We don’t get many possums or raccoons , Around here-but there’s plenty of groundhogs Also porcupines occasionally
raccoons will toss your place like the feds made a visit...
oppossum will just clean up the mess.
we have groundhogs down here and armadillos will dig your shit up like a tiny backhoe.
i have not encountered a porcupine yet...

I had a coon or coons get into the attic. It tore a piece of wood from the vent out and was using the attic as an inside outhouse. I didnt know until one morning I woke to a stream of coon piss running down my wall at the window. Hot smelly coon piss all over the place! I patched the hole and cleaned everything.

Then they started to just use the roof as a shitter and even got into the chimney. I capped it but they ripped the cap off once already. I trapped a few and relocated them. But when I went out to the trash a few times I have seen up to 12 of them ganged up running around trying to get into trouble in the dark. I think if I relocate a few more that others will just move in and take over right where the others left off.

I am considering making a hat out of one of them to set an example.

Armadillos are creature’s that always have Fascinated me
yeah, they are bizarre.
we were told they are moving north to keep their babies away from a certain ant that was killing them in texas/oklahoma? not sure if its true. but we saw our first one in kansas around 1992. and now they seem to be pretty common up this way.
my dad chased one down and grabbed its tail and it burrowed straight down at an incredible speed while he held on for dear life... amazing tunnel strength and speed.
