Meanwhile back on earth.. Reality beckons. I mean, that’s sweet that you have your views. But, why in the hell would you step into a thread like this and start with your diatribe about what YOU think life should be?

i'll be glad to discuss this further with you when you pull your head outta your ass and read the rest of what i said.

EDIT: p.s. your comment suggests to me that you support violence against you and yours. time to stop and think buddy.

sorry pal, but who are you to say his views are "wrong" and further more, who are you to say that peace is unrealistic. I can't believe I work along side some of these people.....please go somewhere else. you make it hard for anything to get accomplished.

Ok, show me one time that peace has worked.. In the whole of human existence has there ever been peace? Never, and there won’t be for 100’s if not 1,000’s of years. It’s like asking leopard to change its spots. It’s part of the human ‘struggle’.

So, you can have your dream of peace and all that. You can get your panties in a bunch over the fact that she said three letters T H C then got popped in the mouth. BFD if you want to change the world you might want to try someplace else.

MSDTDS,
well in so far as we all want our individuality and the safety of being one of a group, the common denominator being the failure to reconcile the difference, I guess that is what it has always lead to. However given that the only constant is change, that may not always be so.

Well buddy, I am sorry you think that violence is a neccasary fixture in the way we live. I wish that all the ignorant and stubborn people who think this is true could see that we, as humans are given the oppurtunity to rationalize and make decisions. Why people would choose to cross the line and hurt someone else is beyond me.

msdtds said it
"if you've never had to experiance someone maliciously hurting you or someone you love, than you are living in an ignorant bliss, and it saddens me that you'll have to learn this lesson the hard way." and thats true. I hope you realize I'm not just typing all this because I have nothing better to do, it because I hope someone will realize you have a choice as to how you act, react, and think. impulsive violence is a disease.

Word History: Listening to a lengthy diatribe may seem like a waste of time, an attitude for which there is some etymological justification. The Greek word diatrib, the ultimate source of our word, is derived from the verb diatrbein, made up of the prefix dia-, “completely,” and trbein, “to rub,” “to wear away, spend, or waste time,” “to be busy.” The verb diatrbein meant “to rub hard,” “to spend or waste time,” and the noun diatrib meant “wearing away of time, amusement, serious occupation, study,” as well as “discourse, short ethical treatise or lecture, debate, argument.” It is the serious occupation of time in discourse, lecture, and debate that gave us the first use of diatribe recorded in English (1581), in the now archaic sense “discourse, critical dissertation.” The critical element of this kind of diatribe must often have been uppermost, explaining the origin of the current sense of diatribe, “a bitter criticism.”

Yea, you're a little bitter. LOL

alright, if you want me to prove you wrong i will..
to quote you...
"The critical element of this kind of diatribe must often have been uppermost"
and then if you look one like above all that stuff you posted, you'll find the definition (you know, the thing I told you to look up so you know what it means).
"A bitter, abusive denunciation." – its from the same web site you took that word history from. I guess you just missed it?

i was neither bitter, nor abusive.
if you think hoping for better is being bitter and abusive, then your definitions are too confused for me to even try to argue you.

There's always the other use of the term diatribe.
A group of people who like to fight amongst themselves therefore making their future dire: diatribe.
What the hell this thread has decayed to the point that nothing in it can be taken seriously anymore and it should just be locked and forgotten.

Did I say "I don't understand you?". I just don’t think this is the place for you to make wishes.. Try a fountain. While you're at it wish for a sence of humor and a spine.

look. if you read everything I've ever posted on this website you will see that, not only have I never denied that our world is filled with violence but you will also see that I have made it a point to prove that to some people. It is easy to type one line back to someone because your clearly not open for and other ideas. What I DID say is that in this world full of violence we are given a choice as to how we act towards and react towards others. I'm not making anything personal by calling you a fool, you know man, I actually gave you a great suggestion, a piece of advice a wise dude said to me once and I listened, and its taken me very far. and that is. You've got to try and see, just a little bit furthur. think about what I'm saying before you reply and call me or someone else a fool, because for all you know, we may know each other some how, or if we got to know each other on a personal level we might like each other. but realize this, I've not acted foolish in any way, and I would appreciate it if you would just let mine and couple other polite and positive peoples words attempt to sway your narrow minded judgement. This thread is gutter trash...

See, this is what I don't understand. You use the example of someone hurting someone you love but you can't understand how fighting to protect them or yourself is valid. Can't you see the problem with that? You know, fight fire with fire? How are you going to stop someone from hurting you or someone you love? Give them a hug? Make a wish?

Of course we have a 'choice'. I choose to laugh and play it again. You choose to have a problem with that. I say you have a problem with the world.. You don’t get it..

fighting fire with fire just makes it burn hotter pal. I get it, I just choose not to engage in it. thats all. its sick that you find humour in rewatching this video. and well to an extent. I DO have a problem with the world. there is alot that is messed up right now and you would rather sit in your bubble of things you surround yourself that make you oblivious to the realitys, dangers, sorrows, and sadness that make our world a place I have a problem with.

and do you remember me saying, what if that teacher was your sister or mother? ok. well you punch me, my friend punchs you for that, then two of your friends come and attack both me and my friend, etc and so forth.....tell me where that ends. I choose to laugh and not perpetuate someone elses pain. you are painting yourself as an awfully careless and rude person.

Do you need a tissue? Are you ok? You're kind of going around in circles. Now you’re mad about people being hurt..\

Didn't you just say 'Well buddy, I am sorry you think that violence is a neccasary fixture in the way we live.'

and now.. 'there is alot that is messed up right now and you would rather sit in your bubble of things you surround yourself that make you oblivious to the realitys, dangers, sorrows, and sadness that make our world a place I have a problem with.'
