No doubt many people can be programmed easily but there are plenty of others that march to their own drum and aren't so malleable.

We can all be pushed and prodded.

There are suboptimal control structures which keep most “free-thinkers and rugged individualists” within. Christianity, Catholicism specifically, has dedicated centuries to perfecting the packaging and use of “outliers” - their apostate inheritors learned a shit-ton during WW2, which gave birth to mass marketing, what keeps getting stupidly referred to as ‘social engineering’, and the regulation of the voting pool.

I think religion will eventually get phased out or replaced/upgraded IF things on earth progress in a positive direction.

But that is still up in the air at this time :frown:

lmfao, you guys are a riot. A dishonest, fact twisting riot.

The tax savings were relatively small for many families, however ... Last year’s tax cuts showed up mostly in the form of lower withholding from workers’ paychecks. A few extra dollars in a biweekly paycheck proved easy to miss.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/14/business/economy/income-tax-cut.html

It's almost as if the tax cuts were designed to give everyone a token 'tax cut' of a few cents (while the vast vast vast vast vast majority went to the 0.1%) so the dishonest shitheads who designed it can claim that it's 'good for everyone!'.

heres an example of how the lefts media controls the democrats narrative and mind set...reality be damned

That 1,600$ is temporary and evaporating in 2022...

Trade taxes (tariffs) are currently costing an estimated 600$ per household and will rise to 1,000$ in December according to JP Morgan’s estimate...

610$ for a few years,
Crumbs for the peasants as usual....

Sounds to me like you might come out flush then...and still kick China in the nuts

Keep in mind trumps got another cut planned for next year...
And your house of pain could easily vote any tax cuts permanent if they really gave a shit about you
Or perhaps you would prefer the dems to get rid of the tax cuts,
raise taxes and take your peanuts and crumbs away....and perhaps food from your kids mouths...
The choice is clear and untwisted

Taxes will go back up to pre-Trump tax cut numbers (which would technically be a tax increase) for all Americans making $75,000 or less (which is over half of the country.... 50% of the American workforce makes $30k or less) by the year 2026 which isn't too far from now.

It's a total bait and switch tax plan lol even if you are seeing some benefit.

U.S. is borrowing a trillion dollars this year to make up for the deficit financed GOP tax cuts, if actual costs are being considered

if you owe $5, you are a bum. if you owe millions, you are a big businessman. if you owe a trillion, you are a government.
(that is a quote from someone, which i undoubtedly misquoted by allowing for inflation...:)

which numbers?

CBO for the tax cut numbers

SSA/Average Wage Index for the wage statistics

the tax cuts aren't permanent precisely because the cuts for the elites are in fact permanent. that loss in gov't revenue has to be made up somehow ;)

gotta pull the wool over poor folks eyes long enough for the rich to steal the sheep...

As Donald Rumsfeld famously said during the first Shrub regime, “Reagan proved deficits don’t matter”: GOP *shamelessly* runs up the debts, *with* tax cuts, say it’s all good, pays for itself; when out of office, deficits are ALL THAT MATTER!!!! TAX AND SPEND! TAX AND SPEND!!! Dems get things cleaned up and put back together, GOP rolls back around - lather, rinse, repeat.

Been like clockwork since George the 1st left office...and right out in the open, if one is honest enough to look around
