No offense, but I would argue that you don’t get it. These vaccines were not intended to keep individuals from getting covid, but rather to teach the body to defend itself if/when it does get infected with covid. To this extent, most of the vaccines have been found to be incredibly effective. And when large populations become vaccinated, the virus can be stopped because it can no longer get a foothold and reproduce at large. Of course, viruses mutate, and can become more infectious or more lethal in the process. Luckily, thus far, the U.S. vaccines have proven to be highly effective against new mutations. The CDC statistics clearly show that hospitalizations and deaths due to covid are minimal among the vaccinated.

Where I live, we “went back to normal” over a month ago, and no one is trying to impose new restrictions(yet). I understand that some public health people want to renew masks and other mandates in some areas. Considering the U.S. has vaccinated everyone who wants to be vaccinated, I would argue that those protective actions are now pointless, as i would argue that it’s pointless to try and protect people that do not want to be protected. Heck, i’m even tempted to argue that insurers should refuse to pay for covid care for unvaccinated people and hospitals should refuse to treat unvaccinated patients.
Simply stated, the problem will fix itself in time.

That and a virus requires a foothold in a warm body in order to 'mutate' and then have that mutated expression spread through contact, usually with the same species. A vaccine, if effective, prevents this.

What worries me is the required vaccination certificate. Which vaccine will be accepted? If one has had the Sinovac will they be treated differently than if they had Pfizer or J&J? What about if I need to cross a border or take a flight; will they accept my blood work showing antibodies from recovery from infection?

Great, so those of us who can't be vaccinated for medical reasons should just die quietly. Thanks.

None of my business, but what medical reason do you have for not getting vaccinated?
If I couldn’t get vaccinated, i would socially distance and insist that unvaccinated folk around me mask up.

I can't control others. I can pm you, but I'm not giving out unusual medical details on a board I've previously given age sex career details and rough location out on. I'm going to be too easy to pin point.

Actually, I'd rather not give that info out at all. Nothing personal but it's personal. I'm not anti vac, and would take one at this point if I could do so safely. Doctors have said no though.

The number of cases in the US has tripled in the past 2 weeks, with them doubling last week.
Three states have been hit the hardest with this, Texas, Florida, and Missouri, they accounted for 40% of the US cases.
Right on the edge of seeing this explode all over again, the difference being that it is the unvaccinated who are being affected.
83% of the infections are now the delta variant.

For the most part, as it SHOULD have been all along. not withstanding those who can't take the vaccine.

Those who put others at risk by refusing to cooperate with what were SIMPLE fucking requests (masks, limited outings, distancing, hand-washing, hygiene in general), SHOULD have, -all along-, been the primary recipients of the grab-bag virus... Not their elderly neighbors, extended family, etc., etc.

Instead their lunacy made it the gift that kept on giving.

I'll suffer what ever karma for my time & actions on this planet, and I deserve a smack or 2 for some of what I've done in my time here, but I'm WAY fucking tired of watching the scofflaws and Darth Vaders of the world win. W-A-Y!!

I translated this from a Dutch article

A virus that can evade vaccinations can spread more easily, so it has an evolutionary advantage and becomes dominant. That's risky.

This is whats happening right now.Even at the olympics there are cancellations although they're fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile an US attorney is preparing a case against the US government because he got new information from a VAERS whistleblower has info about 45.000 deaths after vaccination.

“45,000 Dead From Covid-19 Vaccines Within 3 Days”, Sparks Lawsuit Against Federal

45,000 people have allegedly died from the Covid-19 vaccine within three days, according to a US whistle-blower, which has sparked a lawsuit against the federal government.

Thomas Renz, an attorney based in Ohio has started a lawsuit against the federal government for covering up the true number of deaths from the Covid-19 vaccines.

According to Renz, a whistle-blower – referred to as Jane Doe – who is an insider and has seen information on the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) allegedly passed on the numbers and relevant information to him.

At an event hosted by Awaken America, Renz said: “We have someone that has sworn under penalty of perjury that there have been at least 45,000 deaths.”

Allegedly, the whistleblower stated that there are around 11 VAERS systems reporting adverse reactions and deaths across the US, and one system alone has allegedly has reported the shocking 45,000 deaths from the Covid jabs.

However, Renz believes that this number is “immensely higher” and is calling for immediate investigations into the VAERS system.

“How many have really died and why are they covering it up?”, Renz told the Awaken America crowd.

In In Europe on June 19th more than 15.000 deaths was reported.

You don't get it.These jabs still don't stop the virus and this virus will find a way to become resistant against those jabs and what that brings is hopefully not what the Belgium virologist Geert Vandenbosche is saying all the time and that is that the virus is becoming more virulent. What these jabs shows is that we don't go back to normal as what they were saying all the time.

Telling a healthcare worker they do not get it, as you repeatedly post "stuff" by those with dubious intent is not a path to credibility.

here’s a link from the CDC that contains the US 7day moving average of US deaths from covid 19:

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...iew/index.html

here’s a link from the CDC that contains cumulative covid19 vaccinated breakthrough hospitalizations and deaths (US)from covid19:

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-1...ugh-cases.html

Both of these links are updated irregularly and the dates do not necessarily align for direct comparisons. I recently began taking semi-weekly screen shots of them so i can track breakthrough deaths due to covid19.(i’m kind of nerdy that way)

Oregon hospitalizations have ticked up.

Strangely, deaths ticked up before hospitalizations.

Will have to wait for some science webcasts to figure it out better.

Looks like it's on its way to becoming an Everywhere (endemic) virus, like Herpes.

Has anybody else had a mild case ?

I believe I had it near the beginning as well as again after having been vaccinated.
Both times the symptoms were very mild.
I tried to get tested the first time but the state health department refused to test me as did my doctor’s office.
I didn’t try to get tested for the breakthrough as it was over very quickly and I didn’t see the point of getting tested.
