Hey all I have been using h&g for my current grow.I am starting week 4 flower and it says to add one satchet of shooting powder to 25 gallons of water but I only mix it up by the gallon... anyone know how much I add to single gallon? Any help appreciated
your probably better off grabbing a different booster, shooting powder is pretty expensive and will burn the calyx's and leave you with overferted harsh nugz, just my 2 cents tho

I disagree.
If you are using H&G then you should use Shooting Powder. I have run multiple experience with and without Shooting Powder when using H&G and it is my finding you actually get a better product, than had you not used it.
It will only burn your plants if your plants can't handle it. If unsure, run a test on one or two plants and compare it to the others. Its the only sure fire way to know for sure.
IMO, H&G should only be fed to plants that have a large appetite (unless you modify the sched). These are my findings anywho.

The only H&G product I've used so far is Magic Green. It says on the bottle that you can use it up to 3 weeks into Flower if I recall correctly. I like Magic Green. If your plants are thriving and looking lush already, MG helps them stay that way. And if you have a nutrient deficiency, MG will help them recover.
I absolutely LOVE Magic Green I've been fighting with Fungus Gnats this round which have given my girls a lil bit of stress and I could see they had a lil issue with nutrient uptake. I hit em with Magic Green and BOOM! Back on track, also the General Organics Bio Roots works similar to Roots Excelurator and much cheaper...

i had questions and issues with h&g and tried to figure shit out, switching up this enzyme and adding that carb etc, totally fucked up my plants, frustrated i called humboldt wholesale at 888-hw-yield , asked for tech support and asked about 10 questions , took about 15 minutes and could have saved me and my plants a shitload of stress. wish i would have just called them first...

Here's the deal though, I planned on using Top Booster at half strength in week 4 which I did and then full in week 5 BUT!!!! I ran outta A&B and had enough to do 5.5ml per gal and I had 3/4 of a sachet of Shooting Powder. Well I didn't think I was going to have money for more base and thought fuck it I'll give them the SP and just top off the rez for 2 weeks and give a flush with Bud XL for the rest of the time LOL
So I gave them the 5.5ml of A&B along with 4ml of Bud XL and 3/4 maybe a lil more of a sachet of Shooting Powder which ended up being only 780ppm for week 5 when I'm on my way to peaking. Well I ended up getting more A&B and I got some MOAB cuz it was cheaper and all I could afford.
I also have Bud Start from Plant Life which is 0-39-25 and that's EXACTLY what the original Shooting Powder from Holland is! So I'm tossed up on what to give them in week 6 and I really don't want to fuck this up since I'm doing pretty good so far for my first run on E&F and I'm counting on this round to give me enough meds to get me to the next harvest which NEVER HAPPENS!
What should I do? Help from experienced H&G users will be GREATLY APPRECIATED

here is a link to my current grow in Coco soil with house and garden Nutrients. I always feed, feed, feed until flush. Only additives I use are Sweet from Botanicare, and just started using Earth Juice. But yeah, check out my grow, pics updated weekly. Blue Dream and Chem91.

This session I'm running H&G coco AB, BudXL, Drip Clean, epsom salts, and KoolBloom Liquid. I would like to have used Root Excel, but ran out of cash. Also the plants seem to be liking early doses of BudXL. 1mL/gal for week1, 2mL/gal for week 2, etc...

I used H&G for the last 3 years and swore by it. Aqua flakes a&b, root excell, drip clean, bud xl,top booster, b'cuzz bloom stim, silica, mag-i-cal, sweet, B-1, M.O.A.B, and a few others. Honestly I got tired of spending 100$/week to feed, and taking a half hour to change my nutes. F that! I came across Heath Robinsons critical mass thread and saw his yield, no one on here gets close to what he yields. He uses Ionic grow/bloom and pk13/14, nothing to it and its 30$USD a gallon. So I got some and switched, I must say I see a huge improvement in root health, leaves are reachin and my room is looking better than it ever did with H&G. I loved H&G before Ionic, Ive tried AN also with horrid results using half strength of connisuer A&B.
No more messing with RO water, Ionic has grow/bloom for tap water. I fill up my 15 gallon res with tap water, dump in about 320ml of bloom, about 60ml for Ionic boost and wah lah I get a perfect PH of 5.8-6 every time. I could throw away my ph pen for this stuff. I will then add a few drops of superthrive, some sweet and thats it. Last for a week and when its low I add tap water. by the end of the week the PH is around 6.6 so I change it. I used to check EC,PH twice a day, now I can leave town for a few days and not have to worry. I dont know what to say besides why waste the money or the time?

WOW! I just read the entire thread. One of the best ever! I am in week 8 of a grow of SSSDH, using the full line of H&G, in the days between the Top Booster and Shooting Powder. The info on this thread on Shooting Powder was really helpful and reassuring.

multi zen and bud xl smell very sweet almost like maple syrup.They smell delicious!
