Jack's Jack

Guest

high there ic :rasta:
i'm bored so figured i'd post my reverted Jack clone mutha
good ole' jack..
(beans) gifted by friends in Oregon years back, circa '99, i believe...
I'll find out for sure; if anyone wants to know?

~
lemme outline, for ya's, her time spent with me so far..
~

sand-rooted flowering stem cutting--

enter sandman

a month or so later, 100% untrained, still reverting--

a month after that, very conservative pinch job, 2 branches, fairly high up--

the now lateral branching is reaching a couple daze after the kinky bondage session--

and just thought this was a nice shot, does her the justice she deserves--

a clone-shitting monsta

Thanks for looking, feel free to post up yours jacks here too! :bongsmi:
be well

very interesting, cap.

a couple of questions, if you don't mind...

>this is jack herrer? or jack's cleaner? or something else??

>you rooted the clone off of your mother plant, flowered the mom out, and re-vegged this one?

>how long to show roots in the sand?

>2 months+ to revert to veg, then flower out...this must be one hell of a cut!

thanks man.

by the way, i enjoyed your full gallery earlier!! hehe

thank you for the kind replies fellas..real pics soon--have cuts rooting right now..

forgot to mention the last few pics are after cuttings were taken, was bushier than shown, took maybe 8 nice lil' limbs off 'er

also, the large pic on the bottom is an untrained part of the plant, thats pure genetics, no help from me, m.steelers :-D
my handywork has yet to affect anything really, soon i'll have all the cuts i took replaced and many more from just the two points of crushing

to the best of my knowledge it's the original release herer. too old to be any of the others
don't know for sure what year but i'll ask my bro i got the cut from[/quote]

not exactly,
a buddy has been growing it every summer in the greenhouse since '99
this year he had 2 distinct phenos running, both were roughly 3 weeks into true fruiting...
anyway, as the story goes, (and this is a going to be a bit long winded, so bear wit me LOL)
i came by to do some transplants with em and took with me a cut of the beastly branchy nl lookin woman, the other he had was a straight-shooter, little side branching, wider leaf and darker green, waxyier leaf as well astringent-like lemony cleaner funk, i know its not jacks cleaner though, again, it's too old (i would think :chin:) but i didn't take that one with me b/c it had visible mites and i didn't want to take any chances, so i took the one from the other side of the gh that was not infested to the eye and gave it a quick 70% isopropyl alchohol misting and stuck it in a cut flower reservoir such as the ones you get at the florist or depot even when you buy flowerz (see below), to bring back with me
check it out, they are amazing lil things for use in our beloved hobby.. the possibilities are endless ;)
florist tubes--

5538tube1-thumb.JPG

and i have had it in 24/0 light since i've had it..mostly flourescents, though she does get a bit of indirect hps too these days (she's in a shadier spot in my mom area than the others so hasnt reached FULL potential, also restricted in that 5" perennial pot but i have no choice (or reason) to keep anything but 'bonzai' moms right now)

i didnt flower the mom out because it wasnt mine, just got a clone off it.

plz excuse my ramblings sleepy, sorry for deviating back there

>how long to show roots in the sand?
<14 daze, closer to 10 or 12 if memory serves me right, been a while.. sand is almost exactly like oasis or rockwool in that you bottom feed it and it wicks up the h2o (perfectly even and fast absorbtion mind u) so use rw or oasis rooting times for comparison (inert mediums)
the iso may have delayed things a bit but likely not, only thing it did was dry out the one leaf u see there, also i have a constant rH of below 30% in this spot (at best) so... i get brittle leaves always on everything pretty much

anyway...

im not that great a grower, you can tell by the over ferted/underwatered and too low a rH leaf damage but thanks so much for the compliments, it's a great inspiration, the jack has recovered some from my stoner error in feeding it a HUGE dose of cloning solution hahaha what can i say? :rasta: i was havin a hankerin for experimentation.. don't forget, i have NO FULL FLOWERING PLANTS at the moment, it gets really boring..
this jack cut puts out cuttings like it's nobody's buisness, i end up throwing healthy cuts away all the time, what a shame
thanks again for swingin through ms.G!!!

the first round of punishment was abouts where the dude's thumb is in tha pic :rasta: hehe

todays training was done more near the base on the same arm, the old break-point now has a nice knuckle forming, lady-jack really likes being played with :whip:

while your here i may as well state that this plant may be used in breeding for my own personal purposes, in a back cross. (if any of my friends are wondering)

(Kona Gold x Jack) x this Jack female

should be a guerilla gardener's dream when it's done.
Thats my goal with it as i have been dying to go back to my guerilla roots
but lack the proper genetics for my situation..
Kona (and the konajack cross i previously ran) have magnificent drought resistance and had to be killed manually, they just wouldn't die on their own when put to the test..
also, the kona offers it's disease and pest resistance, but a long flower time, hence the backcross..
just want to check out some of my friends indoor jack seedlings first, maybe watch his runs with them and compare the results to this baby to see which is the candidate for the job.

a fatter leafed jack with farrrrr less branching was used for this one..

re-cloning

re-cloning

taking new cuttings

caught water mold that crept to the plants and im not dealing with it, will be easier to re-cut and root rather than try to save these. i have plenty on this mom anyway so...

Wish me luck, theyre going into plain water, dark cups
fuck the multi site bubblers, i just have no luck with them, gotta go back to what works....dig? nah outta sand...:biglaugh: corny..whatever...

1 jack looks ok, stunted root starts . after a brief h2o2 treatment it'll end up in a dixie cup with LIQUID KARMA drenched promix ... we'll see what transpires with that.. i'm not holding my breath.
