Thank you so much for your feedback @Tranquilidade :smoke: Seems my efforts 10 years ago to re work Kali China and bring her back in its current form were not worthless, and KC is becoming a favorite smoke for many growers who give this line a chance.

Most important traits in KC (beside fast flowering and ease of cultivation) are complexity of terps and quality-type of effect.
If you are looking for a KC hybrid which retains these qualities, but it's one step higher in quality and sativa influence then Thai Chi and Haze x Kali China are the right choices.

And if you want to make a wide and deep selection from straight Kali China line, then you will have some serious fun exploring the different Kali China lines from the Breeders Pack, elite F3xF4 line is the one to look for if you want more sativa expressions.

This one has no hash or spices in the steamrub smell. It´s tropical fruit, parfume. The leaf color is light green. Probably this displays the poor soil too. Next time I´ll pick up some horn shavements. Kali China seems to have a little bit more stress with heat and dryness than for example Bubba Kush x PCK thriving only 20m away.

Since i topped my Kali China she have been putting all her energy into the two lower branches, i have tied them down a bit to level out the canopy so the new shoots on the mainstem can take off.

Looks like she's gonna turn into a nice bush!

After curing for more than two months (purple pheno with creamy, incense, floral, and mang notes), I have noticed that she is quite a hitter. Huge difference between smoking a raw KC joint and vaping it. The green meaty pheno packs almost the same punch, but it is less fragrant. Also, after you smoke it, the room fills with a classic old-school incense church smell that is so nostalgic for me.

Hi Tranquilidade, can you expand on this specific point please?

Thanks.

I only consume cannabis with a portable vape (it helps me regulate the temperature and strength of effects), so I've been vaping Kali China for two months, and it was a very balanced smoke. Last Friday, I rolled a raw KC joint, smoked 1/4 of it, and it hit like a train :) My friend also sit down :) But it was still pleasurable, just with a stronger initial kick. This is expected because of the longer cure and smoking it raw instead of vaping.

This plant produces less biomass than for example Bubba Kush x PCK under +/- the same conditions. But it seems like she has adapted to soil and location. The rounder shape (catalog discription) is appearing step by step, branches are getting longer. At the same time the internodal distances are getting shorter and the start of flowering seems not to be far away.

Meanwhile I have to water every two days five litres. One time every week she receives liquid organic fertilizer (NPK 3-2-6). This way Kali China takes the heat and drought lasting since many weeks well. But soon she will have to stand 2,5 weeks without watering and the heat is predicted to go on without significant rainfalls. This kind of meteorological situation has never happend to me before. I am thinking about pruning the main shot and to water as much as I can the days before I go. What would you do to prepare your absence?

During my absence the flowering has begun. First resin is visible. The smell is almost not noticable?! Two thunder showers with all in all 60l water / m² have helped alot to make KC happy. Some yellow fan leaves bearable. As a welcome back gift she received horn shavings and Kali-Magnesia a few days ago. I am looking forward to a harvest in first or second week of October.

She is for sure faster ripening than Bubba Kush x PCK. Perhaps one week or ten days to go (already on the finishing straight). Smells are of low to medium intensity if you put your nose nearby the flowers and rub them gentely. There is some fruityness and creaminess to it. The main bud gains weight. The buds are showing in general good to very good amounts of resin and are bit harder than I`ve expected. The weather is mild and not rainy at the moment. Daytime temps around 19°C, nighttime temps around 7°C. Let´s have look if she resists mold in late flowering. Some rainy days are predicted next weekend.

Looking great @paisajedehierba :) glad you are having a great guerrilla season, looking at your pics make me feel somewhat nostalgic.
Really nice cola on your Kali China (y) She reminds me the F3 more sativa mother in the leaf shape, lighter green color and flower distribution, and a bit the 'brown' F4 side now with the final reflowering. The rounder shaped Kali China structure is much more evident with abundant waterings during growth, guerilla plants grown with less water available tend to always be more columnar, stretchy and less prolific in bio mass. All the best for the upcoming last weeks of flowering, hopefully as sunny and dry as possible!

Happy to hear @Tranquilidade that your Kali China has the potency and that old church incense smell some of us we love so much!
It's another trait i wanted to be sure that was not missing with this strain. Since i was kid i always wanted a 8 week flowering indica shaped with high quality (more sativa, non intoxicating, non numbing effects that was also consistent (almost true breeding) for the loud incense trait, and Kali China captures all this.

Nice Caranx ! Is yours already into flowering ?

Thank you so much @StrongTree 🥰 means a lot coming from such an experienced ACE grower like you. Excited to see what you find from it. Hope you are doing well friend.

PD for everyone: Kali China Breeders Pack (and all the other BPs) will be only available until end of this year.

This Kali China girl has gained density and weight. Neither a bud wonder nore a disappointment. After a few rainy and windy days in a row during this week I´ve found one bud tip showing mold. I`ve taken the whole branch as an early sample. Kali China hopefully resists mold the upcoming rainy weekend. For the whole next week "Golden October" (some early morning fog, later much sunshine, mild daytime temperatures around 19°C and nighttime temps around 5°C) is predicted. Much better conditions to mature healthy. The smells have developed in sweet-and-sour direction. The creaminess is stable. All in all the intensity has increased slightly.

a few days more to go ... warm and dry weather ahead. I am impressed how dense these buds can get. Nevertheless ... 60l precipitation since 2022-09-30. No extra bud rot.
