Hopefully January, February or March of 2011 I will release to the public PHaze. I sure it will cause controversy, but it is what it is.

Read the whole thread several times since it started, so I'm gonna feel stupid if it's obvious, but what's the P stand for?

Wow Raco, Huge!!

Here's the Ace OTH1 (Pure I believe) on the right. Just starting to flower.

I've got a full pack of Tom Hill Haze and Ace OTH1 (3F x 6M). I've also got a full pack of Sam's Sk1 x Haze and (T) SK1 x Haze. I'd like to sift through a bunch of these over the next few years and see what comes up...

Cheers Haze fans

Hmmm....
Firstly-Raco and Ur Hum;
You have my sincerest admiration for growing a variety that can run
almost six months of 12/12 with no guarantee (from seed) of finishing correctly indoors. It's a tricky thing to grow Pure(ish) tropical sativas under HID lighting, and the more land race and less hybridized the tropical variety is,the more of a PITA it is to grow inside.
Years and years ago, when I was originally running the whole group of (Original,GHS' ""black pack") Super Silver Haze (that my (imo) "picture-perfect indoor Haze" Mom came from,) seeds, looking for a perfect "haze" mom and trying to sort out any variables,I let a couple of those bitches go near 130 days.
As it turned out,at that length,it had been "over-flowered",and it generally lost all flavor and most of the high.
So.... Into the b-bags it went. :D
As it turned out,82-95 days was "peak" for that group-and it's as long,or longer a flower period, than almost anyone growing indoors wants to bother with-at least initially in their growing "career".
They see,I think,"Too many pratfalls,not enough "reward",quick enough",especially when compared to,say,C99,with a 50-55 day finish,eh?
I've found that people who grow for long periods of time seem to gravitate towards extreme sativas as they get really,REALLY comfortable with their ability to read plants and control their environment.
Years back,I first combined Sour Diesel and the above SSH to add a Sour "zest" to the very sharp and almost-picturesque,sandal-woody Haze flavor, and also to see if the Sour Diesel's 77-day flower time and slight indica lineage would shorten the SSH's "just a wee bit too long" flower time. It did, with some SSSDH plants finishing in under 80 days, the majority around day 80. Hazes when grown indoors don't produce copious seed by a long-shot,either,and by adding Sour D to the equation I also bred a haze hybrid that was more amiable to indoor breeding, should the grower wish to inbreed,or out-cross,the SSSDH. "Commercially",it's not easy for a smaller, indoor-based seed company to produce lots of tropical sativa seeds in one shot-and that's why you see a lack of SOLID,yet inexpensive haze hybrids available for purchase-If you do see something "haze" and cheap, one has to seriously consider the Source P1 stock before proceeding. Buying haze hybrids can be a shitshoot. Sam's Haze stock is THE Industry Standard, you cannot ever go wrong with Sam's Hazes. Shanti, next.
This is a really nice thread, and some really nice plants.
Thanks gang!

Cheers!

The pics I posted are (Black Widow x Mullumbimby Madness)

They are both done in under 90 days of 12/12 in dirt, LN1 is even faster. I popped Devil seeds the same time as the first round of LN I did, and some of the LN's finished weeks before some of the Devil, which is an Afghan Skunk hybrid.

LN was listed as having Haze in its genetics. If you put LN buds out with a bunch of different Haze hybs, nobody would be able to tell you what was what. I am hoping Shanti does more work with the MM line, now that LN is starting to get the recognition it deserves. It may be just what it takes to breath new life into some Sativa breeding projects

Thank You for posting the "over-flowered" information. I want to personally try a few Super Silver Haze and Hillbilly HAZE around the days say 85 to 95 now.

Thank You sir for posting within the thread. Everyone can use more Knowledge.

Great Smoke Report via bigherb:

lets take another trip to nyc where there is haze for days and you can have it your way .grown outdoors in nyc once again my heart desires only the best ,im not interested in yield .the frankincense/incense trait is dear to my heart soo i ran 2 hillbilly haze and a nevilles haze

hillbillyhaze#1 chopped 10/14

smell - unique a first experience cucumber /lite mint /slighty sweet /fruity

taste - slighty fruity with the cucumber dominant and lite mint wit a darker tone

effects -it is quite clear and focused but gives a warming feeling then starts to hit you behind the eyes and gives aheavy feeling in the eyes ,quite cerebral but has a relaxing effect that sets in not stoned but mellowed

bud appearance -lite green nugs with brown/dark reddish pistils ,very dense tight nugs the exact opposite of her sister

hillbillyhaze#2 chopped 10/14

smell - dark coffe /citrus almost a orange/lime /spice /moss

taste - citrus dominant / spice /coffe /with a spicy exhale that leaves a lingering taste like haze

effects - almost identical to the other pheno maybe abit more clear motivational /heady cerebral /heaviness in the eyes thats builds to a warming effect throughout the body

appearance - the most exotic sativa ive grown ,you can see through the bud its soo airy ,its reminescent of the pure lumbos in modern colombian thread or BSC Cblack pic (similar clusters of calxyes).golden look when you crack open a nug the calxyes are golden bud leave is dark green ,it forms clusters of calxyes that point out on nugs and its quite rare ive seen this very exotic look ,dark green nugs with browish/reddish pistils

side note

this strain was hardy and quite easy to grow, resistant to bugs/ mold ,i look forward to a future run for the incense pheno

although i got joked on for her appeal ,after they smoke her they were singing another song ,im walkin on the moon .the effects are special a true high not like the indy hybrids of today .i consider this a conessuier smoke and my not suit everyone

nevilles haze chopped 11/7

smell - what heaven smells like i hope lol straight incense

taste - abit spicy dominated by incense extrem incense on the exhale,id smoke this pheno even if it didnt get me high

effects - very aware self consious /almost outer body feeling /surroundings are enhanced along with hearing /strong feeling throughout the boddy /abit racy at times

bud appearance - foxatils on every nug /slim long running colas of frosted haze /golden appeal gorgeous

this is the fruit of the gods ,this nevilles haze pheno was praised this year,im sure experience played a part but this pheno was much more haze dom as oppose to last year which showed more of her NL side .an older uncle said the buds look like thai sticks .this could be sold as nyc haze

comparison of growth

hillbilly out yielded nevilles haze and had almost month earlier finish

comparison of the smoke

hillbilly haze is why i wish i was around back in the days ,its what id imagine /is comparable to reports of certain pure lumbos

nevilles haze is a perfect representation of the haze i grew up on .look at some of my first post bragging about nyc haze (i still do lol),i was knocked abit looked down on . now ive smoked NH and nevil has confirmed his haze was from SAMS
