A year ago he stated at the pre-420 party at SeedsDirect that, "in soil your ph range is 6.1-6.6."

You must consider the ph of your water and your water after you add nutes when feeding. In general nutes will decrease ph or increase acidity. Pot plants are acid loving but only to a point.

When mixing a gallon of Earth juice Bloom a couple tablespoons will jerk the ph down to about 4.5 depending on the ph of your water. Some use recirculators to mix and aerate the nute mix for about 24 hours and this reduces the acidity. I do the same by making my gallon of nutes and letting it sit 18-24 hours. Another option is too feed weakly to the point of adjusting ph to about 6.1.

I feed 1-2 times a week and water daily. Since my water is 7.0 ph I find I have little trouble keeping the ph in my pots about right. Without proper ph range your plants cannot get optimal nutrient uptake and if this is the case yields will suffer greatly. Monitor your run off water to check your ph occasionally until you see how you run. Good question stvsdrs. Hope that answers it for you. BOG :)

you feed one to 2 times a week?
bog do you use pureblend bloom and earthjuice at the same time? at the same feeding? or 1 with 1 watering and the other with another watering?

By no means do I want my post to add to or cause the continuance of cyber argument that has been going on in this thread. I would also like to add that I am not trying to start a new argument or provoke an attack upon myself.

I am just wondering out loud after reading those posts.

Why is it that people can take sentence that may or may not be meant to be insulting and automaticly assume it was written with bad intention?

Next they fire off a reply that is certainly meant to offend and then it gets nastier and nastier from there on.

I see this on darn near every website that exists.

Would it hurt just to ask them what they meant to convey to you before flying off the handle?

Alot of cyber enemies have been made when no ill intent was meant in the first place.

Black letters with no emotion to be seen by the reader along with a quick temper are to blame in my humble opinion.

Once again, this is just something I have observed quite often and wonder about.

back on track

back on track

I am glad we are all back on track :)) anyone care to comment on PH adjusters such as ph up or ph down as opposed to just diluting the nutes ?????.....can't get clarification on this point......I just ordered extra air pumps to aerate my nute over night while they "stand":D :) :D  ;)

if your ph is out of range you have to use something. it won't get back to where it's supposed to be by accident. if you're in dirt you can go with the up/down solutions from store. you can also use stuff from home, apple cider vinegar/baking soda or is it powder? .........hmmmm. i've never had to adjust mine and i rarely even check it. no need to if you don't stray from the BOG guidelines. i checked mine a few times (run-off) for the first couple weeks and decided i was wasting my time. i water every time with r/o water and feed once a week. not bad for a first time grower i think. i just kept it simple. don't over-react if there is a problem.

PH

PH

That is basically what I do bbut I was thrown off by Bogs comments about the earth juice bloom and just letting it stand or dilluting it as opposed to doing a PH adjustment.....?????? even after 20 hours its still pretty acid LOL

Ph Adjusting?

Ph Adjusting?

PH up or down is fine by me but I have never used either actually. For PH down Soma uses food grade citric acid and I have used citris but usually people need nothing except finding their feeding schedule and water ph to their advantage. I never use meters or check ph run off because I know my plants and my methods. You will need to do the same as what works for me might not work for you.

Have a look at the harvest bud pile the Giant made. 11.59 oz?

I didn't place my thumb on the scale... I swear. :) BOG

But, does quanity take away the quality? No.

Here is a budshot from that pile taken at random...

Thanks... It was fun!

Thanks... It was fun!

Growing Giant BOG Plants is a hobby many may wish to share and who can blame them? ;) Some say Bogglegum is easy to grow and so just for rookies but what's wrong with easy for even an expert?

The contest is over and Bogglegum is the winner. Try to remember what she can do when you consider a large yielding strain. I know of none that exceed her quality and I am indeed very proud of Bogglegum because she is my baby. :)

Bullet-proof, mold resistant, low odor, high yielding harvests of buds like these. Did I just advertise? Perhaps but it ain't false advertising and that's my point. This demo was just that. My proof that Bogglegum is Great. Can anyone doubt me now? BOG
