How’s the Athens silvered haze going so far?
just seedlings...all up looking tallish..I was sent Athens SH fems too..
I felt the need to see what SSH might do to it

Also how can you stabilize an S1 , it's as close as you will ever get want to the clone used( Grateful Casey S1 I offer, SSSDH S1 I offer) and several other S1's, there nothing to stabilize, that would just be working towards a certain pheno , and the S1 is the winning pheno selfed.

People want to grab the hybrids or S1's of the special clone/plant we make into Feminized seeds , not bx's.

This is not consistent with my overall experience. A lot of S1 that I've been growing over the years dont have much in common with the selfed mother plant.
As a matter of fact my first selfing project was Agent Orange, a girl that had the distinct Orange peel smell. The S1 plants from it had this smell to some degree but mixed with different, unwanted kinds of nuances and this wasn't enough to compensate for the lost mother plant. Luckily I made seeds with that plant and one of its male siblings and also with combinations of them both and some Cookie Wreck plants. The 100% Orange peel phenotypes came back to me in generations of the cross of the male Agent Orange with a Cookie Wreck girl. Maybe the genes in S1 generations are the closest to the parent plant but the expressions probably aren't. This is consistent with S1s I grew of things like UK Cheese and Bubblegum.

. The stuff that smells like a fresh opened bottle of Heineken or Becks beer, that made red eyes and giggly and so stoned.
So, if you can relate to those two smell and effect profiles I'm all ears.

The skunk bar is extremely low around here.. Heineken barely has any skunk after a day in the sun.

Every plant you grow should at least be "skunked beer" level of skunky, and Heineken barely registers. Find a new fertilizer.

With Ace, the description on the website is always corresponds with reality. There also is a very vibrant forum in this site where the breeder very often is part of the discussion. For me, that makes growing the strains much more interesting.

If you want easy to grow knock out weed, you could also just get some Sensi Star from Paradise or Aurora Indica from Nirvana. They will be available in all seeds shops in Adam.
Aurora Indica, the most bullshit strain I grew. Total garbage.

I don't know what to tell you , I've found the opposite, and closest to a clone easier with the S1 ive run, not saying every pheno is identical but to me was easier to find with 5 Feminized seeds instead of any hybrid with another strain/phenotype.
More parents more offspring.

Certain strains are dominant, and some recessive, it's all individual.

How was Kali mist in terms of effects? I don't like sativas that make you feel like you had too much coffee, and/or make you paranoid. Was it like that or just happy-giggly kind of sativa?
I didn´t grow it very well, so I do not think my opinion is something you should count on. I found it a up high, a little bit nervous. I did not grow it twice.
My favourite "sativa" so far is Ace Panama x Bangi Haze. It has a little bit indica in it from the Bangi Haze parent. 11 weeks. Very uplifting, no anxiety or paranoia, slightly psychedelic. Very active, functional high. Great for social activities. And, my absolute favorite for interacting with nature. Trekking etc.

Ultimately, the consumer is responsible for what vendors offer. More people want to buy hype names pulled out of a giant cloud of reversed pollen than want to buy properly bred, reliable strains. The market will change as cannabis comes out of the shadows. If you go to the nursery to buy a tomato plant, you aren't faced with 300 unstable poly-hybrids, you get a predictable plant that suits your liking. What passes for cannabis breeding now won't work for much longer.

I've read a lot of stuff on this forum and don't think I've heard more than a couple mentions of creating two properly selected IBLs and then crossing those to produce reliable, vigorous F1s. That's a pretty basic concept in plant breeding, at least outside of the cannabis world.

Of course, my account here on icmag is new, so I guess that just means I'm trolling.

That´s like the Panama x Bangi Haze I mentioned. 10th gen Panama crossed with 8th gen Bangi Haze.
