It is a lot of money, but inline with others I believe. Castings @ Fedco are $500+ a yard. Nomad is asking a g for his product.

I have been slinging a few sacks @$2 bucks a gallon.
$500 yard. It is good shit too!

If any of you Mainiacs need some We can barter:biggrin:

Those bud shots are jaw dropping heady! Honestly, you set the bar incredibly high. Just wanted to stop by and show some appreciation for the best thread on icmag.

Have you heard any updates on your press plates? I can not wait to see that trim puck you made get the squish haha.

I wish I would have seen this a few months ago. I took that yard and me and Essential split it. However I would have rather got it locally. Hopefully that is the last yard I ever buy, although half of one in the past has lasted us almost 9 months....

Heady: are you using red wigglers and european night crawlers in your bins, or what combo of worms? or Just wigglers?

ugh i'm getting weekly updates from greyfox but it is taking several weeks longer than anticipated! i really want to get back to squishing ASAP. i've got a serious pile of trim accumulating. i washed the stuff that looked appropriate for mechanical separation but i miss my pristine trim rosin.

the worst part is GGK shared a link to a DIY cartridge heater PID controlled rosin plate tutorial, so now i'm pretty confident i could make one myself.

i doubt i coudl do it any nicer than greyfox for much cheaper, however. labor at the metal shop is $80+ an hour, and i'm not in love with the (lack of) attention to detail on my pre-press die.

plus he's making me some flat coils so i can use the controller as a digital enail when i'm not squishing

plus he had the foresight not to take payment until the units are ready to ship. so i am not all insane about my money disappearing for many weeks with nothing to show for it.

my friend ordered a dual ram hardpress over a month ago, paid full price up front, and is still waiting on it. that would make me nuts.

I really wanna build a bigger tea brewer that looks nice...yeah I made my plates with just a drill and some drill bits was easy as could be just need my 10 ton press to get here now and then it's squish time. Really nice being able to do 45g of flower/trim at a time I use to make bho but I prefer the taste you grt from well made drysift/full melt bubble/rosin just a cleaner taste on my pallette, fire stuff man keep it up!

You're plateless and im waiting on a new Dake press. I used the 6 ton with the plates and it worked out ok....the 6 ton is bending and whatnot so its not a perfectly even squish.

Soon, my friend, we will both be a squishin! You should see how much larf/popcorn I have of gg4, sour dubb, berry sour cream, do si dos, ogkb 2.0, etc. Everything is soooooooo damn frosty just beggin to be squished!
