Aint that the truth

Aint that the truth

It's true Dennis Peron, Craig Canada, Leland Cole, Dragonfly were either paid or under the puppet strings of Peron to assassinate prop 19. The real danger to prop 215 patients is AG Cooley, who has regained a widening lead. I'd love to see who's on Cooley's payroll.

The assumption young voters or growers in Mendo or Humboldt had much impact is false. It boils down that although heavily democratic, the voting ideology is 60% conservative in California. We see it on prop 8 and 19. I doubt 215 would pass, now.

With Cooley coming, you better grab your ass and hide your stash.

Yeah, time to make sure your room is legit and your cash is stashed.

First off, where is it in the republicans charter to attack pot on all levels? Are drugs even a part of their charter? How about the democrats, where is it in their charter to be the champion of pot? Get real folks, this is not a political issue. Only in the minds of the galactically shallow could folks see that a particular party is waging war and the other is fighting for us.

Really...republicans dont attck mj? Then how come they are the ones who always are pushing for more enforcement on mj? How come they are the ones who always vote against any pro-mj bill that comes along? When I went to the tea party rally these people saw themselfs as tea party members, but the majority was voting for republican candidates. That 45-60 demographic that voted 19 down was the huge conservative, republican/tea party base that came out in huge numbers because they "wanted to take their country back" (whatever the fuck that really means..?). These people were far the hailed knowledge and wisdom you speak of and much closer to batshit off the wall insanity. Now im not saying ALL of them are, because I do know some level headed republican and tea party memebers, but the majority have such a skewed version of reality it's almost as if they are living in their own self delusional bubble.

>>If you think im just some tree hugging liberal pussy who just wants to take shots at right wingers, I will find you the proof to back up what I have said. But if you have been paying attention to mj legislature, then you would know that what I have said is true, and republicans always run on this holier-than-thou drug warrior crusade to trump up their votes from the ultra-conservative christian voters.

These billions go out in the community, get spent, and get taxed on these transactions. This happens multiple times. They just don't get taxed directly by Sacramento. The state trying to stop the economy created by cannabis would ultimately decrease tax revenue. They can't afford to slow down the biggest cash crop in the state when the economy is in the shitter. They would be shooting themselves in the foot. They still collect plenty of taxes on this money, just one step down the line.

:laughing::laughing::laughing:
I dont mean to be a dick, but you sure live up to the crazy if your going to try and justify grower's continued exsistance because CA wont raid / arrest them due to the state being so desperate for the sales tax from the commodites these growers purchase.....

Thanks big herb
:thank you:

To say that political parties are not going to use Cannabis as a wedge issue is beyond ignorant. And to argue that a republican administration is not going to attack MMJ is also ignorant. The reason Eric Holder had to publicly come out and say that the administration will not go after dispensaries/growers that follow state law, is because until he said that the official policy of the fed was to go after any/all MMJ.

Cannabis has been prohibited since the 30's for political reasons, not fiscal. This wedge issue division of america over ganja is not going to change.

Look Thomakal Vwalaa, you didn't comprehend what I posted. Where is it that I said that group was old? Are you smart enough to even be debating in here?
If so, then why not compose something of value instead of your pissy kneejerk comments?
Then try to throw bad rep to boot...lol...

Herb, look I know you have the disease and nothing will shake it from you. Debating you would turn out like your attempt to label the tea party as racists and bigots or whatever else sort of ignorant shit you posted in that thread. And you were really shown to be quite lacking on the "proof" stuff, so I would settle down if I were you.
And I tell you what, smart guy...when you see Obama and his administration ramping up the seizures and raids, don't say I didn't warn you. Election season may seem like it just ended, but it just begun my friend. You wait and see if what I say doesn't happen. Your oh so precious progressive liberal administration only believes in our cause as far as it may gain them a vote or two. Anything past that is simply stupid to assume. ANd in the upcoming election season don't you think that the scales aren't tilted away from the MJ cause in the nation. Obama will pander to the majority, and the majority would love to see him start kicking some drug ass. And it may be all he has left to use for his bid to stay.
No, it is not a politically polarized issue at all. There are just as many uneducated liberals as there are conservatives. What you bring to the table is nothing more than your own personal perception. No? Then prove away, horse.

Proof huh? I guess next time ill carry a video camera and a microphone when im handing out fliers at a political rally, but than again im sure even if i had shown video evidence you'd still find a way to justify it in a rational sense.

As far as republicans against mj use, you really need not look hard to find proof. This is just recently. If I went into the archive I could damn near write a book about all the republican elected officals who come out with haste against mj.

Republican House Judiciary Member Lamar Smith condemns Obama administration for taking such a lax stance with marijuana and due to this stance he says they are "encouraging kids to use marijuana". Smith demands federal government take on a more offensive approach to mj enforcement.

Republican District Attorney Steve Cooley warned that he intends to prosecute medical cannabis dispensaries that sell the drug even if the city's leaders decide to allow those transactions.

"The L.A. City Council should be collectively ashamed of their failure to grasp this issue," Cooley said, arguing that state laws do not allow medical marijuana to be sold. "Undermining those laws via their ordinance powers is counterproductive, and quite frankly we're ignoring them."

Republican District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis condemns all mj use, specially mmj. Here is a video of an interview with her, and her being condemned for taking such a staunch stance on medical marijuana patients: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKcpqq4JvS4

This other guy is obviously living on a cloud somewhere. I doubt he is in CA judging by his ignorance surrounding the politicization of Cannabis and MMj. He took my statement about old people to jump on me about the 40-65 crowd, which shows how he is arguing against a point that was never made. His posts have an angry POV, I think this guy is just an unhappy troll.

Like I said, it is nothing but your perception you are bringing to the table. And a misguided one at that. That sort of divisiveness will never get us far either.

Yes, absofuckinglutely bring your camera and tape recorder for the next time you want to lay charges. Charges that nobody else seems to be able to back up either...not even the professional media with all their resources. No, I say you are one of the problems. You too need educated.

I didn't go to the rally to lay charges, I went there to possibly persuade likely voters to get behind marijuana legalization. I just told you my experience with what I witnessed. You can believe whatever you like, but you can't tell me what I did or did not witness.

Bht, I know we have locked horns on occasion, but I do respect you. I simply see things in a different light than you do. I have friends...dear friends, and family that are also misguided in their thought process. I don't make enemies of them, but I do try my best to convince them to see what I perceive as the err in their ways. For whatever it's worth, I only do it because I actually do care about and respect them. If I didn't respect them I would just let their ignorant shit fly by me...sorta like I am doing now with our boy Thom. (sheesh...lol...)

Looking at things objectively, could we not see the same sort of misguided thinking the general non-smoking population has concerning marijuana, being very similar to the thinking non-conservative folks have about conservative people?
Ask a non-smoking person the first things in their head when the words cheech&chong are mentioned? Or perhaps ask one of these people to describe what they would imagine a NORMAL meeting would look like and describe who they think would be participating? Would not all the cliches and stereotypical responses be expected?
The general public needs educated...as they simply have their perception of things screwed up. The smoking crowd is clandestine and hidden for the most part in the nation, and most other non-smokers aren't even aware that they live, and work, and VOTE right next to folks just like themselves that happen to partake in the joys of herb.
When the "pot smokers are mostly dumb stoners with little to no motivation and a drag on society" talk starts up, many folks don't set them straight because of the stealth factor alone. But they need to be straightened out if we are ever going to get anywhere. Divisiveness in the name of ignorance never won any battles.

Same goes for the charges that get laid by those of opposing political dispositions. Too often they take conventional wisdom and hearsay to base their perception of things. To a point that all many of these folks need to hear is a word or a name and they too can throw out the cliches and your basic name calling based on ignorance.
Many can only hear the words TEA Party, and they will immediately have a picture in their head of toothless idiots with bear bellies and wearing KKK pins.
Thing is there has been NO evidence of this...only the rants from folks like you..who obviously have it in your head that right wing people are against pot and left wing aren't.
IMO, if you would actually read and understand what those people are all about, their platform is about the only one that would EVER be behind complete decriminalization and no government control.
But, their message gets sidetracked by the sideshow of fucked up perceptions.

...only the rants from folks like you..who obviously have it in your head that right wing people are against pot and left wing aren't.

If you remember that thread, my first post stated that I knew nothing about the tea party rally, other than a few of their key principles and that they are likely voters that I hoped to persuade.

Unfortunatly, I was met with serious opposition from the majority of attendees towards marijuana legalization and rather or not these people wanted to admit their stance, the crowd reaked of racism and this racism was promoted through the organizers who were handing out anti-immigration literature and debuted speakers who relayed horror stories about robberies and murders that were commited by illegal immigrants.

No, I didnt see KKK flags or burning crosses. But it's not hard to sense the underlying hate that emanated from many of these tea party members. With that being said, I am a mid-aged white male. So don't think that i'm making these claims because i'm mexican or african-american or what have you...

But seriously, enough of the tea party. As soon as Obama isn't president anymore they will have dissapeared and you'll no longer hear the cries of "we want our country back". Please tell me what that means by the way, because if anyone really took control of our government and drove it into the ground, it was the Bush administration. Where was the tea party then?

I also stated that the MAJORITY of each of these parties vote accordingly. It is proven that more democrats support mj legalization, than republicans. Not to mention, everytime you see people coming out calling for stricter mj laws and enforcement, its always from a republican electee. Not trying to make this about who's the better party, i'm just telling you how it is...

This guy is such a hypocrite. I plus rep him a page back. He assumes its negative and goes on rampage. He curses me out and bad reps me in private then comes here on some high and mighty. He is not judging and trying to make peace LOL, while telling the pro-19 folks that they are ignorant, and that they have erred in thinking. What a joke. You don't get to throw bombs and complain when they come back. If you had some actual info to post, as I posted, you would actually be contributing, instead of verbally masturbating about how the fucking tea party is misunderstood. :bump: the stupid tea party. There are about as many racists in the tea party as there are ganja smokers on icmag.

I fail to see what you are contributing or what your point even is, other than pro-19 folks should be better loosers...

If you did not notice I was posting actual news articles, and what I heard from an actual panel of big name Cannabis figures on the west coast. My editorial about d-fly was hardly worth your scolding and continued masturbation

I can get along with the unquoted parts. But this paragraph and especially the bold line is well...

Lets educate.

one of many articles

There is also video of early Tea Party People admitting their movement was co-opted. Or atleast skewed away from its core (which in my mind is libertarian a la Paul.)

Maybe we should clarify if we are talking about the original tea party organizers or the current manifestation of conservatives.

The perceptions were created to influence the election. They were purposeful.

I cannot really believe that you knew nothing about the TEA party and their rallies. It was a hot topic at the time, and not like you simply fell into the thing without even knowing what you were getting into. You knew.

Unfortunatly, I was met with serious opposition from the majority of attendees towards marijuana legalization and rather or not these people wanted to admit their stance, the crowd wreaked of racism and this racism was promoted through the organizers who were handing out anti-immigration literature and debuted speakers who relayed horror stories about robberies and murders that were committed by illegal immigrants.
The majority of the attendees....bollocks and bullshit. You didn't engage the majority of the attendees. That is simply you trying to make your story sound better. You didn't have that much exposure to the majority of the attendees and you know it.

And it is very typical for those who have pre-determined thoughts about the TEA party to lay the racism charge. And nothing is as low as those of you who lay this charge without any sort of backing at all. And you don't have any fucking backing at all to lay that charge out. You really need to be confronted by one of these people, and they really need to set you straight. But I will do it for now...
Look, your race bating is a big part of the problem in our nation. You fucks want to throw this race thing out there like it is nothing but a talking point to gain some points for your side.
First of all smart one....race has not one fucking thing to do with the illegal status of an immigrant. It is only you progressive trouble makers that want to inject the race thing...and why? Because your real beef with these people isn't enough to really have a beef. In fact, everything these folks are about is right in line with all that is good about America. But you need to demonize them. Make them look to be racist bastards. Even when the only thing they have done is lobby against illegals having free reign and taking advantage of our already hurting system.
Just what race is an illegal immigrant?
Stop your race baiting, it is very unbecoming of a human being.
You need to realize that it is YOU being the racist when you lay such a charge out there with nothing at all to back it up. Yes, you and people like you who lay this charge, and carry this unfounded perception in their heads, are the REAL RACISTS and dividers of our people.

No, I didnt see KKK flags or burning crosses. But it's not hard to sense the underlying hate that emanated from many of these tea party members. With that being said, I am a mid-aged white male. So don't think that i'm making these claims because i'm mexican or african-american or what have you...
It isn't hard for a race bating person who is using what is in their heads (their perceptions) rather than the facts. You could just sense it because you have it in your head that is the way it is...not because they were showing it. You have stated that they didn't show it, and that you simply just sensed it...Surely you see how you just backed up my post that talked about this being all your perception, rather than the real thing? Perfect example of what I was talking about.

But seriously,
There is no seriously when you are making shit up based on your own misguided and pre-conceived perception of things. You now start stating facts, when we already know you make shit up to suit yourself, which I have found to be very typical of your type of people.
I mean, you do make shit up and you know it. Perhaps you could tell us more about the woman you claimed was arrested for knocking your fliers out of your hand? I am pretty certain you just made that up to boost your story. You were making shit up then, and you are making shit up now. It is just that simple.
I actually did some investigating to find out that you were indeed telling a big fucking lie with that one...so go ahead and try to convince us again.

Race baters and people who make up stories about others need to be called out into the open and challenged each and every time they lay out these charges.

Why did they choose Tea Party as a name? To me, that name invokes an image of whites dressed as Native Americans while committing a crime in order to place the blame on that race of people:

George Hewes was a member of the band of "Indians" that boarded the tea ships that evening. His recollection of the event was published some years later. We join his story as the group makes its way to the tea-laden ships:
"It was now evening, and I immediately dressed myself in the costume of an Indian, equipped with a small hatchet, which I and my associates denominated the tomahawk, with which, and a club, after having painted my face and hands with coal dust in the shop of a blacksmith, I repaired to Griffin's wharf, where the ships lay that contained the tea. When I first appeared in the street after being thus disguised, I fell in with many who were dressed, equipped and painted as I was, and who fell in with me and marched in order to the place of our destination.

I never thought of it in that light before. why didnt we just walk out in broad daylight, tell any brits on the ship that if they interfere then we are throwing them over too, and toss over the tea.

now the, "tea party" seems more like an act of cowardice than an act of rebellion.

No clues. Sad really.
