we're fortunate to have a good governor who made wise choices,and the health department made it easy to get the jab/s

it's easy to get vaccinated here, but only because of the dedication of the medical professionals doing it. our imbecilic governor lee "encourages" folks that want the shot to get it, and if you want to wear a mask you are free to do so. but no mask mandates will he issue, nor does he want businesses to require customers to wear masks, nor companies to require their employees/customers to be vaccinated. basically, you are on your own, no help from TN gov in trying to end this pandemic. he's scared shitless that some right-wing clown will primary him if he takes a stand in trying to help. he is washing his hands like Pontius Pilate..." yeah, it's horrible, but i'm not responsible". hmmmm sounds like another GOP politician i read about a while back, lol. he didn't think HE was responsible for anything either. "yeah, but i'll be gone then..."

it never should have become a political issue

in pre-ABC (age before Chump) it would NOT have been political, i don't believe. EVERYTHING is a "political" issue now (and all politics is local), and we will suffer greatly as a nation as a result. i used to think that the more folks that voted, the better off we were. i still believe it would be true if all voters put honest thought into who they are voting for & WHY, instead of watching tv for their favorite talking head opinion and passing that horseshit along in the voting booth to all our detriment.

I believe the money factor played a big part of America’s success with vaccinating everyone who wanted one in record time. The US government spent somewhere between $300-400 per person to ensure everyone gets jabbed. That includes storage, transportation, labor, etc, etc. I’ve read of different locations in the US that struggled with one thing or another at the beginning, but with that much $$ being thrown at the task, they found a way.

Some large organizers in the US were hiring “travel nurses” and putting on mass vaccinations events and and paying good wages. I’m sure they did well. Large pharmacy chains were also hiring lots of nurses/techs and paying good wages(~$50.00/hour for fulltime temporary RN help). I tried to do both and wasn’t able to find an opportunity i liked. I ended up volunteering a lot at one of the mega events close to where i live, and not even getting lunch provided, lol, but i did receive lots of thank yous.

At the mass event I was helping at, we were averaging 1500-2000 jabs/day with most people receiving their injection within 10-15 minutes of arriving in the parking lot. That includes completing a questionnaire, answering a few questions and completing their vaccination card and completing the computer record keeping. There’s additional time for the recommended observation time of 15-30 minutes, but I don’t believe every place follows that guideline.

That´s very quick indeed! My parents went to the vax center and it took half a day and they had an appointment! But they still had to wait forever... and it took ages to get a parking space too...

Not if you are 5 years old .. You can't enroll any child into school without them being vaccinated. That statement is hogwash. You also cant travel to specific countries without getting some vaccinations.

Except for the fact that the high risk unvaccinated folks are spewing aerosolized droplets upon others, making it no longer just their body and just their choice... Masking contains some of the trajectory of the aerosolized droplets, but doesn't restrict the travel of those droplets 100%.

If I want to dump toxins in the ground, up-stream in the aquafer from your well, but on my property, is that OK with you? Because that's, in analogy, what many anti-vax, anti-mask folks are pretending is acceptable, where personal boundaries are concerned.
