A fine "scientific" study but the fact is that I can't fully void my bladder sitting down.

I started sitting when my enlarged prostate had me dribbling sideways on my foot but still have to stand up and practice relaxation exercises to finish.
Have you ever tried Tamsulosin? When I had kidney surgery the surgeon gave me some, I take it every once in a while and works like magic for me.

The world according to GROK:

Tamsulosin, commonly known by the brand name Flomax, is used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Here are some common side effects associated with tamsulosin:

Common Side Effects:
Dizziness: This is often due to a drop in blood pressure upon standing (orthostatic hypotension), particularly after the first dose or after a dose change.

Headache: A frequent side effect, which might improve as your body adjusts to the medication.

Rhinitis (Runny or Stuffy Nose): Due to the drug's effect on alpha-1 receptors elsewhere in the body.

Ejaculation Issues: Including abnormal ejaculation, such as reduced semen volume, retrograde ejaculation (semen entering the bladder), or ejaculation failure. These are usually harmless but might be bothersome.

Drowsiness or Lightheadedness: This can affect your ability to drive or operate machinery, especially when you first start taking tamsulosin.

Less Common but Serious Side Effects:
Priapism: A prolonged, painful erection that requires immediate medical attention to prevent permanent damage.

Allergic Reactions: Symptoms can include rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, and difficulty breathing.

Chest Pain: If you have heart-related issues, tamsulosin might exacerbate symptoms or cause new ones.

Low Blood Pressure: Can lead to dizziness or fainting, particularly when changing positions.

Additional Considerations:
Interactions: Tamsulosin can interact with other medications, potentially increasing the risk of side effects or reducing effectiveness. Notable interactions include PDE-5 inhibitors for erectile dysfunction, which can further lower blood pressure, and certain antibiotics or antifungals that might increase tamsulosin levels in the blood.

Surgery: If you're scheduled for cataract or glaucoma surgery, inform your eye surgeon about your use of tamsulosin because it can cause intraoperative floppy iris syndrome, complicating the procedure.

Remember, while many people experience these side effects, not everyone will. If side effects are severe or persistent, consult your healthcare provider. It's also important to take tamsulosin exactly as prescribed, typically 30 minutes after the same meal each day to help with consistent absorption and to reduce side effects.

Hello Sub, yes, great way to use up leftovers and can be tweaked to individual likes.
I like to make turkey pot pie after Thanksgiving. Should have plenty leftovers as there is only three of us this year but the kids are coming Tuesday for a brisket and fixen’s so we will have a house full then. Kids have so many parents and in-laws to visit I feel sorry for them and don’t expect them to come here like many of them do dragging the whole family around 4 places to eat.

good day to you old man

may I should start a Thread on this topic

I am hoping one of the members here may possibly point me in the right direction , a Thread that may already have the info I am seeking

my goal is to find the best genetics for growing outdoor cannabis in the Pacific Northwest

some strains are more resistant to powdery mildew than others

same with bud rot

I am guessing my best plan will be to set up a greenhouse grow with plenty of fans and a dehumidifier or two with supplemental lighting

but I do not like the costs involved in such a setup

I would rather grow outdoors and take my chances with the rain and
PM…

now if I could only find a list of the best strains to grow outdoors in the PNE…
Have not grown out in ages but when I did, as I mentioned to you before we came up with our own crosses.
This is my point, in all the years of growing out(decades) I remember 1 year where mold was a problem. We had an extreme amount of rain. I stepped in one of my beds by mistake and actually sank in the water soaked soil. Do you have contacts in the coastal area of the PNW, local strains here should have good resistance to mold and mildew. With all the seed companies available today, you would think there are strains suitable to almost any environment. There was a lot of good smoke that came out of the islands off the coast and the inland coast of BC. They would have to be suitable to damp conditions.

Hope your not feeling worse than what you were big.

I take Tamsulosin and Finasteride as well. Been on it for years.....without them all I do is dribble every 15 minutes. They have saved me from surgery and made is so I can empty my bladder and do it quickly without dribble.....

I have a prescription for both tamsulosin and finasteride. I have no idea why I stopped taking them, but I haven’t in months and I might get up to pee once a night… Every once in a while, I’ll wake up only to find Ivan‘s face a foot away from mine staring at me… He won’t wake me up, but he will sit there until I see him. He’s very good at letting me know what he wants.

Yes, I tried it after my last kidney stone surgery, and it didn't make a noticeable difference
Hey GW, those must have been some bad ass kidney stones. My grandma died from kidney failure, I remember her having the stones shattered so they would pass easier. I had a pee and located 2 stones that had passed. Lord, that was painful.

Did you have numerous stones or were they large?

Hope all is well
