How many here have a university degree?

All you smart people. I'm just happy riding the bus without my helmet now. I glad my bus is short. I get confused if it's bigger.

Bsc. here.

Though I don't rate University very highly at all (ok - I don't rate the uni i went to). It's a real rip-off these days which does nothing to teach, inspire or encourage you to think. If I could do it all again, I'd have done apprenticeships and open university courses rather than indulge the egos of real-world failures who resort to teaching.

Just consider that a lot of degrees don't have the material to stretch to the 3,4 or 5 years that the course lasts. You find yourself doing pointless repetitive reports which use methods which are already obsolete but which remain on the curriculum because they're too lazy to update it. And a lot of lecturers are woefully ill-equipped to "teach". Several of my courses the guy teaching was using a "beginners guide to..... " book and just read it out like it was fucking kindergarden. And this idiot was one of the people who was meant to review my final projects?!!???!! He was god-damn idiot!!

I'm bitter because I expected more from the place I went to. If you do go, choose very carefully and don't expect it to be inspiring.

getting my neuroscience degree right now, going to grad school soon

what school are you going to for that? I thought you could only do that as a graduate student

right now i have finished 2 years of college and i still don't know what i want to major in. I'm just working towards a science degree right now, almost all of the courses i've taken will be required by most of the degrees im considering. Right now i'm thinking i'll probably get a BS in biochemistry and then go to grad school to become a neurologist or get some kind of neuroscience degree. I don't know what yet though, I need to do some research and find out what type of neuroscience degrees and careers are available. I just have always been interested in science and especially in the brain so that's probably what I'll do. I'm also considering going to med school. my gpa is high enough so far, i just don't know if i want to wait so long before i start my career, plus i'd have to do a ton of volunteer work and other extra curricular shit just to get accepted so that's a possibility but not likely. plus im not the type of person that is interested in helping people, sorry but it's true, so i would probably be more interested in getting a ms or phd and doing more research type work instead of getting an md and working with patients

...then sometimes i think of making a tv show where i hang out with little kids and play with puppets all day every day. that would be more suited to my child molester style
