As you can see, there are huge differences between the yield of these two plants. There is a reason I'm not keeping gigabud around. She smells good though, I must admit. And she definitely finishes fast. But there was no vigor with her.

Cheese on the other hand is chunky, covered in resin, and chock full of bud. I kept a clone of her. As I was manicuring her I couldn't help but notice how complex her aroma is, while not once smelling like cheese! I shit you not, first it smelled like fried chicken, then I was picking up the smell of burnt rubber, like when a rubber belt heats up, in a car, or a vacuum cleaner or something like that. And then there is an underlying sweet skunk smell there too. It's bizarre. But it finishes in 8 weeks, apparently, so I'll keep her around and experiment with her more in the future.

Gigabud doesn't make the cut. From what I understand G13 Labs are an unscrupulous bunch anyway, and it was a freebie, so whatever. No loss. I'll probably enjoy smoking the 10 grams or so I'm looking at on her.

That cheese looks like a great sog plant, real nice.

Thanks! I think so too. I can't wait to devote more attention to it. This time around it got treated like a freebie gets treated. Not bad, right?

Thanks. I can't wait to try it out! I'm not even doing sampler buds off that one. I probably will do samplers off the tall sadhu, which isn't the one I'm keeping.

This one still stinks. I don't like it. Neither does my wife. I shoved it under her nose a minute ago and asked her what it smells like... She wrinkled her face up and pushed it away, and said, "Like a dumpster!"

Lol, and she's right it smells like a dumpster behind a restaurant, filled with rotting vegetables or something. Yuck. I won't be keeping this one around. Looks like she'll be a yielder though!

The gigabud is almost done drying... The cheese will be chopped in the next couple of days. She has been in darkness for a little while now, waiting for that moment. I'll update with pictures after anything happens with those two. That's all for now.

I can't wait to smoke some of that short Sadhu! She smells like slightly rotten melon fruit. A little stinky, but not repulsive like her sister. There are thick, chunky buds all the way down to the bottom. The colors are beautiful. This is primo bud here!

Yeah, I don't talk about her enough... She is easily the one I would call the "sexiest." Very gorgeous to look at, pictures don't do her justice. The funny thing is, in structure and color, she reminds me of the SS Bubblegum I grew for years. Which is weird since I'm pretty sure Bubblegum isn't Afghani x Mexican, lol. But she truly is gorgeous... Her fan leaves are small and the calyx to leaf ratio is good... Without even trying her out yet I know she will be a keeper.

PNR and Sadhu were the whole reason for this seed order in the first place... The Sadhu is what I expect to be my general purpose relaxation medicine, while PNR was meant to be insomnia medicine for me, and menstrual medicine for my wife. I can't be any happier with how it has all turned out.

I am hoping that the effects of those strains are what I'm looking for, because then I can work on establishing some recreational sativas into my life! I'd like to get into some of Ace's gear next. I hear good things about those genetics. Sativas are the recreational ones for me. I used to love tripping, so I'm going to be looking for the raciest and trippiest sativas I can find!

First official harvest!

First official harvest!

It's always a joyous occasion when your first harvest of any new grow is dried and put into the curing jar... Gigabud has finished drying. I got way less off of this plant than I expected... final product all trimmed and ready to smoke ended up weighing only 6.8 grams. Boooooooooo. But it's pretty, it's sticky, and it's something to smoke:

Cheese will be next.

Today is day 60 and I will most likely be harvesting the White Widow today. I just harvested Cheese a few nights ago. Sadhu will be harvested on day 63. PNR will be harvested on day 70. And Far Out will be harvested on day 77.

Day 63

I forgot to take pictures of the cheese and it's all gone now. Oh well. It wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, but I know she can do better if I give her all the attention. I'm pretty sure she could go longer, too. She'll get another chance.

Here is the White Widow, which came down on day 60:
