I have watched a troop of baboons raid a row of cabins in Kruger and you may be right. Vicious noisy creatures . . . they make the local vervants look like pets - but they are just as vicious - just a lot smaller and cuter. I had an on-going fight with a one-armed vervant over a couple of days. The bastard had no fear.
baboons frequently defend themselves from leopards, the big males do anyway. not ALWAYS successfully. damn things got some serious teeth...
