No one debated that there were higher risk groups, especially those over 74 years of age.
The claim that the youngsters don't get sick or hospitalized was bullshit.

There were around 500 0-1 year olds total that died of Covid 19 in America. It’s statistically insignificant.
The question and claim had to do with infections and hospitalizations. That was what my CDC-sourced graph referred to, in response to your statement earlier.
well, i mean aside from the data (which we do have)
it goes with logic... viruses, afaik, tend to affect the very old and the very young.
but there was data out of china early in 2020 that indicated the very young were more affected, as logic would dictate ...i saw a john campbell video in like february or march of 2020 that indicated the j curve... i know, it's china... but then there were more comprehensive studies done, such as this one published in the lancet:
that demonstrated, pretty coherently, that the j curve exists.
iirc, they found that a newborn baby corresponds roughly to a thirty year old, in terms of ifr. that's pretty substantial, and scary for a new dad that understands the plethora of damages that can occur from a pretty serious youth viral infection.
i've never understood just how the human body handles a lot of the shit we toss at it. it's a miracle that anyone gets out of their twenties..
Mine's had a number of 'corrective measures' taken over the last 33 years; knee surgery (1991), spine surgery (2018), cancer surgery (2021), radiation (2024), etc. And car wrecks, motorcycle wrecks, years of heavy lifting, etc. I pushed this body's limits pretty hard for many years.

Scored a couple of the containers of extra-small raw oysters for the wild rice stuffing/dressing tomorrow.
And we loaded up a bit over 30 pallets when we were in town. That ought to give us at least 3-4 HOT hours of fire.

also , and what were the figures for the so called 'pandemic' period , 20-21, before the roll out of covid injections to pregnant mothers , and infants ? old people were the first to get whacked , and all respiratory illness was criminally and wrongfully diagnosed as covid .
