Hello, what should my Ec in soil be after I flush. Im 2 weeks away from harvest been feeding nothing but water and my ec was 2.5. I felt it was to high so I flushed again until it read 1.5. I got 2 weeks to go and am feeding only water. should I flush again or is this sufficient? thanks

How would I upload pictures straight from my phone? Maybe you could just tell me how you do it on yours and I could figure it out on mine. I'm pretty techno savvy.

What is up? Looks like I will be one of the 3 Mods helping out around the house.

My name is Von and I am one of the Mods in the Organic soil forum. I have been growing for sometime now and all of my experience comes in the soil area. I grew for many years in soil before becoming an Organic freak. LOL

So, If you have any questions or suggestions for the betterment of the forum let one of us know.

The other 2 gentlemen will be along shortly. They are great people and have a great amount of experience in growing also.

See you all on the boards.:wave::wave::wave::wave::wave::wave::wave::wave::wave:

Sweet, congrats! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, who also knows A LOT. Folks in this sub-forum are lucky to have ya' :)

I grow indoors and outdors in soil, also have experience regarding growroom wiring and design. I will try to help in any thread I can.
Also, if you need my help feel free to ask it.

Happy growing! :tiphat:

, sounds like you have much to offer. I'm sure you three will workout like gang busters :)

question: was this sub-forum mod-less prior to the three of you becoming mods in this sub-forum?

Yes it was. Not that it needed much Modding. These people are all fine members and have no problems in this forum that I can see at this time.

I would like to introduce Spurr he is one of the most informative and helpful members that you could possibly want to meet. He has a wide range of knowledge in the soil area and could answer all of your questions much better than I ever could.

Although, some one as dumb as me has to read the information he posts several times. LOL

Thanks for stopping by Spurr. It is good to see you posting again.

Did I post my question in the wrong place? Im sorry if I did.

Sorry for the delay in answering.

I do not measure those things. I work with a living organic soil. So, I do not need those things. I do not even use a PH pen.

But lots of growers do. Maybe some one who does will be along.

You might want to shoot Spurr a message as he is into those things.

Good Luck.

According to his senior year book he's "thin but fun" which was an odd entry all in all.

Ok here are a few very noobish questions I have to ask.

I am growing in All-Mix with biobizz schedule. For years it worked for me, but not to a 100% result. I am now reconsidering my watering methods.

What % of water coming from under the pots would you consider optimal when feeding them plants?

What % of water coming from the same place would be considered optimal when just watering them?

Given optimal conditions (25-26 c 40-60 humidity, 600 hps ~60-80 cm away from canopy) how often would it be optimal to water? I am now trying to reach every third day mark. Does that sound good?

When dealing with a new strain, does it sound optimal to alternate my feed, water like this: feed>water>feed>water>feed>water when using bio-bizz schedule.

I am trying to reach a perfect mark when using bio-bizz first, before moving to everything selfmixed, wormbin, composting,acts...

any other tips?

thanks in advance!

Thanks guys.

Well its 97 degrees in my tent with two 150 w LED Bars. I ran outta cash for a good intake fan, but opened up the flap to the right of the tent and put my cheap osculating fan that only blows across the bottoms of the pots. At first it dropped 6 degrees, but its been so hot coming from mother nature so it has jumped back up to 97 again.

I have trimmed fan leaves off as iv read this can help some in the defoliation thread, plus i believe it will help my lights penetrate better. The plants will look bad after 2 days, but with just a bit of water they perk up great, but im only 6 days into flower. I do open the tent for about 2 or 3 hours a day, but must run my lights at 2pm on and 2am off. I dont want to run this time but im limited and must run at this time. I understand i should have a proper fan, but it will not happen till October.

Can i use a spray bottle to cool them down as my LEDs rock, but are not really hot at all. My tent is 2'x4'x5'. What about freezing gallon jugs of water and put them behind the fan, which would put them outside the tent? Just brain storming.

Thanks for anything guys!

have you tried using an exhaust rather than an intake? it's usually more efficient. and i hope no light leaches inside the grow area by passing between the fan blades.
