A healthy garden needs the weeds hoed out every so often.
hahahahahahahahahaha:laughing:
i've had a few payments never make it to the bay.
it happens.
just send it again.
as a matter of fact, i think my last payment got snagged.
sent my money in about 2 weeks ago and still nothing.
i'll wait another week and resend it i suppose.
wasnt the 1st time, wont be the last

^^^What he said...Shit does happen. I have had many a payment "lost" in the mail. Remember what you are doing here folks. If losing $100 is that detrimental, maybe your in the wrong field. Its all part of this "game" we play. Maybe a stoner at one of the mail offices recognized a name or somethin, snagged the envelope...again.....Shit Happens
good vibes

Im down for some New York Hush....lol.

some of us like me, particually a 200.00 order is alot and if gets lost it's a big deal to resend another 200.00 while we wait to see if the first ever shows up..even sboo site says mail can take 7-28 days..i resent mine today overnight but if my other m.o doesn't make it i'm kinda screwed..mayb 30 days for pymt. would be more appropriate..i mean,i send my sister reg mail to colorado sometimes it takes 4 or 5 days and overnight i found out today was 28.00..that's alot extra too...

I would imagine that people usually do something else that causes them to be unable to pay, rather than just waking up one day and saying 'Hey, I feel like typing "140" here in this little box. Wonder what that does?'

Maybe they're used to losing 3 of every 4 auctions, so they cast a wide net and bid on 4, figuring they'll be lucky to win one... and win 3.

Maybe something else comes up and money for seeds disappears. People are losing lots of jobs these days. Maybe they got popped or tore down the grow. Who knows.

I'm not trying to excuse it... I sell on eBay and I *detest* non-paying bidders. I am simply trying offer more realistic explanations for the phenomenon. It may not all be a conspiracy, or wanton douchebaggery. =)

With the amount of auctions that are unpaid for according to OP I seriously don't think there are that many reasons for non-payment. They said themselves that there are accounts who have maybe won 50 and paid for 25. If you notice on alot of the bidding if there are multiple listings of the same product sometimes the bids will all be identical, even when they are odd amounts. This tells me that someone is placing a max bid on all of the products listed hoping to get 1 or 2 and maybe they bid too high and get more and they cant pay for it. There is no conspiracy, it is a fact that if there is no consequence for bidding and not paying (like in real ebay) then there is no reason not to do it to win what you want. I'm really glad they are doing this because we are all overpaying when someone bids on multiple auctions and drives the prices up.

I'm sorry to rain on your parade, but the postal service in nearly every part of the world is now like 99.9% accurate, the only reason why an envelope wouldn't make it to the destination would be if you made some catastrophic mistake in the address (and even then, the letter would probably still make it).

This is not 1939, this is 2009, there is no reason to blame the postal service. If your payment hasn't arrived it is likely because you haven't sent it, and any excuses should not be tolerated.

oldpink: Have you considered eliminating payment via snail mail? Most credit/debit cards are used for "instant" payments, and you could probably make the user have to register a valid credit/debit card before they can even make a bid. Auction payments could be withdrawn immediately after the auction's ending, and the seeds could be re-listed immediately if the payment fails (or they could be sold to the second highest bidder, the third if their payment fails, and so on).

Seedbay seems to be modelled after eBay, and eBay does not accept any sort of payment through the mail. I think it would throw a kink into the abuser's mail games, which you'll always have a problem with as long as you keep accepting payment by mail (even with a 2 week payment deadline, the abusers will just find some excuse to delay their supposive payment, and as you can probably tell they are already doing this).

Even if you continue to accept payment by mail, there should be no exceptions made to the 2 week payment deadline. Excuses should not be tolerated, the seeds should be re-listed. Afterall, if the winning bidder/buyer really intended on purchasing them, they can just bid/buy them again after they are re-listed, right?

Also, oldpink, I know you're probably busy with this nonsense, but when you have the time, could you please let me know if the seeds I sent arrived (I sent them over 2 weeks ago)? It's not really important, but I was short on packaging and just wanted to make sure they made it there safe.

Otherwise, as I keep saying telling Gypsy, keep up the great work! Don't let losers discourage you.

I agree with most of what you said. I think the main problem with eliminating the money orders is that alot of people don't want credit card transactions on their account.

Every seed purchase I have made is with a CC. I have never had any issues with it and I have been ordering seeds for at least 10 years. I would use Sb if they took CC.

That's the thing....it has to be an option, not mandatory. Growers, as a whole are a cautious bunch. They work hard to not leave a paper trail anywhere. There are those who don't mind, and use a CC, but they are not the majority. If you made linking a CC up to an account mandatory many people would not buy, nor register. Thus, they would lose customers. Not a wise business idea. I like having every option avialable to me so I can make my own decision, but making it mandatory to have/use a CC in any way is not a good idea, imo. Also, what about those who choose not to have a CC but have money to purchase seeds? Wouldn't be fair.

I understand me being a legal user in my state using my CC does not effect my security since we have to register our grows to the state anyway. For the none legal users I could see this being an issue.

:angrymod: Great idea oldpink! :angrymod:
Get rid of these douches who arent paying! :ban:
What the hell is the sense of bidding on something that you dont intend to buy anyway? :bashhead:
Well, I personally can not wait for all the re-lists! :woohoo:
:nanana:...To all those who get the boot for dumb ass bidding!
You all deserve a good kick in the ass too! :asskick:

I had a feeling u might get some people who would put down multiple bids on say the deep chunk and if they won more than one they would try and snag just one and let the other auctions go.Total douche move.If people do that they should not get anything except banned.

To Real Seeds Co. bidders

To Real Seeds Co. bidders

May I suggest to them to make a Google search to check their regular prices before making outrageous bids and then don't paying for'em while I'd surely do it ?
Thanx

Pahari F.
25 seeds £54.99
12 seeds £29.99

That means the price for a 5 seeds pack would be between £11 and £12.50
= $15.72 - $17.87 (today's change)

Yes OP, I can comprehend but somebody bidded over $60 for Malana and Pahari and they've all been relisted due to non payers. I'd be happy to pay some bucks more for the fundraiser auctions, even 'cause I'm a very satisfied client/seller of SB and I don't like to go to other shops but, when somebody bids $60 and then he realizes that the right price was 1/4, he'll tend to don't pay. Better make'em know before they do it again.

Nice to know you're gonna stock these genetics.
You're all making a great work

This may be kind of strange, but I have quite a number of LA Confidential F2's, and am thinking of sending them into the fundraiser auction or freebies. I understand that the owners of icmag and the breeders of LA Con. are not friends, and I do not want to disrespect this bulletin board, but I thought that people here may enjoy growing them and generating some interest for the 420 fundraising auction or for freebies. According to retail prices, I see there is quite a few dollars worth of seeds there.

We can even change the name to something like New York Hush or some other play-on-words.

Mods or Gypsy, let me know either way.

Be good everyone.

That is the mother. It looks like a big shlong because I took the bottom branches off that were seeded.
