I'd set a trap for the motherfuckers and take them to an abandoned cellar blindfolded in the middle of noware with those doggs. I know some good people depending on how you know them its not who you know its how you know them.. And I's get my shit back unless it had been sold....

My dog does a job.It guards my Family and our belongings. That is why I pay for its food.

A good guard dog is better and safer in a home then a gun.

And I am really sorry but I have to say that the above post I quoted is fucking ignorant.

YOU should make your kids gaurd your shit....since you feed em' and everything. I think that sounds just as ridiculous and hmm, well..."ignorant" as your dog doing it. That's just me...I did ask a question and it's cool if we disagree, but what I said wasn't ignorant. In fact, there are a whole lot of people that feel the way I do about animals. We protect THEM, not the other way around. There's nothing ignorant about that at all....in fact, I think one of the nicest qualities in a person is how much they care about the safety of the lives they love. ALL life actually.

Pistol grip shotgun. Best home defence you can get. Short enough to take aim in small hallways. If your confident w/ your aim go with slugs otherwise use buck. Only thing i love about the state where i live. If you break into my property i got the right to cap you full of lead. Not to long ago a homeowner chased a robber down the street and finished him off. The homeowner was never charged.

I set my money on a trappingdevice as mentioned, the death from the ceiling.
Stabbing him good with broken bottles or a just an array of long, thin steelpins as they use in knitting. Smeared with love and care.
Or just a net. Then a serie of fireext.sets off and chokes the thieving bastard.
U can also use ammonia or something nasty.

If someone broke into my house and stole half a k of meds from me..I would XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXX XXXXXX or nailclipper, XXXXXXXXXX XXxXdepending on the amount missing, or if not caught, I would arrange it so that every poor sap that tries this again,(I'll bet his a familiar of,or he may even BE the asshole from the first time) will be reported missing or get found at a footballfield, loaded with LSD and some horrible wounds and infections.
But seriously, what I find scary, is that most burglars know the risk, theres alot of insane homeowners out there, and they know that alot of people are willing to kill them with a spoon or some rusty instrument if they are caught with their dead grandmas wedding-jewlery or his Rolex or the keys to his mercedes..by the guy in a bathrobe at 04 at night..
They are naturally jumpy while knowing this terrible workconditions, so if they got a gun they will kill you without a doubt.

So if its my choice and up to my reason, I dont risk my life to catch some lowlife in the dark with a gun, when i got machines working for me, trapping the asshole and gassing him\ending his sorry life in some shockingly entertaining way.
(Copy of carnage sendt to his adress or relatives)

Can U claim the same thing to the cops as the one who chased a robber down the street and capped his ass from the back(I expect) in clean SS 1943-style?
I mean, can i show the cops the corpse of a thief, with wounds and COD carbondioxidepoisoning, delivered in a net of thin kevlar?
If I got the whole thing on tape to show that he entered MY house and stepped on MY DIY landmine and landed on MY nails for being caught of MY pneum.trapping device, inhaling MY precious, expensive gass and took the liberty of defficating and urinating on the floor when he made sure that all the gass was dried out?
"Look officer, he even tore some of my net, and who is gonna pay for the new fireext.?"
Thats the same thing as shooting him? Or?

Well it's not really the firearms user that puts it all over the news, it's the news agencies that have installed a private sewage slew into most peoples homes via the TV. I do agree with the gun points in part though, if you don't already own one and haven't used one too much before, chances are something will mess up in the heat of the moment.

Don't worry about all this 'bad rep' business, you do whatever you feel you need to protect you and your family. I'm not really concerned with what people think about MJ, it's entirely up to them what goes on in their own minds. They'll just think whatever they are told anyway so we might as well hurry up and get our MJ use out in the open so they are then the minority. The more actual contact they have with it instead of selective media bombardment, the faster their false fears will be demystified.

I'd be thinking about getting some dogs like the other guys have suggested... You'll know well in advance if you need to get into action.

Take care

Fair enough...but if I may make a suggestion anyone without firearms experiences looking to purchase one for home defense....

Handguns are a bad idea for home defense any way you look at it, as even an experienced firearm user will have some serious issues hitting his target(s) at 3am after being roused from sleep in a dark house.

However...a cheap 12 gauge (Mossy 500's are under $300 at wally world, or were last I checked) loaded with 00 buck is ideal for this purpose. Aim for center mass and make absolutely sure before you load up that gun and prepare for the worst that you are ready to kill someone with it. None of this "rack it to scare the guy off" shit, guns are designed for a single purpose, and that is to KILL. God knows that any person who isn't a sociopath does not want to kill anyone, even someone who is threatening them or their family (or their livelihood), but you need to be sure that you are ready to do the deed if it comes to that. Like I said, life isn't an action movie.

The business I run is very cash-rich and I have a CCW permit with a Kimber .40 in the small of my back, and will absolutely use it if my life or the lives of my employees is threatened. But I certainly don't want it to happen, nor am I certain how I would react in the heat of the moment because my experience is limited to years of range- and forest-plinking.

Just trying to be realistic so nobody has any surprises.

I swapped my external doors in for security doors that look normal but have a steel core and deadbolts that go up and down as well as the one by the handle. I also put smash film on all my windows and alarmed them, so even if somebody wants to spend the 10 minutes getting past the film, the alarm will have made them look bad.

this method has allowed me to use countryside houses which i left alone for weeks at a time. I used a simple GSM alarm that warned me of what was going on and the local security company would send a car.

my growroom also had a security door that would take a few hours to get through had somebody actually made it into the house, and was hidden well enough where it would not be found by a casual burgler/police/alarm company staff.

these precautions only cost about 3 grand per house

These doors mentioned, is that deadbolt-doors? Or is some good lining\preferably concrete walls surrounding it,necesary anyho?
Im looking for url's\webshops that delivers entire solutions in the "saferoom" business.
Expecially the part of hiding the entrance after activating it.
