i hafe to ask what was that stuff you put inbetween the hyrotones and the soil, i saw that link you posted in the bigining of this post on soma's method but im american and even my best tries coulnt iterprit one word. could you possably try to iterprit thatdisplay of the layers of the box at the top of that page??? im going to be getting two boxes, the specs are 2' by 2' and 5' high. i was thinking of trying for nine plants in each box, 4 squar feet. but looking at both your grow and grow doc's im thinking of spacing about one plant a square foot. how many plant would you think could grow in each box. i will have it well ventilated and am trying to get mostly indicas, or atleast indica dominance.

the stuff i put between soil and correls is just water penetrable and roots impermeable.
sometimes its even called root drapery.

as i am european, i cant imiange how big are 4 square feet. when you tell me the gages in cm or meter, i will tell you how many plants i would put in there.

4 square feet is the same as 1.1m2

ok 1,1m². as i have 0,75m² and 30 plants in it, i guess i would put on a 1,1m² field about 7 x 7 rows? i got now 6 x 5 rows. (100 x 75cm). so i guess about 50 plants. but thats the maximum, i guess. 40 or something like that would be better, if u would like to do a sog.

Very interesting grow. I use a 430 and I would realy like to see was what you could (can in your case) do. Im bookmarking this one cant wait to see more.

its 2 ft by two feet, thats 61cm on each side. the hight of the box is 5ft, or 152cm. doesnt seem like much by your standerds but alls i have is a closet to work with. i will have two boxes, side by side. i will have two 400w daystar ac's, one in each box. they will be conected by ducting and cooled together by a can fan. the grow area will be about 117cm tall from the soil to the light. i will have both boxes well ventilated with an active air blower on one box and ducting connected to the other. the last box will be connected to a can air filter. ive done some scetches and am thinkin of trying for ten plants five in each box, ill try and arrange them much like the #5 on a die or dice if you know what i mean. if not four on each corner, one in the middle. thank you for the advice, no doubt growdoc's the man but your doing it in boxes so i ask you for aid. any help will be much appreciated.

When u where going on about ur 2x2x5 boxes I thought that was just for your soil, I thought u must have something strange planned if ur wanting to put 5ft deep soil to put plants in

I'm currently looking at getting my first grow on too, and was thinking along the same measurements as you've got at first. Have now decided to go for 80cm x 60cm x 1,80m as I can get a ready made nice lookin wardrobe from Ikea for half the price I would have spent on building my own little one

I would do a minimum of 10 plants per light, but this all comes down to how long vegg for.

With a sea of green i wouldnt vegg long, but if you wanna do a screen of green then vegging is ur best friend....

Make sure the vent system you buy is double what you need...

cannakid: 61 x 61 x 150cm. ok. so you got 0,4m². i guess you should try 4 x 4 rows of plants. or 5 x 4. thats 16-20 plants. my box is 180. so you got 30cm less. you shouldnt grow sativas though, but as you want to grow indicas should be now problem. you should switch to 12/12 after 1week 18/6 at least, or the plants will be to big.

today is the last time they get nutrients, because the harvest should be on day 50 or something like that, so 2 weeks only water + bio bizz top max (4 flavor).

Are you sure you want to use no nutes? I surely dont do that. In the last two weeks you can get a lot on the mass of buds, especialy using PK 13-14.... as for the taste... search for water cure.
