For my smaller pheno runs, where I run smaller plants generally.
I have benches I made for the room perimeter.
All new plants(shorties)go to the benches.
In the middle of the room I have the taller flowering plants on cheap 4 wheel dollies.
I keep all plant spread evenly, just roll them aside for water and maintenance.
Don't need to free space for a walk way.
FYI room is 11x12x9.5'

now that's an idea! father earth does something similar but all his raised beds are on wheels so he can roll them around and get to the beds in the back. rolling platforms.

I was thinking like this: ^ going up but I like his idea better with the shelves and the roll away platforms.

if you put them on rolling platforms and didn't bother making a sub flooring that would save some money possibly and the only thing I could think of is the concrete absorbing heat in the grow room and then releasing it at night time. like heat exchange. works in the green houses. can't you paint concrete floors? titanium white looks nice I hear :biglaugh:

Boom goes the dynamite lol..... Thats a great idea SG it would work great with my "wants" med-lg. plants with monsters in the middle, just gotta add a little ramp at the door so I can wheel em right on out

LLB the sub floor comes with no extra cost in fact it will help me use some material that would go to waste, where I have a portable lumber mill, wood is never a prob.
other pros of the floor are of coarse getting them of the cold floor, a place to run multi intake vents spreading them out. but the painted floor is nice as well

Ahh, so youre going with an SG1 intake floor? Taking any special precautions to protect the wood?

yes I liked the idea been toying with it for years and seeing it in action in a bigger application than a cab is inspiring, as far as protection I dont want to paint or stain... the ply wood I'm using is past its prime but great for a floor. I will lay out the trusses/jousts/stringers what have you on top of a layer of poly, put in the 6" ducting another layer of poly then ply wood, now another layer of poly or I might find some rubber membrane used in roofing. But all will be removable/replacable.....................at leased thats the plan lol

I have a double floor since this is an outdoor building and needs to be regulatory for temps.
6" subfloor - R21 batting, 1/2" cdx plywood.
Framing on top of that with the 2x6 framing forming vent raceways with 12 terminal ends to floor registers.
All lumber is just swept clean and all raceways caulked and sealed.
3/4 cdx plywood over the framing with caulking on raceway framing.

Cdx can get wet and dry for years against accidental spills.
Use screws and have replacement capability if needed.
Keep trays under your pots, minimize spills, other wise broom clean occasionally.
Double floor keeps pots at an exceptable temp.
On cement slabs, this framing method is great for hot areas.
Cement pre-cools air before entering the space, free cool air = priceless.

So I take it you know your way around a nail and hammer as well lol. :tiphat:

An out building grow room is something that I'd been planing since I build portable buildings or "sheds" (far more solid than those sheds one would buy at the HD) to supplement income, the reason for the Wood Miezer (mill)

I want to take a 10 x 16 and attach a trailer/camper frame underneath making it portable so I can move around the yard to shade or sun when needed.

of coarse the unit will have the amenities of ones in a house heat, ac, water/power supply ect..

This will be set in motion this up coming spring.
As the laws move forward so shall I, might as well be prepared.:smoker:

My flower house is 12 x 32' outside dimensions.
Inside is 2 separate 11 x 12' flower rooms.
Also a, 7 x 11 lung/tea brewer/amendment/storage area.

All built on a deck framing with posts and beams.
It can be jacked up and moved if needed.
This keeps it from costing me extra property taxes for land improvements, since considered movable.
Not supposed to have power, but ain't illegal unless you get caught.

And yes, I'm a builder, built my house from form to finish, though I prefer to contract the electrical and HVAC, insurance won't insure the house unless licensed elec + HVAC contractors do it.
I can frame and pour foundations, stick frame the old fashion way, with no trusses.
I can plumb, insulate, drywall hang and finish, paint, install cabinets.
Hardwood floors, or faux wood, can carpet but with the bad knees, I don't anymore.
You name it, done it.
Talented eh?

LOL thought the same thing.

trades men of a feather flock together.

I'm the same. Jack of all trades....

I going for a large service to the out building, gonna have it cam in to a service on an already existing building carried to by a heavy duty lead line 4 oht (same lead line used with the lg. diesel gens) never going to need it but nice to have. And this way if "Who ever" came to evaluate the property the lead can easily be rolled up and put away or hidden.

I'll be glad when This room is done, barley get to work on it on the weekends.
Doesn't help I make more side work for myself lol.

The plan once the room is done is to do some hunting, breeding on the side but first things first got to get my stable up to par.

As of right now they are mounted in the room and awaiting to do their first run with me.
And of coarse after a long wk end finishing the room I took pics..... then lost the memory card after filling the un used room with all my supplies. so as soon as I find it I will share my progress

ya i figured as much about the hi-K's
and yes thats a good Idea about putting them in the big room but my thought is this.... Nothing is ready to flower it will be at leased 2-4 weeks before I feel the need to turn on the 400's, already got the cabs blasting away and only half full. I think with the HO's and a MH, things should speed up a lil. got plenty of room for the girls and wouldnt mind them being 3' before the switch.
And thanks yall, its just great i can run things by others with experience instead of going back and forth in my head lol

You have the mh bulbs so why not let them finish vegging under the 400s? That will really speed things up for you.

Then flip - Bammo! You don't have to move them and can have plenty vegging for the next round.

lol yeah, I was just thinking of turning a light on and putting some Khalisi, bs kush and NYC x Freak in there.
It would speed things up a bit and I'd be able to dial the room in.
Probably set it in motion this weeks end where I still want to do/add a couple of things to finish 110%.

Its really setting in that to do this right one will never be done. hahaha

bs kush harvest time..

bs kush harvest time..

Here she is in all her bag seed glory.
I've runned enough bag seed to know when theres one to keep for a while and she checks most of the boxes for me, easy to grow, she didnt fuss once lol.
Vigorous as hell, cloned great, buds developed nicely with a strong scent of dark roast coffee with a fuely skunk back ground that hopefully is there once cured.
She made great use of the 1 sq. ft of room she had with the spot against the end of the cab where there is less light is.

bs kush @ 9 wks

She puts out the frost as well.
I knocked a couple of her lower branches up from the Khalisi pollen I collected, might pop some of those soon to get an idea of what they might entail.
