Thinking tomorrow after they recover from this rough manhandling they got this morning, I will STRIP these plants of ALL fan leaves....

Its a new technique ive been using with the guidance of a master stripper...

Krunch, please elaborate on the fan leaf removal. I imagine it is to aid the development of the lower buds but when do you do it, is there anything else you do to the plant?

As long as the plant is healthy I routinely bend stalks, supercrop and even split the main stem slightly to spread growth and get light to the middle of the plant. Just curious how they react when you take away the main solar panels????

I tried this 3 yeas ago. Works great, but man, the old dogs freak out. Ditto flushing. I do not go straight pure water at the beginning, as using a diluted mix in the beginning will flush better

Very nice! Looks like the combo of good old dyna gro and leds is a win. After you mentioned phosphites on the PG thread I quickly noticed the pure flowers stimulant you mentioned also contains phosphites, something I had forgotten about. The only LEDs I've had the chance to dabble with are the LUSH leds. And that has been limited. Possible R&D for a new company very soon. But that may be limited in number as well. Still very promising. Cost for a complete overhaul is a little unreal for myself at the moment.

Haven't posted pics since last week, after the defoliation....

After the fan leaves are gone, the plants look a bit "naked" and not photo worthy....

Next week ill post pics again, after they have bushed out some....

The quality of this harvest will be extremely high, lots and lots of THC already and pushing smells out, that I haven't enjoyed since the late 90's....

KB! Long time no see! I am very interested to see what happens here. A buddy of mine uses some larger LEDs in addition to his HPS lights. He gets incredibly terpy and resinous buds. His yields are solid too! He swears it is the added spectrum of the LED.

I can't wait for the day when we can move away from inefficient HID lighting. I will be keeping an eye on this one.
