all gardening materials half price. i dont remember doing that last year so i picked up a few things :dance013:

That sweet purple looks nice. I read the link that you posted and it sounded like a good northern strain. But I don't see many flowers on yours yet. I would expect that it would be further in flower if it would work way up here.
Cheers GG

ya i thought it would be earlier as well. its been in flower about 6 days is all. i did plant it late though around april 20th bc it was a fill in for one of the Serious 6 beans that didnt pop,so far everthing i have grown from paradise has been great and easy to grow and in the past 3 years i have had 100% germ rate.. i got the heribei from S.a.n.n.i.e's website here is the info on it. i read the reviews and what stood out to me the most was that this strain flowers very early and fast. i will be growing it again next year for sure since i had 9 seeds left of it. i like it is in full flower right now bc august is always hot and dry here which makes it alot less chance to get bud rot. im pretty sure it will be done by 1st week in sept. the only thing that is strange is it never got no taller then 3.5 to 4 foot tall

Herijuana X Ierdbei F3
Heribei is made for the terrible wet and cold Dutch climate by Knutsel our personal die hard outdoor grower. Much effort and time is put into make these seeds and tested them in outdoor set ups. Before releasing the Heribei is tested outdoor and indoor with the greatest satisfaction.

thanks KY, I googled it and edited my post and you had already answered. lol.

lol oh! i hadnt even noticed! the reason i wanted this strain was because of all the great reviews i have read on S.a.n.n.i.e as a breeder has been awesome and when i found out he delivered to the states i was like bingo! im still confused as to why it hasnt got no taller, but the nugs are rock hard right now and its got a skunk/lemony undertone with hints Floral, spice and fruity aromas..very different smell that i have ever had before. i figure i might get 1 oz off,but its defo worth another shot next year just bc of how early it flowers for here at my lat.

i went out today and hit all my plants with the SNS-244c fungicide. i will use the SNS 1 more time before the buds get to big so i can coat the insides of the stems so once the buds close over they will have protection from bud rot spores in there..After this i will only be doing a light spray with actinovate & bud factor x on different days..like Bfx on friday and actinovate on tue and it will be early in the Am so they will dry off fast...i will weekly be drenching with regalia, insect frass and aloe till around week 6 on 8-9 week strains.i hope that this will coast me on thur flower with no bud rot or very little rot.

if you spray a plant now in veg/early flowering that will prevent bud rot!?

yes that is the goal. from reading the thread from silverback he used greencure to coat all the inner branches right before the buds close over the stems to help fight off the spores. i prolly went a little overboard with my IPM this year but i did not want to take the chance and have a year like i had last year. i lost around 60-65% to mold last year bc i didnt use no ipm and i had incomplete feeding program that had no calcium in the food which hurt my plants alot. i was to cheap to take my earnings from 2013 to invest in some complete nutrients, good soil and fungicides along with poor strain choices and i paid the price for that so i decided that i will never do that again. I said from that point on i will spend whatever is neccesary to get the most healthy plants i can going into to flower along with a few proven organic fungicides that actaully work, but their best mode of action is prevention rather then curative.

i will also be keeping SAR activated in my plants to also help. the other thing that will help against rot is silicon which i did not buy last year and was a big mistake. imo silicon should be a essentail plant nutrient bc its so beneficial in so many ways starting with early veg thur end of flower. it will also be part of my feed program from here on out

wow bro that biddy looks fkn great! i hope mine turns out like that! i really like the biddy its been so easy to grow so far and its not had any trouble with any bugs or disease yet. i got my karanja oil oil from here http://buildasoil.com/products/karanja-oil-organic-from-india. i dont think i would use it now though since u already got flowers. this is for veg to help keep the bugs from damaging the plants. u wont want to spray that on ur buds bc it will give them a horrible taste and flavor

I'm just making a list for next year.I found your thread very helpful tho.Thank you Kyg.
Yeah biddy is doing just great but the others two a the same spot:bluberry and durban poison are doing just as fine as biddy..so maybe it's the right spot..

Good idea getting the products on before flower. Still have to watch the weather, but that will give you an edge when the rain comes. I had a near 90% crop loss 2013 due to mold. Picked too late. Tried to dry outside. Hope the weather cooperates this year!
