Kimbo Kush Cropping Q

Kimbo Kush Cropping Q

Greetings!

your grow last year of Kimbo Kush looked pretty sweet. I'm out in the central gorge. I lost three plants from mold from that storm. Yeah lesson learned there. At least this fall looks to be normal.

Anyway I'm gonna grow Kimbo Kush this year. I looked at your pictures. Did you crop/super crop/ trim your plants?

They looked great but they looked like mine do when I crop/top them. Alternatively it could be a short round plant like the Cherry Pie.

Just curious. I don't plan on topping mine but I am gonna prune the crap out of them in veg.

Lemme know your thoughts if you get a sec and thanks for your post. Awesomely helpful.

Yeah most of the plants were topped, but like yahoo man said, even if you don't top them, they're naturally bushy either way. I think topping works really well with kimbo kush. If you look at post 3 in this thread, you can see the split growth after I topped them, then trained the growth outside the cage.
Thanks for the interest, good luck with your kimbo this year, let's hope for great weather.

This plant isn't topped, and the yield turned out just as well as the others that were

Here's a picture of a topped and trained plant, it does help the yield a bit.

Phenome- I'm late to the party seeing your thread but thanks for posting it. I'm in Oregon also and have been interested in growing Kimbo outdoors this summer but want finding much info out there in how it could do in our conditions. Your experience looks like it went well so I may have to give it a try.

Thanks :tiphat:
It finishes early to mid October. (October 10th) is when I chopped. Very dense nugs, so if late season it starts to pour down rain, id chop it before it molds out. In oregon, pm and botrytis is so prevalent that I would only stick to sativas outdoors if you're not wanting to risk mold problems. If you're up for the risk, I think if this season presents you decent weather this is a great indica hybrid to run outdoors.
