Most farmers have to do a lot of engineering to make stuff work.
Between setting up an electric gate, and whatever all the other stuff involved in farming, farmer's always got to improvise stuff.
Plus there's always little side-shows, like when the Cannabis cat gets fleas and you have to figure out how much CO2 you need to gas the fleas in the mattress.
I would say every year of growing is about the same as a few hands-on college classes, maybe more.

Go to the emergency room or call 911. Your not in your right mind. We all have our problems and life didn't turn out how we wanted it for many of us. Me, I had the world at my fingertips, but fucked it up because of a medical problem that was mentally distressing. I'm in pain a lot of the time, my friends have all moved on and are married, I haven't accomplished much, but I still put one foot in front of the other each day because life is a blessing. I don't know what my future holds, but I'm going to make the best of it, and I hope you'll get into that mind frame as well because I think you have a lot to offer.

I did it my way.
I don't have a high school diploma.
But I have a college diploma.
Until a few months ago my wife was in a similar boat. She had enough credits to graduate HS early and it all seemed good, until the school was all "yeah, about that, no" but she'd already been accepted to college so... she went.
Within the last couple years she asked the head of her old HS about a diploma, and they said yes.
I almost didn't graduate HS because of missing gym credits. Funny thing is, I didn't know I hadn't graduated for several years, so my official graduation date is 3 years after I finished HS. Ah, bureaucracy!

You don't have a fucking chance with that attitude. Lol, you ain't much younger than me and I don't have a degree but I do just fine. Just have to save your pennies, sure I can afford some nicer shit but if it don't make money why would I buy a nice car? I'm happy with my used truck it even makes me money. I'm not rich by any means but I do make over $50k legally and still grow and sell a little bit of weed not too much but a few pounds adds up.
I'm sure I could do better even really I'm probably going to end up doing a lot better in the future as there's always more money to be made just got to hire a few more people with your defeated attitude towards life.
There is always a way to make money you just won't get far working for others.
no shit! i've been a welder for over 30 years, have things i TIG welded in 3 nuclear plants & nearly every chemical plant in this end of country. BUT...have my son going to be an electrician now. look at Craigslist under "skilled" jobs. electricians can go anywhere & find good paying jobs, & they still have functioning unions. thinking about joining him in school & starting our own small company...

How is suicide even an option? I know plenty of people who killed themselves but I just don't understand why.
Just so many things to do, I'd rather walk around the woods hunting squirrel than dwell on bullshit. Probably got to find something fun and stress relieving. Sure some people think I'm mean or crazy but the joy of killing an animal and eating it is great and you don't have to be rich.
Of course I do dream of traveling around the world killing wildlife nothing endangered of course. But an 800lb Russian boar would be epic.

I dropped out of high school then went to college later in life. I was sold on the illusion that "should of just stayed in school".
= Going to college taught me two big things.
1 I learned how to learn. What I use now is stuff I learned out of school. The world is full of books and info if you know how to educate your self you can always advance in anything.
2 College is an industry that sell diplomas. Their marketing is based on the illusion that a diploma will get you a high paying job. As with most marketing most of it is bullshit. They sell way more diplomas then there are high paying jobs for.
That doesn't cut it all the time.

I've worked a lot of crap jobs alongside folks holding 4-7 year diplomas.
That being said I've earned enough credits in the college system to be close to a degree. If I'd focused on a degree, instead of information I wanted, I would definitely have one. Learning publicly accepted indoctrination is easy for me, it's just difficult for me to incorporate it all. There's a LOT of b.s. in the college system, massive indoctrination.
Indoctrination: the process of teaching a person or group to accept a set of beliefs uncritically.
Massive amounts of indoctrination in college, doctors are the epitomy of indoctrinated individuals. They're taught to only accept information from the medical profession. Those who stray and entertain other information are routinely ridiculed, shunned and retaliated against, until they're proven correct. (of course)
You're taught to fully believe the 'facts' being laid before you without question. It's stupid because anyone looking around can find plenty of examples where 'we know this' doesn't completely match with reality. The maths and sciences are the most concrete, and even the sciences teach a lot of "this is what we think we know right now." I'm a lot more comfortable with the "we don't know for sure" in the sciences than I am with the less concrete fields of study. History is a mess and it gets messier the further back you go. lol
My take? Study yourself first, because knowing you will prove the most important information you have to rely on. Expand your awareness and find what you do best in life, what makes you smile while you do it and have your output create happiness in others. Study it, practice it and always strive to do it better. You'll be extremely glad you did so.

This is true, as some one who worked in colleges for over 40 yrs. I can state as FACT that enrollment soars when the economy is bad and folks are out of work!
..... one thing that degree will buy you is a big boost in social status and a lil' bit of HOPE.
