I got an order from them recently and I have a question about the Lao freebies. Sorry to ask here but I don't want to start a thread about it.

I understand few of the Highland Lao may germinate but I am going to try them anyway. It says in the description "Lao and Thai ganja landraces take 6 months from seed to harvest, though earlier variants are closer to 5 months." It also says 2 harvests a year in that area, so I am guessing that the day length is quite constant and the plants are probably going almost straight into flower. As I am forced to grow indoors at present (unfortunately), would I be able to start them in at 12 hours of light, or would I be better to briefly veg them?

Worth mentioning that the packaging was great and the RSC a pleasure as far as customer service goes.

If you look through the TRSC catalogue and then look what Khalifa Genetics offers.
One might wonder where Khalifa got their accessions from. It doesn't mention it on their website either.

I'm not accusing, I'm just noticing.

Yes, kalifha only buy seeds, reproduced in open pollination normally and sell this seeds, isn't a good seed bank in my opinion

@Greatdalas not shure.
Khalifa wrote about how they selected their unrelased Cambodian, and also the Laos and Marrocan went trough selectionprojects. If they sell rather open Pollinations, thats another Quest. In case of Marrocan i recall they wrote about their Process on Website, they also mention Collector of Lao and others Lines at another Site.

Also: is Realseedcompay selected? As i understand it its mostoften seed directly from Country of origin. Original Landraces are selected?
Since newly i heard they used Reproductions to sell, such as Highlandthai is a repro, and the newest Version of MAngolaos, is a Line from Bodhi.
But i never hear they select ..

But who knows

Khalifa says they select against hermies and do reproductions from those seeds. Their KULLU was grown by a friend on another forum, its obviously pure sativa while this was a strain thought to be lost to hybridization. I buy from both seed banks.
I have the same question about ace for instance...Parvati from RSC is way....way cheaper than ACE Parvati.

I bought rasoli from khalifa before RSC had it.
They ran it through one cycle indoor using 12_12 schedule and eliminates herMiEs. Thats an important step for me since I have a six plant minimum.
They have strains RSC doesn't such as KULLu Aladin skunk, and Morrocan beldia.
Their business model is different and that's fine. They won my support by posting photos of their spindly..sativa buds when others were borrowing photos off the web.
I appreciate having choices, RSC has their business model and khalifa has Their business model. I like having more than one place to buy landrace SEEDS.
I BUY A LOT FROM kwikseeds and from khalifa too.

I was doing Google searches for landrace genetics and they pop d up. They only had two strains at the time. Seemed like the other was KERALA? Maybe? They sent me BalkH freebies lablled "Northern Afghan" a shame to say havent ran either of them.
I'm collecting landraces for the day when I can't get landraces.

Seed Whore
^^^ Wait until Mid-September if you can. No need to rush them as they'll ripen well before the weather gets bad. ;)
