Since we can't get politicians to do any gun reforms that would help why not try something that might get passed. .It's these politics that are preventing any common sense gun control. They don't care how many lives are ruined by their lack of gun reform. We know the public is on board with these common sense gun reforms.. A good start would be to bring back mental institutions these dumbasses closed long ago. Mental health is the main reason these continue to happen. If it's not making profits it gets shuttered.

I remember someone posting a video, maybe here, of a YouTube video. It was an elderly Asian naturalized American citizen testifying before congress. Pointing out America does not have a gun problem, but a cultural problem. Great video. Guns have been here as long as us colonizers have been. And mass shooting were not a problem until recently. Recently in historical terms. I firmly believe this is 100% true. The issue has now become...our culture is so rotted, our society in such shambles, that we need stricter laws just to limit the damage. As PATHETIC as that is.
I'm now a big proponent of the idea I first heard from guys in Lynyrd Skynyrd...revolvers, bolt or lever rifles, and shotguns. Not that I don't like semi's or think that they are the problem, but it would cut down the number of children that get murdered in these mass shootings. Which, regardless of what's laws are passed are going to continue for at least a couple more generations.

I remember years ago when the left supported gun legislation in Canada, registering your firearms, was a good thing for who. Criminals don't but their firearms at a frigging gun store. According to Instagram libtards, there have been a minimum of 37 mass shootings so far this month(year) here in the states. A mass shooting being 4 or more victims. Now, as stated, I am pro gun. Grew up both hunting and sport shooting in Alaska. I'm as country as it gets. I am a veteran and I have used....5 different weapons in combat. I've done jobs in Alaska that if you don't have AT LEAST a .44 there is a much higher than average risk that you could die from animal attacks(mostly, but not limited to, bears).

The biggest thing holding a civil war back would be the divide in families and friends. In a war you have to kill the enemy. The enemy will include friends and families. Killing your grandchildren or grandfather is going to leave a mark and be very hard to do.

When you call people stupid you have to be sure you are not being stupid. When most countries are taken over their own military did it. Just like if a USA civil war happens. I actually think the RIGHT will have 75% of the military and the war will be over quickly.

The powers that be have decided that these mass shootings are commonplace so why even bother reporting on them anymore? It's the same bs being reported just in a different location within the USA. Any law that would limit/ban gun use would have no effect. Why not go the other way and put a gun in every person's hands and change the law that would allow anyone to carry and use a gun to protect self/others?. The only people this would affect are law enforcement ego.. This seems to be the only way forward.

That's already the law in Alaska (if you want to carry concealed, you can, no permit required), though not everyone wants to carry a gun, and people who aren't proficient with a firearm, carrying one and using it, is a set-up for more unnecessary deaths.

People here are concerned about getting shot when shopping or if their kids are gonna make it home from school without getting shot. This is a huge issue that started with gen x and has progressively gotten worse with ea new generation.. Criminals have gotten bolder and don't care if they get caught anymore. Jail as a deterrent isn't working.

Crimes of passion rarely take into consideration the consequences. They're crimes of passion, of one sort or another. Riding intense emotion of the moment = wrong people to have a gun, car, or any other weapons at that moment. Fact.

I had an abrupt and very unnerving dream this AM; woke up on a dime, having, in my dream, just received a phone call informing me that my wife had been killed by someone.

Went next door to our room, and there she was.

Took an hour or so to rid myself of the adrenaline and other internal natural stimulants the body produces when a dream state of such force is too close to reality.

To be the family member who gets that call for real, notifying them that whatever they'd thought their family member was up to, ain't happening, that they're dead, and not coming home. No goodbyes, no final hugs, no wishes for a bright future, or dreams coming true. MAN!!

I've had those calls or visits from LEO before, but it was self-inflicted (times several) and involved family who were (mostly) estranged. Still a shocker and one that leaves that deafening silence like you just left a loud concert.

But to get that call in reference to a family member you're accustomed to seeing every day? Man!! Everyody involved (including most LEOs) has their life take a detour that may never get back on the main thoroughfare, and not just the departed.

And yes, we're headed for a civil war at this point in the USA. Alternative 'facts' and mass delusions for political benefit are a part of the heart of that, too. And insensitivity, callousness in general, isolation of persons from any sense of real belonging and community, and more. All primary ingredients for that putrid stew..

I've been a gun owner since age 11, and included some exotic weapons, but this place has lost much respect for .. lots of, and too many things.
