that kid is a little Fascist! I hope he enjoys the foster home... fucking idiot

I think that in the end he gets what he deserves, LOL. It will probably be a group home and no picnic, especially for a snitch! Too bad his parents have to get burned as well.

i know what the little shit did would be called '"snitching" in our world, but he's a 15 year old kid who most likely got pissed off because he got told no about some stupid bullshit that means nothing. cell phone, x box, you have to finish your home work first, whatever

he called it like a 15 year old would (read: fucking stupid) and now he is going to pay for it

i don't have any sympathy for him but i doubt he is going to be the snitch type after this is over ......... some people have to learn the hard way. it just sucks that everybody else got dragged into it, and i hope his older sibling beats the shit out of him for it

I'm a parent and believe me this thread is full of great advice.I'm straight out with my kids, as far as they can understand anyway.I realize the developing mind does not see what Chaco sees!!!:thank you:

And, throw in the fact that, if convicted as felons, they will lose the right to do so forever.

not true, a lot of states give voting rights back to felons after they complete their sentences...

Back then it was normal to take your kid to the hemp fields.Kids grew up with hemp and learned the plant was beneficial for society.Today society learn kids thanks to the DARE program it is an evil weed, so is it the boy or society to blame.

Keep on growing :)

Think about how hurtful it must be to have your own kid rat you out.
Not sure I'd get over that one.
As if I needed another reason for no kids.
I'll stick with dogs.

I disagree with alot of the advice on this thread. I got a two year old little girl, and the closest she has come to marijuana is on my breath or behind a locked door. I will never smoke in front of her, my wife and i wait till she is asleep to break out the bong. But I also don't drink, and in general think that setting a drug and alcohol free example is better for her in the long run.

my grow is full stealth behind locked door. only way for her to get knowledge of it is going to be to steal my keys one day when she gets older. Way I look at it I got at least four or five years to keep living in a safe manner. As she gets older I may need to re-evaluate. Thats "daddy's room" may work for the mind of a five year old, but once she gets to be ten or eleven I may need to move things off-site. we see

either way that fucking sucks for the parents

I wouldn't portray a completely drug/alcohol free example for her unless you are truly 100% free of those things, otherwise it may seem hypocritical and your example may have little to no affect because of that. At least that's how I felt as a child with a lot of the lessons my parents tried to teach me, only to turn around and do that exact thing themselves. Seemed hypocritical and I never took their advice because of that on most matters, I still don't to this day.

George Orwell was ahead of his time, but by 2012 we actually have children denouncing there parents to the fucking thought police.

That's nothing really new, people lived in fear of their kids in Nazi Germany, and in Pol Pots Cambodia.

Problem is we are all hypocrites.....

I would much rather my daughter see her dad as a man who spends time working out and doing triathlons rather than the stereotype of the pot smoker. if she finds out later on in life that her dad was smoking pot, so be it. The grow is a separate issue that ain't gonna be in her knowledge base until she out of the house and on her own. And even then maybe not.

She gonna have to figure some things out on her own anyway, but I am not going to further her ability to look at drug and alcohol use as a positive thing. I had Cheech and Chong to do that for me, heck one day maybe she will laugh at the same shit I did. Her favorite song currently is Morning Dew.

Having a basement full of weed in a house full of teenagers is not only irresponsible, it's fucking idiotic. The best case scenario is a little passive encouragement of crop ripping.

Net results of this situation:
-Parents get probation and a fine.
-Parents spend kids'(all 5) college fund on legal fees and fines.
-Snitch kid lives with relatives for a while
-Family Thanksgiving dinners are extremely awkward for quite some time.
-The War on Drugs wins yet another epic victory.

This is a central tenet of the book and concept of "1984." Children are encouraged to rat on their parents for any 'unacceptable' behaviour.

Terrific.

Growing with children is really a mess..how long you can keep always that door closed, and for how long you can run to hide pots from the garden..

Maybe Ill start telling them that not all the rules are to be respected..

Gosh gotta grow what i need for the next 20 years before they turn 10..

I grow with my two kids in the house, however the time is quickly coming that I will have to dismantle as my oldest boy is 2 years old now and starting to get curious.

I know my boys would never nark on their Dad but I dont doubt that it would be something cool to brag to their mates about.

Im sure that once they're old enough to understand the concequences of Dad getting raided then I will set up again (maybe when the youngest is 13 or so).

Also I want my boys to have an open mind when it comes to pot. I'm going to explain to them the rights and wrongs of pot, Im going to avoid the schools putting my boys through Dare and the like, however I wont let my boys know I smoke pot, or grow it. I want them to grow up with an unbiased view of it, and if they choose to smoke it, so be it, if not then so be it.

Oh yeah, Teens and growing is a bad Combo.... No Doubt, at some point the mouth starts leaking.

Leading a "Double Life," can create its' own problems, as well.

It's a tough question. My parents simply quit for a few years, until they went back to smoking, and I caught Pops leaving a reek in the basement. That was a cool day...!
He had to allow me, at least according to the Psychologist that was needed to straighten the whole thing out.. haha

One thing worth noting is that Kids "ratting" can be simply a Child Telling someone about "Daddy's Secret Room." Also, occasionally, other Adults (Zealous Teachers, etc.) will encourage the Youth to divulge details..

Child services can and possibly will take your kids should something go wrong. All of that shit needs to be done out of their presence. The old days where the kids carried the bong from the end person on the couch to the people on the loveseat are long gone. And growing with kids in the house is not very smart. I always went with my friends code to leave the house to smoke. And a grow should not be in the home. If you are not slick enough to figure out how to do it and not risk your kids and stuff, then you likely do not need to be growing. People with kids maybe should not be growing in the first place. I know... it sucks...but someone has to say it! That thing between your ears is not a hat rack...
