Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Congress does not own this site and offers no guidance as to content.

Ah, quite being dicks. Let yo freak flag fly pipeline.

What do you make of kanye and this religious mission he is on? Do you think he is sincere or it's some weird...idk art I guess? The guy doesnt make sense to me and comes across as crazy. I think I am the only person under the age of 45 that never thought he was that talented so never gave him that artistic leeway for eccentricities. Snoop lions religious transformation seems more credible to me.

Religion - VERY touchy subject - has led to many wars - because one side calls the other side un-believers - or disbelievers - or heretics - or Kafir's - or a whole swath of other nasty names - which all inevitably ends up in fights, then battles - then wars -

The question is - does all this religion actually do humanity more good than harm - or more harm than good?

Some people would even argue that god is a concept that keeps them sane - but is that all really necessary - if we are to progress - and not regress or stagnate - locked into these ancient cults and religions - that rely on superstition, fear of the unknown/afterlife - and other unacceptable practices -

God is a concept by which we measure our pain.

lmao... Do you... do you REALLY believe that the first amendment has anything whatsoever to do with speech between private people on a private website?

You simply cannot be that much of a simpleton.

The first amendment applies everywhere. Even here.It just doesn’t guarantee publication and only pertains to actions of our own (U.S.) government.

Religion just is.Neither good or bad.
It’s just how we explain things we don’t understand.

Stone

Stone has always reminded me of Joe Pesci's character in JFK, movie by Oliver Stone (ironic?), David Ferrie a real live underworld player. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Ferrie

In this photo he looks like a cross between Trump and Stone (Roger, that is)

Don’t eat raw pork.

I think the raw pork edicts in Islam and Judaism are related to the fact that human flesh tastes like pork. (Not chicken.)

So in days of old, when death often came at a young age, some of that flesh made its way to the butcher's market.

Plastic Additives, Stress During Late Pregnancy Boosts Risk of Premature Birth

Researcher recommends eating less processed foods, reducing use certain personal care products

Women exposed simultaneously to stress and plastic additives late in pregnancy are at increased risk for premature birth, according to a study by Rutgers and other institutions.
The study, published in the journal Environment International, is the first to analyze a link between stress and phthalates – a group of chemicals in plastics, personal care products and electronics – and premature births. The findings are the latest in the Infant Development and the Environment Study, which tracked 783 women throughout their pregnancies between 2010 and 2012.
“Both exposure to phthalates and high levels of stress have been individually linked to births before 37 weeks gestation, but how these two risk factors may influence each other had not been previously explored,” said co-author Emily Barrett, an associate professor at Rutgers School of Public Health and Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute. “Our research suggests that the third trimester is the critical window for these risks.”
People are exposed to phthalates by eating and drinking foods from containers and products containing the chemicals, through packaging and food handling equipment, through their skin in personal care products and in the air they breathe.
While stress itself is not related to the exposure of these plastic additives, stress can affect the immune system, lead to inflammation and change hormone levels, potentially making these women more vulnerable to the adverse effects of phthalates.

Barrett said other factors – how a woman perceives stress, how she uses social supports to lessen stress and the total number of stress events in her life – can affect how stress during pregnancy affects her child’s health. The researcher recommends that pregnant women limit their exposure to phthalates by eating less processed foods and reducing use of plastics and personal care products.
The researchers analyzed urine samples throughout the women’s pregnancies for traces of phthalates and reviewed questionnaires they completed in their third trimester about stressful events – such as job loss, serious illness, family death, relationship difficulties and legal or financial problems – during their pregnancies. About nine percent of the women delivered prematurely, 70 percent of which were spontaneous.
“Mothers who had higher levels of phthalates in their urine and reported stress during their pregnancy as well were more likely to give birth preterm,” Barrett said. “We think that stress may make the body more vulnerable to the impacts of chemicals in our environment, like phthalates.”

‘Voters Don’t Want To See Crazy Stuff’: Obama Asks WTF Are 2020 Democrats Doing

‘Average American doesn’t think we have to completely tear down the system and remake it,’ he says

Zero Hedge - November 17, 2019 Comments

Former President Obama cautioned 2020 Democratic candidates not to move too far to the left, as messages of sweeping societal and government transformations risk turning off the party’s moderate base, according to the New York Times.
“Even as we push the envelope and we are bold in our vision, we also have to be rooted in reality,” said Obama – who told a room of wealthy liberal donors: “Even as we push the envelope and we are bold in our vision we also have to be rooted in reality.”
“The average American doesn’t think we have to completely tear down the system and remake it.”
Obama joins House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former Florida Senator Bill Nelson, and other moderate Democrats in his implicit warning over plans by Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) who have called for a “political revolution” and “big structural change” with ideas that would eliminate private health insurance and place a moratorium on deportations according to The Hill.
The comments marked an extraordinary entrance into the primary contest by the former president, who has been careful to avoid even the appearance of influencing the direction of the race.
His remarks offered an implicit critique of Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, who have urged voters to embrace “political revolution” and “big, structural change,” as well as proposals once widely considered to be left to the liberal fringes of the party, including court packing and decriminalizing illegal border crossings. -NYT
“I don’t think we should be deluded into thinking that the resistance to certain approaches to things is simply because voters haven’t heard a bold enough proposal and if they hear something as bold as possible then immediately that’s going to activate them,” added Obama. “There are a lot of persuadable voters and there are a lot of Democrats out there who just want to see things make sense. They just don’t want to see crazy stuff. They want to see things a little more fair, they want to see things a little more just. And how we approach that I think will be important.”
In April, the former president said “One of the things I do worry about sometimes among progressives in the United States — maybe it’s true here as well — is a certain kind of rigidity where we say, ‘Uh, I’m sorry, this is how it’s going to be,’ and then we start sometimes creating what’s called a ‘circular firing squad,’ where you start shooting at your allies because one of them has strayed from purity on the issues,” adding “And when that happens, typically the overall effort and movement weakens.”
In early November, Pelosi suggested that 2020 Democrats may strike out against Trump with ultra-liberal policies that may fire up coastal leftists, but may not go over well elsewhere.
“What works in San Francisco does not necessarily work in Michigan,”Pelosi said in a wide-ranging interview with Bloomberg. “What works in Michigan works in San Francisco — talking about workers’ rights and sharing prosperity.”
Bill Nelson, meanwhile, also said earlier this month that if Warren or Sanders become the party’s nominee in 2020 that Democrats would effectively be ceding Florida to Trump.
“The answer is yes,” said Nelson – a Biden supporter who narrowly lost his re-election in 2018. “I say this with the greatest respect and admiration and friendship for those other senators who embrace Medicare for All. But the hard reality is, it is going to be a stretch too far for the Democrat candidate.”
And while Obama is now cautioning 2020 progressives against straying too far left, he’s still not endorsing his former VP Joe Biden, the moderate Democratic frontrunner.

AG Barr Blasts Democrats’ ‘Scorched-Earth Campaign’ To ‘Sabotage’ Trump Presidency

‘They essentially see themselves engaged in a war to cripple, by any means necessary, a duly elected government,’ he says

Attorney General William Barr eviscerated the Democrats’ zealous coup efforts to undo the Trump presidency and “incapacitate” the executive branch.
During a Friday speech at the Federalist Society’s dinner in Washington, Barr called out the “resistance,” accusing them of attacking the very foundations of America and the Constitution.
“Immediately after President Trump won the election, opponents inaugurated what they called the ‘resistance’ and they rallied around an explicit strategy of using every tool and maneuver to sabotage the functioning of the executive branch and his administration,’ the Attorney General said.

“In waging a scorched-earth, no-holds-barred war of resistance against this administration, it is the left that is engaged in a systematic shredding of norms and undermining the rule of law.”
“The cost of this constant harassment is real,” he added.
Barr compared the left’s rhetoric to that of groups who attempt to overthrow governments using military force.

“Now resistance is the language used to describe insurgency against rule imposed by an occupying military power,” Barr said. “It obviously connotes that the government is not legitimate. This is a very dangerous and, indeed, incendiary notation to import into the politics of a democratic republic.”
“They essentially see themselves engaged in a war to cripple, by any means necessary, a duly elected government.”
Barr then defended Trump’s mandate to carry out his policy goals despite his nontraditional approach.
“The fact is, that, yes, while the president has certainly thrown out the traditional beltway playbook and punctilio, he was upfront about what he was going to do and the people decided that he was going to serve as president,” he noted.
Barr’s remarks come amid the Democrats’ first week of impeachment hearings against Trump, where they’ve marched out several “witnesses” who testified they never actually witnessed any wrongdoing by the president.
