Stop dude... Your setting the bar way to high.

Awesome....

This is my next adventure. I will be going through your thread for pointers, as you seem to know what is going on. I may ask a question or 10.

when i was growing outdoors in CA i had to employ some violent demonstrations with those little green caterpillars that chomp the stem in the top buds and invite botrytis in. those little jerks cost me 1/2 my harvest the first year!

edit: Just read the rest of the post n u mentioned predator wasps, lol!

If you release Trichogramma, tiny predator wasps, every two weeks from week two flower on, or when you see all the moths come out and breed, it gets rid of them worms, at least it works for me. They used to ravage my stuff n since I been releasing the wasps I haven't seen a single one on my outdo for like the last 3-4 years. It might not be kind to one species, but at the same time its benefiting another.

edit 2: I didnt mean to put the first edit in the quotes... I may be higher than i thought. cherry pie X raspberry lemonade wax got me on!

it's a 10 ton DAKE pneumatic shop press. i got 3" x 5" platens.

10t = 20,000 lbs pressure

3" x 5" platens = 15 square inches maximum packet size

20,000 lbs/ 15 sq in = 1333 psi minimum when fully engaged

the leather came with the plates and it's greyfox's insulation for the ram. it should extend the life of the press. he included a thick rectangle to lay under the bottom platen as well.

the temp is accurate and keeps a very narrow band. it's in celcius so 104 is about 220*F. comes to temp in about 5--6 minutes.

that's a noble mission GGK. enlightenment is just a squish away!

thanks for the wasp tip GM! you know i'm a fan of the bennies. i wish i had known better at the time. iirc i didn't even notice them until they had chomped half the crop. rookie mistake! :biglaugh:

Now where can I purchase one of these here machines heady?

google :smoke:

edit: sorry i don't mean to be rude. blame tax season.

you can find the dake at many online retailers.

the platens are specialty so you can attempt diy, get something made by a fabricator, or try one of the industrious folks making heated platens for the emerging rosin industry, most of them sell through instagram.

mine are from @timewizard_greyfox :tiphat:

yo heady! was wondering how u made your pre press die? Where do you get big pieces of metal like that? I got a family member who will weld things for me, do they carry this kinda stuff at home depot or is it some custom order shtuff? also does the back come off too so the weeds dont get stuck in it?
Also was wondering what made you go with the 3" x 5" as apposed to something bigger, like a 5x5 or 6x6?
I'm thinkin bout making one of them things when i get my money straight n saying good bye to bho for good. As it is I puff wax out a vapor pen all day, Its my own stuff so its purged right, but Id rather cut the whole solvent thing out, especially considering how much i smoke a day its gotta be better for my lungs to mess with the rosin.

When I packaged up the bulk GG#4 x Snowman sent to me by GF, there were 2 lone seeds that were the odd ones out. Both had their exterior shells slighted cracked so I made sure they didn't get mixed into the "good" seeds...

I've started soaking those two lonely beans this evening. You're posts on this line have really encouraged me to seek what lies within. Hopefully, I can do them justice. :respect:

i hope they pop frank! all three ladies we had grew beautiful flowers.

the late bloomer, no. 1, finished even more lovely than either of her sisters! i've had trouble getting a pic to do her flowers justice, but here's a quick snap of what's left in my tester jar for the time being:

i put the stump in a 2 gallon container for revegging and she's got lots of new growth! huzzah!

here's another blessed revegger, ACDC COOKIES no. 6, the 2:1 CBD pheno that tested at over 27% total cannabs. phew!

and a little rosin from her sister no. 4's trim (3.75:1 CBD ratio).

The two seeds spit tails after soaking for about 12 hours. Put them in soil today. Fingers crossed for a female.

Plenty of GG#4 crosses out there these days, but not too many are actually improving upon what the clone is. At least I know the resin potential stays intact. If your ladies are any indication of what the line holds, I'm very excited. Dare I say it is even frostier than GG#4?!!

Boiled it down right quick there! Solid info, Heady. I guess I have nothing left to wait for now, (except maybe sunfire's press)
