Thanks Hombre,

So you are "on agricultural water", I'll never have that on my property, I'll just have plants in pots. I am moving to Murcia, right between the sea and the province capital.

I had a podenco for years but now I am coming with my greyhound-whippet crosses.

So, today I managed to finally sex the Zamal x JBM/Thai A5 haze. Two girls and one boy.

The extra girl I'll hang on to for a week, just in case of slugs and I'll cull the boy.

Here's the chosen one

she's a really nice compact plant.

This morning when I went out to check the other girls I was happy to find no further damage but was a little saddened to see dead snails. I struggle killing anything, but in this case it's "needs must" i'm afraid.

A handful or so of crushed charcoal and ash sprinkled in an unbroken ring two or three inches from the base is what I do to deter slugs and snails. Apparently they don't like to crawl over it as it is sharp and dry on their feet. Works a treat but may need to be reapplied if it rains heavily.

So, this morning update.

No more snail damage I'm pleased to report. The pellets I used certainly seem to have done their job, albeit if its a little sad. Certainly for next year I'll be prepared.
Wood ash and charcoal are abundant here in the winter, as we all have log burners in our homes, but at this time of year we've all finished for the year and cleaned them out. Sheep's wool shouldn't be a problem either.

The unreasonable rainy weather seems to have finally finished and we're back to our 30+c that we expect at this time of year, so I doubt that they be many more molluscs about.

Pictures.

First we have 5 little baby hazes. 4 icmag haze and one Green haze A5 fem.

It's interesting to note that at this stage in life the icmag has much thinner first leaves.

A male Destroyer from the 2003 lot.

An hour ago he was twice a fan but I've just chipped the last 5 nodes off. He was getting tall already.
I'll let him grow a while before making some cuttings that I'll hopefully force flower and make some pollen

Ok, I'm back again.

And with a warning to anyone who might be thinking of cobbing Golden Tiger.

Don't do it if you want to sleep during siesta!. I had a lovely hour and a half space out, but no sleep.🙂 it really is some strong dope!.

Back to plants.

As you can see, she's already being trained to grow outwards and low to the ground.

And the last of the girls for now.

I decided against replacing her (for now at least). She lost two sets of leaves at the bottom of the plant but otherwise is good. I'll give her a few more days and see how she does once the roots get going.

Those are going to be some good medicine! Great strains/hybrids there! Thanks for the tip, yeah, sometimes herb will keep you up, sometimes it puts you out. I just got my nap during lunch!
I've enjoyed a siesta for many years despite not being Spanish, but now that I'm retired and living in Southern Spain, I feel fully vindicated in my afternoon sleep.

Salt would work but it also will kill plant by dehydration. I once used it to kill a tree next door to where we lived the uk. The house next door was vacant but had a huge conifer growing in the garden, taking all our light. I put a couple of lbs of salt around the base. Six months later it was dying and the new owners removed it. Job Done!

Sorry Captain, please excuse my ignorance.

Welcome to Icmag and more particularly, Hombres Garden. I think you'll find 3 years of GT grows in here but for the best info check out the Golden Tiger Thread in Ace's forum
I’m loving the strains you’re growing and was thinking about the snails. I bet that a ring of salt would stop them from getting near your plants. CL🍀

Oh yeah I didn’t even think about it getting wet and poisoning the ground. My mistake I guess I should’ve thought that through. Oops 😬 CL🍀
