Been out and about - up to the Kaosan Road in Banglampoo - and back along the river today - in a Thai Longtail boat -
- 40 years ago - when I first came here The Kaosan Road was where I used to score great Thai weed - at the V.S. Guest House - 100 Baht would get me a small packet of Thai sensimilla - around 5 grams back then - and that whole area was known as the hippy/back-packers area - where you would stay for a coupla days before venturing out into the rest of Thailand -
Nowadays - there must be 10 or more 'erb shops on that road - where you can legally buy 'erb - wholesale or retail - so no more paranoia - which is nice -

Well - if you really want to advance - as a student of coconutology - I could offer you a free months stay (during harvest time) - on my 6 hectare beachfront - Sulu Sea facing coconut farm - on Palawan - I've got 700 coconut trees there - that need harvesting - 3-4 times per year - so you'll be busy - and learn how to harvest and dry the coconut meat - make charcoal (Uling) - from the husk - comes with the perk of free as much as you can drink coconut water/juice - you can learn how to climb coconut trees too -

Looks like what we useta pick up as kids up by Bash Bish Falls: Slag. Back in the 40's it was so common that we would try to skim the pieces across the water. From the pictures I can now see of the area... Jeez. City. With macadam where we useta walk on a dirt path just loaded with shiny blue stones.
