TEC, how? Heat of some nature I gather. Looks farkin' neat.

Heat plate - silicon mat - material?

Was it 70u from different washes or batches?

Bingo. Thanks man. Second and third washes of 73u were mixed in from two batches of multiple plants. Lot of variables. Gives me a few things to think on.

Thanks Mikell, I'll try and relate how it happened... I processed the hash in my usual way, chopped it up as small as possible with a knife (no microplane or sieve thankyouverymuch) then a week or so drying in the fridge, after that a week or two in a cool-ish room and then wrapped in a little parchment pouch and into a jar for curing in the pantry.

After a month or so I opened up the packages and saw that rather than stay in it's usual granular form, the hash had 'blobbed' together into a lovely shiny turd-like thing (if you look at the pic of the 2nd wash you can see what i mean but to a lesser extent, you can still make out some of the texture of the chopped hash, but it's all a bit melted together under it's own weight, so to speak) anyway, then I just hand-pressed it out in parchment on top of the woodstove after the fire had gone out (not hot at all, maybe 40ºc absolute tops) to make it look like that (the snakeskin-like texture is due to the brand of parchment btw).

Hope that explains it mate :)

ps I'm definitely going to try making one of those polished temple balls soon, you've inspired me, thanks.

What kind of humidity/temperature? In the house or outside if similar. What's the seasonal change like? Evelation? New strains?

I love a good mystery. Real ones, not pulp paperback.

That shine is transitory. I'll try to repolish after the cure but otherwise I have a few ideas to preserve it. Oxidized or the like.

Waiting on material with ants in my pants and using a significant part of my brain to think of every ball pun I can.

Some 74 micron filter water extraction, small batch strained through a funnel ala noreason:

Zamaldelica, Zamal pheno, about 4 grams yield from 36 grams of well aged buds.

My first extract, I had no idea I could produce this product in house.

Sublime, my wife loves it. lol

Why do some folks press their hashish anyway, I wonder.

A chunk of the same sherbet bubble hash after a good press. I have split it open to show how greasy it is.

Polishing a turd

Polishing a turd

Pressing some good shit into a temple ball. Full spectrum multi-strain bubble hash and trim bin dry sift mix. Couldn't resist the toilet humour, sorry. Peace, TEC.

^can you tell me how to polish like that? I have learned how to make great hash, but never learned how to polish it to make it look so nice.

Thanks for the rep and kind words. I have to agree with you, you certainly do make some awesome looking hash, that sherbet looks incredible.

The polishing thing is really quick and easy. I just all the pressing and folding and forming inside a Slick-mat type of silcone sheet, always comes out super-shiny. I use one that's maybe 10" x 6". I found that making it lump-free and nicely spherical was the hardest part. I have since turned that temple ball into rosin and mixed it with some full-melt bubble to create a kind of solventless jelly hash. Really tasty and very very strong indeed.

The rosin balls, the big one is the 1st press, the other is the 2nd (i've kept the 2nd press apart for now, it's a bit darker but still very tasty):

starting the solventless jelly hash. That's the mat I use for all my resin manipulation:

After I rolled it up I just worked it for ages, folding, flattening and rolling using a little heat until it looked pretty homogenous. It's a kind of dark see-through amber and texture is pull & snap but very brittle slightly below room temp. I'll try and get some photos of the finished product up later but no promises. Peace, TEC.

Edit: Not the first time i've made this solventless jelly, it works better with some strains than others, in the worst cases it can look like nasty green snot but it is consistently very potent though. I made some with zen seeds Tropical Snow and it was the strongest stuff I've ever made, really knockout stuff, literally made more than one person pass out.

you mix rosin, and bubble hash and fold and press until it looks like that? Or do you fold and press bubble hash over and over and the oils release and then it looks like that? Can I do it with bubble hash alone?

Stainless steel pot lids work well. Used sort of like cymbals but with the same motion you use when you do the initial hand polish to form the skin. They need to be fairly flat to grip the ball between.

A deep stainless bowl works if you can keep it from flying out.

I've only made them Frenchy style though, they're quite soft and settle/dull as they cure.

Candy makers may have the trick en masse.

Made this one from a friends trim a few years ago. Opened it up recently and grabbed a few pics before smoking it. :)

Bubblebags 25-73 micron , Grandaddy Purple x OG Kush, Sweet Tooth and a couple more strains that I can't remember.

Ganoderma,

Frenchy/Cherry state marbling is from full spectrum single origin bubble.

What say you?

I asked a few others on IG, but they took a class and haven't formed their own opinions yet. Annoying.

I have some haze I may roll up, it was for another project, but I was fishing for an excuse to make more. I can't bring myself around to full spectrum. Just sounds (and in some cases, looks) like bloody contaminate.
