Thats not right. Love the shortbread maybe some day lol. the cotton candy throws out bananas aroun week 8-9 but i can tolerate that for now . i will be working on a old blueberry from around mid 80s (oregon coast) that i have been playing with for 10+ years got a good amount of seed to sift from the last x with a sour dissel(was a accident). But that has been on the back burner for a few years now .

I meant to say bananas as in fat kola nugs.
That mid 80's blueberry work sounds outstanding.
Nothing more I love than blueberry.
If I was you I would kick that project back in gear :)

Rare 70's collection get my mouth watering.
I guess it's all up to the breeder.
Old school hazes are at the top of my list for breeding stock.

Click the persons name on the post you want to pm, then it will pop up a bunch of options. Click send pm

Loving the color hope it continues for you. Is it just me or do most the new genetics tend to have sativa traits in flower . i dont remeber seeing indy doms go sativa looking ?

Yeah I am figuring about October 20-27th.
I figure this date off the flowering time indoors, from the first signs of flower production.
So really, I've never seen this pheno or strain go outdoors in oregon, so I will be interested in the actual outdoor flower date.
But most likley from the looks of the flower stage, late October forsure.
It started to flower 8-24. It's about a 60 day flower.

Next time you take pics can you through a close up shot? That thick stem seems to have some odd node spacing giving how vigorous it looks ?

Yea sounds good. I'll go snap a pic close to the nug now and I'll be sure the picture can see the node spacing below

Looks bomb . its got that nice old school real triq development (alot of the new strains have white stalks ). That purpleing is nice is it temp related ? Why dont people trim the larf off outdoor like they do indoor is there a reason ? I trimed my cheesequake up half way so there would be little to no larf so everything would. Go to top nugs . is it a mold risk to trim up larf ? ( i am not a outdoor guy it is vary new to me ).

Great questions.
The purple is relative indoors in high heat, but, it does seem to be bringing out purple right about the same time frame it's been getting cold at nights.
All the lower larf isn't cleaned up because lately I've been busier than id like to be.
I just finished my shortbread grow and have no help with trimmers.
So I have had to balance job work, outdoor, and indoor.
All of my time I focus on my indoor testing, so by the time I finished cropping and trimming it, the lower nugs on my outdoor have already fattened up so I would rather keep it there for yield.
Plus, not sure if you enjoy hash, But I love nug run hash oil. And I can't afford to go spend 60 a gram at the shops for it. so the larf is about to be my best friend :).
On the plant temperature aspect, the more leaves, the better come late season when it's really cold at nights.
Some people use plants on walls when designing thermal barriers for buildings.
But my honest beliefs of mold are, every single person in oregon that tells me they have bud rot, water every day.
I don't water every day, I just wait for the soil top layer to be dryish, and then I water.
Sometimes if it's cloudy and rainy, I won't water for a week, sometimes more.
Using regular fox farm bag soil.
The people who think these watering methods are odd, usually are the guys that deal with bud rot every single year.
Such a big issue every year, luckily, I've never had to deal with botrytis. I've witness more than I can count. Seems like every year I know someone with a destroyed crop
I'm an indoor guy too though.

#1 Luckly my wife does not minf helping out if not i woul not have time due to indoor/outdoor/r&d/fulltime job/animals. Fully understand.

#2 i have like 5 grows worth of larf and triming . but have not took the time to figure out how to properly extract any input please?

#3 i hand water outdoor as needed aswell. Some days the cheesequake took 35 gallons some days nothing at all for days . i am thinking it will prevent mold . temp/wind/ phases of growth plays a major role in watering needs especialy out door where it is not controled like indoor.

Thank for answering my questions .

Wish I could answer your question besides telling you to find a good extract artist.
Someone who has well running butane extraction equipment can reap a 25% return on weight. Then they usually like to take up to 50% of that weight for themselves.
So realistically, you only get about 12.5%-20% depending on what cut you get from the finished product.
The dudes I drop my stuff with were building terpinators before anyone knew what closed loop extraction was, before hash oil was on the shelf anywhere.
I can't group myself near there level of knowledge when it comes to butane extraction.
I've found it to be a better yield than bubble hash even after the extractor takes his cut.

I was hoping you has the super duper way of doing it at home lol. I have read a little in to it but to do it right just seems a little costly/waist of money time on my scale of gardining. I would give 50% of the take any day cant even find some one to do that for me lol . have not looked that hard ether . thank you agian for the reply sorry about hijacking your thread a bit .
