I hate the whole scene. I have yet to support a dispensary this year. When I'm in between harvests, I leave my money with the caregivers in this community that still have souls. I'd much rather help out the guy down the street pay his bills. But that's just me.

You dont go into the Dr office to pick up your Oxy script, crush a couple of them up and snort them with the nurse, do ya? If ya do, your Dr is gonna be shut down tomorrow. So are these dispensaries if they dont clean it up.

The fact is that most people dont smoke weed. Most sane people know its pretty harmless stuff, but there are alot of nutjobs and assholes who dont want it around. We are already fighting an uphill battle. Why give the other side any more ammunition?

And the names of the strains are pretty dumb. Not just the hard drug references, but names like Grape Ape and the like just sound retarded, or like your marketing the shit to children.

I really think that cannabis has always been something counterculture... I say be yourself and do business the way you want to. Why should we have to be like "them " ... this is alternative medicine not traditional medicine. If you used chinese herbs or something you would get it from a chinese herbal medman and where he did business would reflect his culture. We are the cannabis culture .. I say wave our flag proud ... if they dont like it ..we will put our numbers together and change it with the power of our votes. Why should "our" business be setup with "their" ideals anyways ? Alternative meds for All ppl .. but lets remember where they come from.
I feel much more comfortable walking into a medical office thats not all uptight and full of white coats. The osteopath I see is a very hip dude with nice oriental rugs and cool art and tapestries for decoration... he is also one of the most respected doctors in our area but far from the stereotypical doctor.
I say its not big pharma meds and doesnt want to be big pharma meds.... Lets be who we are and let them change their way of thinking... quit trying to fit into "their" world and be who we are and be proud about it ....they will get over it or maybe not

BUT.....

the medical marijuana people still need to gain nationwide acceptance.... unfortunately, we are part of a prejudiced, materialistic, image conscience society....

For EXAMPLE: this current situation can be compared to a simple job interview... after many long years, the medical marijuana community is still being "interviewed" by ALL of society

ie; joe schmoe (not THE joe schmoe, but a random guy i made up) with dreads and tats is going to have to shave his dreads and hide his tats in order to be accepted by his potential employer and get the job....

ONCE HE LANDS THE JOB,

THEN, he can grow his dreads back and expose his tats....

the same idea can be applied to the medical marijuana movement....

images need to be cleaned up, and once they are cleaned up, the public will most likely begin to accept it.... once accepted, and laws written, FUCK THE TIDY IMAGE! once accepted, may the best man win (win over the customers that is, by applying whichever theme to his/her company that they wish)!

can you guys tell the difference between California dispensaries and Colorado dispensaries? looks like one state is learning from the next........ is THIS why Obama decided to knock off California? Did california need to see the "game over" screen in order to start over fresh? I THINK SO! im going to continue to add photos of dispensaries to this thread, and i encourage you guys to do the same.... im all about the black market, but i have a soft spot in my heart for dispensaries, and I would love to see them thrive so that my fellow toking brothers and sisters who are unable to grow their own stuff are able to buy legally without the hassle or risk of buying underground....
