impressive. so do you use the original biotabs or guerillas? and what is your dosage of it? and do you water the pk booster compost tea by hand or add it to the reservoir? also, do you adjust ph? and have you tried the system without additional perlite?

Hey Buddy!!

Biotabs:

  • I use the original Biotabs, not the Guerilla version.
  • I use one Biotab for a 5L (1.32 gallon) pot.
  • I use two Biotabs for a 15L (3.9 gallon) pot.
  • After 6-7 weeks, I might add 1/2 or 1/4 of a Biotab - after the first giving.
Compost Tea:

  • I water the compost tea by hand, I wouldn't put it in the reservoir.
  • I use 500ml (1/4 gallon) per plant, as suggested in the manual.
pH:

  • I don't adjust the pH. My tap water has a pH of 7.8-7.9, and I haven't had any issues.
  • I believe microbes will adjust the pH naturally in an organic system.
  • If you do adjust pH, be consistent and use the same pH for every watering.
  • Microbes don't like fluctuations.
Substrate:

  • I use Biobizz Light-Mix as my substrate.
  • It's low in nutrients, making it perfect for the "just add water" Biotab strategy.
  • Light-Mix needs cal-mag, so I add dolomite lime.
Perlite:

  • Biobizz Light-Mix contains 30% perlite out of the box (15L)
  • I add 2 x 10L of perlite, resulting in a 50/50 mix of Light-Mix and perlite.
  • I tried using 30% perlite once, and it wasn't good. The lower branches died, and the stems buckled.
  • You need oxygen in your substrate, especially when it's heavily saturated (it is 100% all the time).

I prefer an autopot with a pump, I don't want unpleasant experiences and worries such as water losses.

Growing in coco doesn't appeal to me, so I don't think I'll ever grow in something like that, but 50% perlite 50% soiI would try :D

Update!! Flowering day 21!

Front left = Dante's Inferno #8 (Clone)
Front right and middle right = La Bomba #1 & #2
Last 3 are Strawberry AKeil (Serious Seeds).

The La Bomba #2 in the middle stretched so hard that I had to adjust everything else on books and stuff to get the same height.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know - I'm a bit dissatisfied with the result.
Three different stages (clone, 30 days, and 37 days veg)... But it's fine, I guess.

Next time I will defoliate more heavily and scrog even better! So we would have much more buds at the same height.

Update Time :)

Day 23 of flowering!

The La Bomba on the front (right side) seems to have a bit too much food, but it's acceptable.

The Strawberry AKeil on the last row left side has a few purple dots on the leaves. I'm not sure what that is, but I gave it some dolomite lime in the soil and a bit of cal-mag with water. Hopefully, that will help!

Flowering Day 2!

I'm growing a 2x3 x 2x3 setup with:

  • Dutch Passion (11L / 2.91 Gallons - Coco with 20% Perlite)
  • Annabelle's Garden (me) (7L / 1.85 Gallons - Soil)
  • Runtz (Clone) (7L / 1.85 Gallons - Soil)
  • CBD Plant (1 Gallon Fabric Pot - Soil)
Four days ago, I transplanted the 1.32 gallon plants into the 2.91 gallon pots. I watered them with a 20% drain and then waited one day before watering again. I've done this twice now.

My question is: Should I water once a day and then increase to twice a day with a 10% drain from flowering days 7-10?

I'm still learning about coco, so any advice is appreciated!

Hesi has a lower EC because it uses piss as its nitrogen source.

Quick Summary!

Dante's Inferno is perfect!

I found a worm in the Autopot! That's funny, worm castings from Plagron have 100% worms in it.

Left side in the front: La Bomba - I believe it's getting a bit too much fertilizer. The top leaves are turning lighter green.

Middle:

  • Left side: Strawberry AKeil is perfect.
  • Right side: La Bomba - This girl has very small buds. I supercropped them on day 25 because they were 26cm away from the light (they should be 30cm). She still has too much at the bottom, but I don't care and won't lollipop her anymore.
Behind on the right side: Strawberry AKeil - Maybe a nitrogen deficiency? I'm not sure though, it doesn't seem likely.

Behind on the left side: Strawberry Akeil had many rust spots, so maybe I forgot the dolomite lime. I used 10g of dolomite lime, 5g of rock powder, and 2.0ml of cal-mag in 300ml of water and gave her a drink. Now it should be fine.

Overall, it's not perfect, but it seems pretty good. I'm not too worried!

And I didn't find any bananas, balls, or anything like that.

Update Time - Day 28

Summary:

We have one problem child with small buds. All the other plants could have bigger buds, but other than that, there are no hermies.

I will never run three plants with 37 days of veg again, two with 30 and the clone only with 33. You have no idea how much I had to do to get these plants under control, especially because one La Bomba stretched much more than any other plant.

A few plants are 26cm (10 inches) away from the light. Sanlight should be 30cm (11.8 inches) away, but I think it's fine.

70x70 Update

The 70x70 Mars Hydro doesn't have a hole in the bottom, so I can't put a hose in there for intake.
What did Mars Hydro? Thats really not good.

I had to do it from the top. I think there was a light leak, but I fixed it. Nothing hermied.

However, this caused a one-week delay for the bigger plants to go into flowering.

My Savage Hulk F3 are already in flower, as well as Runtz (clone only) and CBD #1 from Ace.

Pictures will come today later.

So UPDATE from the 70x70. I think light came in!

Day 14, no flowers yet in the middle with the 11L Cocos plants! Sure, a lot of energy is being used for new roots, but I don't think that's why I'm not seeing any signs yet. No herms, just a delay of flower for the plants in the middle.

Hardly any stretch with the two plants in the middle.

What I want to say is, from day 1 there was 100% (light). Sanlight CEO said from day 1 you can give 100%, it should give a little more yield than dimming until day 21. He would do it that way, that was his statement, I tried it (for the first time) so maybe that's why there's no stretch.

I find Hesi very discouraging. Their Hesi TNT-Complex is great for the mothers.

I don't know, I took Cocos for full control, but that doesn't work with Hesi because the nitrogen is organic... Like fucking with a condom even though I wanted to go without, I got it anyway.

I just did Lollipopping + moderate defoliation (a little too much for my taste) but I just have 2x11L, 1x5L and 1x 4L (1x fabric pot) in Cocos with 20 - 30% Perlite. I hope the 2x11L won't put so much energy into new leaves now, but it probably will be like that. Then there will be another defoliation, otherwise I'll leave everything as it is. 0 space for LST or further training -.-

First run in a 70x70 and an FC-1500 (bought for 133€) Mars Hydro 150w

And another 2x Savage Hulk F3 (my strain) in 2x 7L fabric pots!

I hope that was detailed enough, if it helps anyone I'm very happy.

Savage Hulk F3 (soil with Biotabs):

6 weeks in 500ml cups. Taken out, roots 5cm thick cut off, watered in 3.6L, after a short time then put in 7L soil. Supercropping, LST, Topping (multiple times), Defoliation (very often to fuck them up), too dry, too wet.. Everything to give them a lot of stress. No balls, bananas or anything else. You really wonder what other breeders do even if a lot is prone to hermie like Sour etc. I'm really happy that my strain is so stable!
They're coming back super fast, dont herm i just love it.

Already on the stemrub u get funky, fruity terps the gas will add on to the pallet later on i cannot wait to get into deep flower with those ladies :)

Hopefully #4 will be like I imagine it, then it will be the mother for the F4 :)

in 11L Cocos (reminder) we have 1x right GRC X BBC F2 from Square One Genetics Grape Rock Candy x Banana Butter Cups F2

Left = Blue Zushi

Front right is the Clone Only Runtz Cut left the CBD #1 from Ace. I've cut it back highly now because I really only want a few grams of it and space is getting tight!

Pictures taken 1 minute after my "work", so they look really crappy :D If anyone wants photos from below or the side, or has any other questions -> I'm an open book!

Looking almost unreal, very glad ive found that one and have it in my mothertent.
Its all grape candy with a hint of gas, i really hope after curing it will have the gas, if not i have to get the sour diesel riri cut and pollinate it with that one, never did fem seeds but i really have to figure something out to put the gas in that one.

It does take so much time to upload all these pictures, if u really wanna see the other plants, then i will upload the other ones. But i will put one more in here the hole gang togheter.

One La Bomba is just "ultra" low yielding, i threw both out and dont run them again, the one in the front is okay and smells just amazing, but ive found my keeper like i mentioned twice already.
The low yielder:

PXL_20241201_184802379.MP.jpg

Strawberry AK from Serious Seeds is amazing too, fruity and bubblegum terps, stacks nicely (3 different phenos).
