This was a big problem for me when I was in Australia. You couldn't just find a hot spot anywhere. It was the first country I'd been in where they lock down their routers so effectively.

I swear, I pulled my car over once and got a decent signal on my laptop. I wasn't online more than two minutes b4 a guy popped out of the house in front of me and gave me the evil eye.

Evidently something pops up on screen when someone tries to access a router. You get kicked very fast too.

Telstra, Optus, etc. don't want ppl sharing lines. They want to keep their monopolies (but can't).

So don't expect to be able to "steal" the internet in Australia. They make you pay everywhere. Even when there are hot spots, they're never free. You must setup an account....

Australia is a country where they don't have citizens, they have consumers who are very carefully controlled...

well as i said before im not with telstra and it was working fine....about 3 am i tryed post on a page already opened...pressed post and went to anouther page...came back to icmag and found the 404 message...so now im blocked...well now i went and found a proxy so im back again.....
