impressive. so do you use the original biotabs or guerillas? and what is your dosage of it? and do you water the pk booster compost tea by hand or add it to the reservoir? also, do you adjust ph? and have you tried the system without additional perlite?

Hey Buddy!!

Biotabs:

  • I use the original Biotabs, not the Guerilla version.
  • I use one Biotab for a 5L (1.32 gallon) pot.
  • I use two Biotabs for a 15L (3.9 gallon) pot.
  • After 6-7 weeks, I might add 1/2 or 1/4 of a Biotab - after the first giving.
Compost Tea:

  • I water the compost tea by hand, I wouldn't put it in the reservoir.
  • I use 500ml (1/4 gallon) per plant, as suggested in the manual.
pH:

  • I don't adjust the pH. My tap water has a pH of 7.8-7.9, and I haven't had any issues.
  • I believe microbes will adjust the pH naturally in an organic system.
  • If you do adjust pH, be consistent and use the same pH for every watering.
  • Microbes don't like fluctuations.
Substrate:

  • I use Biobizz Light-Mix as my substrate.
  • It's low in nutrients, making it perfect for the "just add water" Biotab strategy.
  • Light-Mix needs cal-mag, so I add dolomite lime.
Perlite:

  • Biobizz Light-Mix contains 30% perlite out of the box (15L)
  • I add 2 x 10L of perlite, resulting in a 50/50 mix of Light-Mix and perlite.
  • I tried using 30% perlite once, and it wasn't good. The lower branches died, and the stems buckled.
  • You need oxygen in your substrate, especially when it's heavily saturated (it is 100% all the time).

I prefer an autopot with a pump, I don't want unpleasant experiences and worries such as water losses.

Growing in coco doesn't appeal to me, so I don't think I'll ever grow in something like that, but 50% perlite 50% soiI would try :D

Update!! Flowering day 21!

Front left = Dante's Inferno #8 (Clone)
Front right and middle right = La Bomba #1 & #2
Last 3 are Strawberry AKeil (Serious Seeds).

The La Bomba #2 in the middle stretched so hard that I had to adjust everything else on books and stuff to get the same height.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know - I'm a bit dissatisfied with the result.
Three different stages (clone, 30 days, and 37 days veg)... But it's fine, I guess.

Next time I will defoliate more heavily and scrog even better! So we would have much more buds at the same height.

Update Time :)

Day 23 of flowering!

The La Bomba on the front (right side) seems to have a bit too much food, but it's acceptable.

The Strawberry AKeil on the last row left side has a few purple dots on the leaves. I'm not sure what that is, but I gave it some dolomite lime in the soil and a bit of cal-mag with water. Hopefully, that will help!

Flowering Day 2!

I'm growing a 2x3 x 2x3 setup with:

  • Dutch Passion (11L / 2.91 Gallons - Coco with 20% Perlite)
  • Annabelle's Garden (me) (7L / 1.85 Gallons - Soil)
  • Runtz (Clone) (7L / 1.85 Gallons - Soil)
  • CBD Plant (1 Gallon Fabric Pot - Soil)
Four days ago, I transplanted the 1.32 gallon plants into the 2.91 gallon pots. I watered them with a 20% drain and then waited one day before watering again. I've done this twice now.

My question is: Should I water once a day and then increase to twice a day with a 10% drain from flowering days 7-10?

I'm still learning about coco, so any advice is appreciated!

Hesi has a lower EC because it uses piss as its nitrogen source.

Quick Summary!

Dante's Inferno is perfect!

I found a worm in the Autopot! That's funny, worm castings from Plagron have 100% worms in it.

Left side in the front: La Bomba - I believe it's getting a bit too much fertilizer. The top leaves are turning lighter green.

Middle:

  • Left side: Strawberry AKeil is perfect.
  • Right side: La Bomba - This girl has very small buds. I supercropped them on day 25 because they were 26cm away from the light (they should be 30cm). She still has too much at the bottom, but I don't care and won't lollipop her anymore.
Behind on the right side: Strawberry AKeil - Maybe a nitrogen deficiency? I'm not sure though, it doesn't seem likely.

Behind on the left side: Strawberry Akeil had many rust spots, so maybe I forgot the dolomite lime. I used 10g of dolomite lime, 5g of rock powder, and 2.0ml of cal-mag in 300ml of water and gave her a drink. Now it should be fine.

Overall, it's not perfect, but it seems pretty good. I'm not too worried!

And I didn't find any bananas, balls, or anything like that.
