bump....

i need ISS beans.... sold out on seed boutique... I'm not sure what other sources i can trust.
Hit me up on PM if you know anything.

PS: You are right on about 'too much N is worse than too little N'. She really hates food. I have found that she gets zero N after the 3rd week, and very light N before then.

Just to clarify things after 61 posts and 4 years later!!! LOL

Sweetskunk the original clone from Spice Of Life Seeds has NO SKUNK Genetics.
It is a cross of the female clone SweetPinkGrapefruit and a male from Sensi, now believed to be a NorthernLights/Haze.
I was originally thought to be fathered by a BIGSKUNK, but it was NOT.
Steve grew out over a 1000 seeds to find two outstanding females.
The sweetskunk clone is Haze(y).
The one used in the ISS is also used in SweetBlue, and Sweetskunk S1.

Sweetblue is the best Sweetskunk cross I have smoked! Dank!!!

Also to clarify the ISS is Whitewidow male crossed to Sweetskunk clone.
So expect lots of variation as both parents are hybrids.

i havent tried the seed version of Island Sweet Skunk but the clone is awesome.
A little long in the flowering department but shes worth it.
Average to above average yield but the taste, potency and high is out of this world.
She didnt get that name for nothing.
Highly recommended.
I had the clone last year but lost it due to a hectic periods and some brake ins at my property but a fellow grower has promised to send me some new cuts which im looking forward to.
Cant wait to run her again
Might in the feature make some femmed seeds of her and maybe cross her to a suiting male like Blueberry or Bubblegum.
She is very good smoke and breeding material

I have been working hard to dial this plant in and coax it into a higher yield.
The cut I have came from some very good sources who have been at it for awhile and dont pass along bullshit. (not naming them, ever)
It could have come from some great seeds from ISS, or it could have been the original sweet skunk clone.
Judging by the yield, and cola structure, it is unlike all of the ISS plant I have seen that can be considered high yield. I can't get a cola that is contiguous (as in you can see stem) that spans more than 3 nodes. The buds are almost like equilateral triangles, with very flimsy stems. A multi top plant turns into a floppy beast that has branches that will literally touch the floor below a 3gal pot.
I figured out the nitrogen thing, she hates N, alot. In veg if you give her even mild excess N the nodes stretch out 6 inches. The best plants do not enter veg with dark green leaves, and by day 45 their stems start to dark on an even purple hue.
Some pics.... I will get some ones that do her better justice later...

Granted, I veg under T5's (an 8 bulb one, and i can get some nice plants that fill out a 1gal container well under it) so that might be a factor... but when I examine the root structure after harvest, and when I repot, the roots are surprisingly small... you could have a big plant, 3ft, in a 1gal pot, that is not root bound.
Which might explain the nutrient sensitivity, and ability to handle intense light.

Despite how much of a pain in the ass my Sweet skunk is..... the final product is second to none. I will put her up against anything I have ever seen, and even the most indica crazed kush obsessed freaks can see bag appeal... and then they smoke it and get their asses kicked. Gram for gram, she is unmatched in potency. The buds retain little moisture, so 1 gram of a seemingly dense bud occupies a large volume... which means as a customer you are getting alot more trichromes per gram of plant matter.
The plant matter is simply a resin support structure, that weighs nothing because the stems are tooth picks, so thin yet they yield massive calyx stacks.

"above average yield" could not describe the sweet skunk I have, I dont get those foot long colas I see in other people pics, which pisses me off because this is the most dank bud i've ever grown. And the smell really resembles grapefruit when done properly... it is "skunky" but holy shit when it is trimmed it smells like I am juicing grape fruits. Over powered carbon filter is a must.

some pics...
This one is maybe 40 days, and the resin is just shiny....

and a group shot of the largest buds I can get her to make

There is probably a way to coax her to yield more... but more than a pound per 1k might require some creative vegging.

Good looking plant you have there Pinappaloupe. Looks like a nice cutting to have.
It looks similar to the original Sweetskunk clone, but may be the widow cross.

Maybe GS will stop by and take a look, he knows the original well!

I'm growing one of these out now. It probably could have been grown better - I had some mites, but very little mite damage + I don't think that I gave it enough P + the plant is too big to be crammed in a small cab (2.5'x2' cab) with other plants. But enough of the excuses.

My plant looks like pinneappaoloupe's and matches his description with the exception of floppy branches. It doesn't look like a huge yielder, but as indicated it could of been grown better.
