Here is the three month post harvest followup on my Kali Chinas:
Previously I said the taste and smell were low; it's come back stronger and better with curing. It's now a nice lemon incense with also some liver or onion? It's a pleasure to vape, certainly the best tasting of all the bud I have right now. The high of both the tall and short phenos have mellowed - I don't get big bursts of sunshine energy from the tall pheno like I did at first. The tall pheno is still my favorite, more euphoric and energetic. The short pheno is a bit more sleepy/dreamy.
Overall, it's an easy to grow, fast and well balanced hybrid with great flavor. I still greatly prefer the taller pheno to the shorter one. I was hoping that Ace Seeds offerings would provide a better alternative to the commercial US hybrids that are usually available in my area, and so far this is true for me. The commonly available US strains tend to make me feel anxious and depressed, or have a muddy and confusing high. I always had to combine them with CBD to tolerate the effects. I don't have to do that with Kali China, the high is more kind, fun, and interesting.
I am putting a couple of Orient Express into flower right now and I am curious to see how a different China Yunnan cross comes out.
