I hope you don't mind me chiming in on this one, because there is a lot of misinformation going around about the SK 400+.
-its a 441.6 watt (@steady state) fixture comprised of
40 x Cree MK-R 4000K
14 x Cree XP-E2 (mix of red, amber & photo red) @839ma
(in-house custom MCPCB)
CCT: 3643K
CRI: 87
total luminous flux 38,799
Drivers: (2) meanwell HLG-240h-36A (91.3% eff in this applic)

Reflector's optical efficiency 94.2%

Could you link that? I'm interested to see the proof if its the led strips in thinking of.

@hammerhead you may want to just read this and form your own opinion before taking advice from people that dont have their facts right.

I don't know where Cree LED's are made. I know they are good. I dont hold it ageist them if they buy Cree's from China. I dont think we make Cree's in the USA?. There's no doubt Starlight's COB led is nice. I'm waiting to see a light from them that has full spectrum white., I'm not into the pink color will wait until they have 1 to compare with others..

Lets not clutter KB Thread with none relevant info. Lets see what KB can do with theses LED's. That's why I'm tagging along.

Noticeable difference in bud size and stacking since I hit em with Pure Flowers...

Stacking as well as any HID, I would say....

Turned OFF the intake as the tent cant get any higher then 70F with it on...

Personally would give these lights a 10/10 so far, they have not let me down in any way...

@kb apologies man. I'm new around icmag, still getting my bearings & I didn't realize it was a personal grow log. Won't happen again, & keep up the great work.

Very cool thread Krunch. What I'm seeing your plants do with these Starlite units is very impressive. I've used Lumigrow Pros, Area 51 3w 3700k CREE led units, and am now playing with some of the Bridgelux Vero 29 COBs. Whether the light is white, blue, or red the plants do well. Some of this new technology with the passive heatsinks is great.
Growmau5 has a really good Youtube channel with a lot of led stuff.

Keep up the good work, this thread kicks ass.

Appreciate it Funk!!! I was going to go the DIY way, possibly purchasing Groumau5 kit he was selling...

Now that you pointed out who he was, I recognize the name...

Would like to see what he thinks about Starlites LED's...

Now presenting....

our latest 300W UV B/C LED COB prototype
300wuv.jpg

There are no other company developing this tech. Especially not for marijuana.
This stuff is so strong we're told to not turn it on without any protection... the 300W UV B/C fixture is not dedicated for grow.. it's more for sterilization for other industries... like hospitals and cleanrooms / food facilities.

We have a 100 UV B/C that would better suit cannabis growth.

Hey sorry Krunch.

So how many day's have they been in 12/12?, they look great! What is the footprint of one LED unit?

Thanks.

That would be very useful keeping mold spores in check.. Many have outside air coming in like myself.. UVC kills mold spores...

Nice to see you running these or just testing LED period. I feel the opinion will be valued.

A 100 W UV light like that would be absolutely killer. PM is everywhere around here and almost impossible to keep out unless you have a sealed room. The hand held UV units available are quite pricey and I don't really want to be in there when it's doing it's job anyway.

Spent the morning moving the bigger buds to the perimeters to get the smaller ones more light and prolong the time to raising the lights more...

Thinking tomorrow after they recover from this rough manhandling they got this morning, I will STRIP these plants of ALL fan leaves....

Its a new technique ive been using with the guidance of a master stripper...

They are beat up, found that 12" long cola in the corner not getting light...

These are plants I stripped 8 days ago, each plant had maybe 40 small pairs of leaves on them after I was done and rebounded like this...

Damn your coco looks really dry in that last pic =X Your there tho not me. Plants look awesome. I have never had the balls to strip that much from my plants as I always thought it would shock them far more than help. Especially since we know stress causes them to sometimes herm. How tall do you think these plants will be?

Alex, I currently question the bulb locations on the 600W machines. I do not see how they can cover a 2x4 like the smaller ones do. Look how far apart yours are then look at the proximity of the bulbs on the 600 watt machines. Is there some sort of lens angle or what have you that directs light differently in the 600's so that they are able to achieve this coverage?
