I think I might be under surveillance...

Sounds like your head is in the right place in regards to this. If I was in your shoes I would be staying the course but keeping a very watchful eye on who and what is parked up and down my street. In all honesty it could have just been some cops lookin for a new hole; somewhere to drink coffee, eat donuts, etc.

If you see em again, or even different vehicles same M.O., I would call the police on them and report two suspicious vehicles or some kids up to no good or whatever you wanna say that you KNOW will bring the police in a timely fashion. If a police car comes by then odds are they aren't cops, or at least it probably isn't what ever agency responds. If, for whatever reason, no cops come or it takes an inordinate amount of time then you know something is a little off and you can go from there.

I really don't think any of the above will be necessary but as they say "hope for the best but prepare for the worst".
I wish you and yours all the best and a safe, merry Christmas.

I started my neighbor growing about a year and a half later I come home one day to find about 20 ATF and Sheriffs walking around his house carrying lights out and such. I was growing in full force about twice as much as him.

Long story short is I watch my house regularly and I never saw anybody watching me or him but in his arrest warrant they had all kinds of surveillance they did and their training methods they were given to be able to surveil. The cars that were parked out front of the house and in his lawn at the time of the bust were all unmarked just "regular" cars ie: old toyota truck, old honda civic cars you would have never thought were police cars at all but the ATF dudes were driving them. So I would say the cars in front of your house were for something else, unless they are trying to send you some type of I know what you are doing message.

The thing is I of course stopped immediately but I never heard a thing and my whole garage was blown out and he only had 1K worth of lights a 600W and a 400W.

This was in FL by the way the most intense state to be growing in for getting busted. Hope you stay safe and this helps.

If they are gonna pull up with 2 squad cars they're gonna knock and talk.

Surveillance is usually stealth. You generally wont be able to tell what a surveillance vehicle looks like without constantly looking into the window of every car in sight (which is suspect as fuck and will draw attention)

Trust your gut, i think if your gut was telling you you were gonna get popped you'd have already chopped.

3am ? go to bed

Thats the worst advice ever. I guess in some cases ignorance is bliss, but not here. 3AM is a great time to get jacked. Going to bed doesnt do anything for this guys situation.

If you were sleeping at 3 am what would they be seeing ?

I normally lurk, but after seeing these two comments I had to sign in and point out that the LAST thing you want to do when you see suspicious behavior is go to sleep... Do you want to wake up with a gun in your face instead of being prepared? At least if you explore all the possibilities you can narrow down the least likey and focus on the most likely possibility of why abnormal stuff is going on in your neighborhood.

To me it sounds like cops or robbers. Both would suck, but there are steps one can take to better each situation. Hash:tiphat:

Nobody said that except for you. Your digging a hole for yourself at this point...eventually there will be no way out. Sometimes its better to not say anything unless you have something constructive to say. Your comments are totally missing the point. Two broad scenarios here are possible... Think about this....

1.The OP(or another icmag member) listens to your comments- and goes to bed when he is about to get jacked or raided- and ends up dead, in the hospital, or arrested.

2. The OP (or another ICMAG member) takes precautions and does what he can to alleviate the situation, whether it be calling the cops(which i dont support 99% of the time),confronting the drivers, arming himself, or ripping down his grow. He should also talk to other members here in this forum about his security issues... Thats what this forum is here for right?

In conclusion, I am not here to argue, I have respect for you and Mrs. Babba, but I have to say, there are huge issues with the advice you gave this guy, and with any sarcasm that you use to protect point of view, or ego, or whatever the case may be (this is even more true because you are a moderator). BTW i do agree many on here are too paranoid and need to quit smoking racy sativas and just GO TO BED... but if you stay ready, you dont have to get ready when TSHTF, and being ready comes from assessing your situation like this guy is and being vigilant about your reality... The game has changed from the way it used to be... More and more people are getting jacked during these hard times... Those of us who have been growing for a long time should take note- "The times, they are a changin"... Hash:ying:

Well I certainly respect your point of view. But I also have my own. I dont stay up all night watching out my windows. I put my family in a safe place to start with ... then keep my business to myself enough I dont spend my time looking out the windows in the middle of the night. If it comes to that I will certainly make some changes on either where I live or what Im doing that makes me have to feel so paranoid. I appreciate your point of view... but its not how we ALL deal with it.

I hear that and agree. I am from an area that has a population of around 200 people and specifically moved here because safety was a huge concern... This year I grew huge plants that ranged from 4-12 lbs and could actually be seen by all my neighbors on my country road. It has been all good for the last 5 years, but every year, I start to worry when late september approaches... and every year we get a story or two about home invasions and different local busts. So even though I am out in the sticks, even though i have the high ground, being on the tallest hill in the area, and even though I am prepared for theives, the utopian paradise that I live in is slowly becoming more and more saturated with new growers and tweakers that are all about greed, they are literally moving in right next to me, and probably you as well, as I know we are both in Norcal. I am glad you have a safe place to live and hope it stays that way.:) Hash Man
