pohm, might i suggest a more effective way of filling space under that bulb?

if you have a mom take 20 clone's off of her. veg a week or two depending on their size. put them in 1 liter container's and switch the light. very effiecient sized harvest every 8 week's. a good 1 liter container is a 2 liter bottle cut in half. you would probably 5 to 7 grams a clone. 5 x 20 is 100 gram's. if you had more clone's vegging while those were in there last week of flowering you could have them ready to go in as soon as they were done saving precious time. talk about speed growing.

Hi there, you will have to excuse my terminology for things, I am a junk yard builder.. It is made from a piece of white aluminum, the bends were made by putting a block of wood where I wanted the bend and slowly folding it up.

Then drillled holes for the screws and for my chain to hang it with.

Different view before it was hung.

Your so thrifty sweet-heart. I love a woman who knows her way around the junk-yard. Hubba-hubba.

Ya ur plants are looking alittle like mine. That reflector is really awsome! Do u plan on making an exhaust fan pulling outof it? Just wondering. And from what it looks is u have some very nice sativa dominant plants :) I wish u the best of luck.

Hey Seed

Delta, how ya been? I was planning on attaching my exhause that is on the upper right onto the relector and I still may at some point. Right now the temps are good and all seems to be working so I'll stop here for now and let the sweet things grow.

Here are some closer shots, I have 4 plants and one of them doesn't look anything like the other three. It is much shorter, but yet has the most dense buds of all the them and has started to get frosty, pic below.

They have some pretty large colas and will be in flower for at least 3 more weeks, maybe longer.

Thanks Red and Maj., your positive comments mean so much to me because both or you have been mentors to my grow.

This is turning out to be a fun one, I like the way they look.

Bagseed is like a box of chocolates............. heehee

Cool pomh!

Oh, just wait until I start to grow again. I need lot's of help in the nutes department. I can make them grow pretty but too chemmy.

You mean they taste like chemicals when they are smoked? hhhmmm :chin:

Well I'll tell ya what I'm doing. One of those bagseed plants are in organic mix very similar to yours, I have grown in that before.

The other 2 are in MG.

They were treated exactly the same otherwise, I didnt even pinch them to make them bushy like I usually do, I just let them grow. I gave them the same teas at the same times.

We'll see the results when I'm done and taste them.

I've been using Shultz 12-15-12 plant food, bone meal, blood meal and epsom salts. I can grow deficiency free by watching the pH and treating with epsom salts or flushing the soil out. My last grow the bigger buds were fabulous but the smaller ones that didn't get as much light retained some chems. I don't know if it is N buildup or just not enough flush time for the plants to clear.

Anyway, it's time for me to look at better nutes. I know you're into organics and teas and such. I'd like to get some quality hydro organic nutes and go that way. I really don't want to get into all the technical crap that goes along with hydro.

how long do you usually flush? 2 week's has alway's been sufficient enough for me. if you want the bottom bud's to gain some weight just chop the main cola's and leave the rest of them for another week.

I don't like technical, doesn't work in my brain hehehehe, and I refuse to buy a ph meter!!!!! Just not gonna do it!

The teas I make are Alaskan Fishy Ferts and you can get that at a garden center, inexpensive and easy to find. I use that for my seedlings when they need N.
My other teas are from bat guano, a friend gave that to me so I dont know how easy that is to find. I make a tea with that and plain old powered potash. I give them that in bloom maybe 2 times and thats it.

I never fert for 2 to 3 weeks before chop and flush them good with water at that last watering before chop.

You know KISS!!!!!

I found fishy ferts, a Muskie brand 5-1-1 and some powdered dolomite lime. This stuff is seasonal at least in the great white north. I've never seen bat poo in the garden centers but I've never tried the greenhouses. I like the idea more and more of straight organics all the time. The blood and bone meal offset the adding of nutes nearly until flowering. I think I've been too impatient for the flush and have chopped with full healthy green foliage after about 10 days.

Have you ever seen Bud Buddah's grows from OG? He ran alternating Peters general purpose and fish ferts with no pH probs or deficiencies, very KISS. I picked up a few tricks from him.

Here's a good question. What's the matter with using cow or sheep manure? It's readily available. My dad used it all the time in his garden. What's the big deal with the bat guano?

Good question Red and I have no idea what the answer is. Seems to be popular among growers though doesn't it? Someone will know I'm sure.

I'm curious to see if there is any difference in taste between my organic/MG test. To start out, the MG grew faster and flowered sooner, but now they have caught up and look pretty much the same.

This one is getting top heavy......oh...no...Mr. Bill.......

Had to prop it up. These are filling out nicely.

Mr. Nevermind

There is no difference in taste of herb grown using MG compared to organic nutes. I have done a test as well as a friend on the same strain gorwin using MG and organics and did taste tests. No differnce at all. As with any fert as long as you stop feeding 2 weeks prior to harvest and fluch there isnt anything left to alter the taste. You just have to watch how you feed with MG since it is strong and can burn plants.
