then why the need for 100 nat guard troops??? - these people aren't terrorists .... there r here for a better life, and we herd em together and bring em to a army base... shit they could have stayed in venezuela and been treated better

The military was not involved in removing the immigrants from the island. It was a plan put in place by Massachusetts’ Republican Gov. Charlie Baker.

the people 'escorting' the immigrants to the army base had u.s. army uniforms on.... so they were not the military?? who were they?? -

the governor of each state is the 'head-honcho' of the nat guard... who gives a shit whether he is a rep or a dem.

and they went along 'voluntarily' ?? .... which means they can leave anytime they wish???

their accommodations look pretty good.... where can i sign up for free room/board/food/etc

as i said who gives a shit whether the gov is a rep or a dem..... do u think that the local's... by locals, i mean the bill gates, the obama's/etc of the world were not on the phone complaining to the gov, or maybe liz (aka pocahontas) or 'big-ed'.... having immigrants wandering around the vineyard...ohhh my god....

This whole thing looks like a military operation from the start. Are they still being held at the military base?
What does "voluntarily" mean (in this case)?
What does it mean to "surrender?"
Are all of the people entering the US illegally peaceful?
Why was this one group treated differently (under military control)?

no housing for them there. but that doesn't fit your need to spew misinformation, does it? resort areas are not set up (nor able) to house indigent immigrants regardless of what you think about the situation. carry on...

resort areas are not set up, nor able to house these people.. go on to airb&b - at the moment there are 88 houses for rent... some have '9' bedrooms.... so find 5-6-7 houses , and they are all housed, instead of bringin them to an army base with a 100 troops... they were prob scared shit-less- prob reminds them of Venezuela where they are trying to get away from....

its the end of sept... the season is over....as said above , there are plenty of empty houses....

plenty of empty houses everywhere. not aware of immigrant/asylum seekers EVER being housed in private rentals, plus the folks owning them have a say. military bases have excess barracks space & the capability to feed them with a lot less trouble. if they are "scared shitless" (don't know why they would be) there is nothing stopping them from asking to go home. somehow, i don't think that is what is happening...:biglaugh:

there are 50 immigrants , and 100 army guys are taking them to an army base... so u r saying that they can say fuck you we aint going??? - i'm not there, so maybe u are rite....

in new york city , some immigrants are being housed in hotels-- which i think are private - and sure private home owners have a say, but were they asked up in the vineland, or would that have slowed down the process of the rich getting rid of em asap???

Martha's Vineyard is NOT where the rich up there live. median income of residents is in mid $70s. try again if you feel up to it... asylum seekers have no say in where they are housed/where they are going until they are admitted to the country . there aint a hell of a lot that you understand, is there?

ohh yeah its for the poor.... daily rates are 300, 500, 800 1000bucks a nite... yep its a poor enclave
that's for rental houses owned (most likely) by non-residents. bet the army base has a lower rate... there IS an island or two in the area that is much more affluent. maybe that is where DeSantis meant to send them? no commercial airports there though. did you see where DeSantis is being sued for illegally using Floridians tax dollars to fly them up the coast? too rich by far...

no, they have requested asylum, NOT been admitted. no determination yet, maybe not for months. hope they all like cold weather. do they get much of that in Venezuela? it's OBVIOUS what all you don't understand...

Dude you've obviously never been to the Vineyard or any of the other surrounding islands like Nantucket.
Lots of people struggling on both islands.
That said. The Democrat virtue signalers on the Vineyard get what they deserve. I say send 1000 a day and let them choke on it but dont paint the entire population with a broad brush.
