Impressed @Sensistar42 Honduras completely stole the show in your Violeta x Honduras cross :)
That’s what I was thinking! Only thing that would make you feel like there was Violeta in it is the terpenes from the pck leaning mom on the one. But taking some tester buds off of it and vaping them it feels much stronger then both of them by themselves. A very up but like a pulsating energy to it, trippier feeling then honduras by itself but I think that’s because of the blend of different genetics mixed together. Not a bad first try!

Are they already sexing @Sensistar42 ?
Yes! About 3-4 days ago the slightly bigger honduras sexed as a girl and the smaller one is now sexed as a girl too! 😊 I’ve only had 2 other girls so far. My columbian honduras and one that hermed about 4weeks in twice on me so never finished out.
I hope to get a good Mexican pheno to see if the energetic effects work for me as described. If not this line will be used as a tool for adding anti anxiety dreamy effects to things. Everytime I have it or the cross I made with Violeta, all my anxiety just disappears.

a photo of my 2 honduras that I’m checking out from seed. One is much bigger with branching more like a candelabra type swoop to the branches and the other is tinier with a more 45 degree angle to it.

The way these are looking now, I’m wondering if the smaller more columnar one is the late flowering one with thick pistols, and the yellow looking big one is a Mexican leaning one. I need to lay off the shine(bloom booster) a little bit even though I’m barley using any nutes at the moment I think it’s affecting them. I went with the use the least amount possible this round and to bring it up when they need it. Because it always seems like they are to green by the end and burnt tips before I flush out for the last few weeks.
But could also be the colder temps in my house the past month or so with the heater lower. Sucks not having a separate climate controlled spot. 🤣🤣🤣

lovely tropical sativa traits in early flowering @Sensistar42 give them big shoes, constant warm temps, and correct feeding in the right ph and they reward you with a bountiful harvest!

What ph have you found the best with these tropicals?
I’m usually at 6.4 with everything in coco.
Do tropicals like different ph then usual like ogs that like I bit lower ph compared to others.

Honduras sisters at week 13. The short squat pheno seems much more dense, columnar and sweet floral in profile. The larger is floral like, more like the meat scent. Similar to my other purple pheno. Orient express for reference. 😊

That’s what I was thinking, I’m wondering with the thicker pistils, sweeter profile, and not as many as my last purple Mexican like pheno, that it might be the longer flowering pheno.

In the two times i ran this strain i only had one purple colombian pheno and the rest were definitely mexican leaning. But it did have a sweeter flowery smell to it. Altogether one of the lowest smelling strains during flower ive grown but you cant go wrong no matter what you end up with. Pure head candy, always very enjoyable

That’s what I’ve mostly wanted to find was an energetic Mexican pheno but with the landrace sweet smell. The sweet smell makes me feel really happy and positive.

The other one I had previous was great, but flower/meaty. Not the terps that get mw moving

Impressive development by mid-flowering, @Sensistar42 :giggle: I haven't taken a closer look at the taller one, but both seem to be flowering like the Mexican pheno despite the differences in growth habits and flowering speed.

Honduras Mexican phenos have really uplifting effects without sedation or deterioration, but this strain has never been described as sweet. New Caledonia is a great choice if you are looking for sweet sativas with bright cerebral effects.

Thank you for your input on which way the phenos lean. 😊 it wouldn’t have guess the taller one was Mexican leaning. But that’s my lack of experience with landraces. 🤣🤣

When I meant sweet, I mean like how at the and of getting a whiff or taste there’s a sweeter aspect to it. Like if you tastes a haze or train wreck or anything with the standard lemonine, terpenoline, woody, slightly sweet smell.

But I have been keeping an eye on the New Caledonia line and that will have to be on my list soon after a few seed runs.
Also anothe pic of the tall one, I’ll have to get some better one before their done.

I must say higher heat and close to the led made to top stretch on it, from what I’ve seen you comment on someone else’s sativa around here recently. Was pretty much identical 🤣

Had a chance to sample some early lower buds. I’ve had allergies the past month so couldn’t smell to well but better this week. When picked the shorter pheno had a straight up lilac smell to it with a sweet end to it. Giving it a few days to dry out it ended up as floral, but with a sweet mint to the back end. Similar to the violeta x honduras I liked that I made. I liked that profile a lot.

And the bigger pheno was earthy/a little wood to it. Similar to the other v x h I had going. It’s not bad relaxing but not as happy as the other shorter pheno that seems more heady intense and some happy energy behind it.

Having similar profiles before I know I would prefer the shorter pheno and will run that one again next round.
