"Weed" today is a lot of things. Although I can vibe with your point to an extent... the incidence on certain variety families can turn out to be quite boring.

when i started smoking Weed year 2000 Switzerland, we didnt have "Tolerance problems" . Atleast not every weed would smash you to the Couch. not AT ALL.
We had actually guys like Skunkman, you know breeders type guys here cause ur good laws.. they DID leave strong genetics i guess, but for shure was we had strong weed, that wasnt "exceeding tolerance" in same time.

God weed has decayed since it was prohibited after 2000. THEN the people would come up with the Word "Tolerance problem".

Sorry for the discourage. But its telling. People have to do the same and propperly preserve Genetics, cause they get inbreeding depressed.. . This leads to outcrossing/or alternatively weak weed that nobody requests anymore..

ITs sad. And i dont adress this to anyone. But i tell you we gotta save weed, cause like ACE Seeds said: "Cannabis is very flexible, changeable" (sorry for my shitty english) . Man it decays. get it.. inbreeding depression kills our weed. our reputaion too.. it becomes that brainfuck weed.

im telling you, this thc-selection is a result of the loss of power. as i described it above "Cannbis is very changeable".
As soon as we westerners got the original landraces, or made some good crosses of them, every generation the inbreeding depression lingers in the Back like a Wolf. To kill every single "Legendary Strain". In no time.

THATS why people desperatly do thcselection, im telling you my Statement goes to the Core, thats what you with your "balanced selection" cant solve.
Only a person pollinating ultra high numbers, will create a seed, that wont be desperatly handled, desperatly selected thowards THC, desperatly outcrossed.... ITs all about preservation. MY OPPINION. Thats the problem.. No matter how you select your line. Sooner or later nobody wants your line. cause its depressed.

I also lived the same period, in Switzerland, the weed was strong, really strong, (not all varieties of course) and without a ceiling ... many believed that it was "rigged" in some way ....
However I believe it is also a body factor, only a few strains (all indica or indi dominant) create tolerance, the rest (landrace and sativas as well) shoot me skyward, depending on the quantity ....

Not sayin' that's the case with Gypsy... he can also claim 'jet-lag'.

- I'm not toking anything super-strong on a daily basis in the UK generally - lately its mostly been Moroccan hash - and not all day - what happened to me back there in Amsterdam - was probably what you might dare to call an 'over-dose' - and if that happens with cannabis - I just fall asleep - into the realms of unconsciousness - feeling fine - and wake up feeling refreshed - that night I got a solid 8 hours sleep - alone in that hotel room - for the first time - in a very long time - and it was good -
