I don't actually know what thunk is, but assumed it was Thai x Skunk? Is that the case or does it have haze in it too?

Sub24ox7 looks like you've been busy! I've been popping seeds myself so I know how much labor goes into the constant baby sitting and up potting. And then the picture posting (which is new to me)

Most of my Thunk seeds came up like the bottom 2 you are showing
Some of them took up to one month until they slowly started developing first leaves and entering into mutation stage. During this time with the cotyledons out waiting for first leaves, keep the plant with very little water, almost dry and be patient, some of them take a looong time to show and be ready for long vegetative stage
This plant below was the latest to come up and show sex
Because she was much later than the rest by the time she showed sex, she stayed small, was columnar and had little buds. So I decided to polinize all of her with 2 different Thunk males. Small buds, not many seeds but for myself is good enough
This is mother Thunk

And these are 2 of her babies, Thunk F2 growing normally, I hope buds grow normal too and dont show lack of vigour like mom

Yes I got 1 plant up about a foot tall and these 4 seedlings. 3 of which are stalled at cotyledons. I have popped a LOT of old seed last century that would stall at this stage some with others never coming out of it. I won’t give up on these

Not out of the first batch of 10. 3 really tried, just stalled and then slowly, slowly gave up. Quite a few wet dry cycles. Now out of the second batch of 10 maybe 4 are poking atm will see if they have enough energy to keep on trucking.

I’ve got one of 4 Thunk planted that’s up and looking good to go. Haven’t completely given up on the other 3 but it’s been about two weeks in peat pellets. None of those 3 have peeked above ground. How old are those seeds (15 years plus I guess). I am just getting a 10+ year old Green Old Timers Haze (Tall and long) popping up after the first popped and has been up for days. That ones looking good. The third popped and then petered out almost immediately. 1 of 2 10 plus year Green OTH (Short and fast) is up and the other a no show. 3 of my 4 Train Wreck x THH are up and those must be close to 10 years old. 1 of 2 OTH x Train Wreck 47. My single Seedsman OH is a no so far. Both of my Purple Querkle, but one looks like it’s going to be a slog to survive. All 3 NLH F3’s from what’s supposed to be 1988 F1 stock and those are like.y 10 or so years old as well. So think that’s 13 of 21 so far at a little over two weeks. I’d say not too shabby (better than expected) for mostly 10+ year old seeds.

Oh yeah and both my Purple OTH x Meao Thai F3’s are up and I bet their getting close to 10 years!! 15 of 23. Am completely blown away.

Seems more than a few are having issues either getting empty & opened or even empty closed mailers, plus some been “return to sender” because of bad addresses??

Sorry, I’ve been off thread and traveling for a bit. I did get a package (thank you muchly FP). Started 7 about two weeks ago. They all had hat heads and I accidentally snapped one trying to wrestle the seed coat off. 1 came up and just petered out. Other 5 (should’ve been 6) are looking good.

Got my baseboard heater turned up this time and the second set of thunk f1 are really coming on. Got three more that will make it for sure. Was planting two a container as I wasn’t very hopeful but they are coming up now.

You may want to try lighting up that soil mix with more perlite /vermiculite ...Make sure its light and fluffy

Or even go so far get some light warrior or something so that first root set finds no resistance....know what I mean?

Just for the Thai and hard to start seeds....It make a difference once the seed pops what I was getting@

There may be some kind of mycorrhizal makes sense

I would be first soaking the seed then germinating them in the towel/pepper towel way so that way you could help any seed that needs it be it removing seed case or embryo case that is stuck to root and or seed embryo as they are old seed.

This is my Thunk girl #3
The girl from previous pic and this one were very late and it was cold when they finnished

Finnished like this in the middle of winter, lower buds were more purple but the whole plant purpled up

I crossed her with Ohz and have tried one girl of her progeny I just put this morning on the jar, indoors makes fenotrigo. No purple, no intersex issues and great bug resistance
