smell and taste are priority for me. looks come in 2nd. some of the best looking weed was shitty smoke (blackberry kush). some of the weirdest looking weed actually smoked nicer.

but my favorite weed has both looks and taste! OG KUSH!

Very little. The smoke test is the ultimate deciding factor.

The smoke test is the deciding factor, but if it is bricked up and has no frost I am gonna have to try it first for sure. If it is bricked up and stemmy shit and I can see that then I am not buying it, If it has dirt in it I am not buying it.

If people treat it like shit then they cant have to much pride in it which means it can be that good.

I remember bud not looking so great ie. columbian gold or panama red but being killer and I can't remember them having a big smell either. lol.. I would have to say that not all bud has a big smell but it's still good.. I would still say that not all bud looks great but it's still killer so I still say bag appeal means shit I guess it depends on where you are in this world aswell,,headband 707

in Colombia, where you can find tons of different varieties of herb; it is not at all unusual to find pressed buds that will blow your mind away, and also find buds not pressed that will just give you a nice regular buzz.

I've also had amazing looking buds, full of crystals, but with a very 'blah' high.

the only appearance I actually judge is whether or not the herb is healthy; that is, without molds or funguses of any kind. no black-shit or white-shit on stems specially, which is the hardest spot to catch unhealthy things at first glance.

so that would maybe be 25%? but it is not really based on aesthetics, but on health/quality of the product.

When buying commercial shit from the backdoor doctor I go about 50% off looks and the other 50% off of smell they don't give free samples so I can't say the smoke is deciding factor....only time the smoke can decide is on the returning trip to refill my bag

Bag appeal is very important to me. You need to have it all for it to be worth having as personal smoke. I like dense resin drippin buds and anything that doesn't cut that will go into my concentrates stash to be made into dry ice hash or something else.

Very little personally. My first cut of GDP had shit for frosting, but the high was amazing! And i've had a couple strains that were frosty as nuts, but bland effect taking several hits to get more than a headache.

I'm not saying that there aren't some killer strains out there that are frosty as all get out and the high is simply amazing, just that it's not always the case.



Bag appeal is for those looking to make a profit, which is why shit like "Grit weed" exists in the first place
